"Rain," Madison, held me in her arms and stopped me on the porch the moment I ran from his home.
She held me tightly in her arms.
My hand returned her hug, holding her tighter.
"Deucalion sends me a message that you are here," she said in my right ear. "That he as found you lying soaked in the rain by the river. Why have you run away from me last night?" asked Madison worried.
I cried hard recollecting how angry and hurt I was that night when my memory returned to me of what the cruel alpha did to me. My body was filled with so much anger and resentment for him I felt like I was going to explode that night. I had to vent it out.
I didn't retort to Madison. My face was buried in her shoulder which was now soaked from my tears.
"I was so worried when you were gone," continued Madison. "I felt like I was going to die no longer seeing you in the room. Please don't leave me again, ever, I beg you."
My tears stopped instantly by her comment.
"Please don't," she remained to beg. "I don't know how I'll continue to dwell in that lonely home without you."
My head went to a large glass window and I saw the alpha looking at me.
"Say you won't, Rain," I again heard Madison as my eyes still kept on the cruel alpha.
"Please take me away from here," I told her as my eyes finally left the wicked wolf.
Madison's arms quickly went from around me.
"Not until you promise me that you will stay here," she said determinedly.
My eyes slowly returned to the window and I felt my body filled with rage, though I no longer saw him watching us.
"I will not stay here with a murder!" I yelled.
Before Madison could say anything to me, I ran away.
"Rain, Rain," Madison called as she chased me from behind.
I didn't know why I didn't run straight into the forest, and away from this land knowing that The Grey Pack was no more, instead, I returned to Madison's home and sat on the wet step of her Porch.
Seeing I was at the step of her home, Madison slowly approached me and sat on the wet step as well. My head lowered, sadly.
"What do you mean, you won't stay with a murder?" Madison asked curiously.
My teeth tightened in anger that they hurt within my mouth.
"Alpha Deucalion," I retorted with pure hatred.
"I don't understand I thought you were happy that the Grey Pack Members were all gone," said Madison confused.
I got up and walked to a chair on the porch, ready to tell her who he had killed, but it was so hard to. The words were too painful to say.
"Wait," Madison tried to stop me. "Are you concerned that he killed the children, the mothers, and the innocent ones who have no part in their wicked leader act?"
Madison got up and sat next to me.
"He killed my mate," My eyes closed with tears managing to tell her what her cold-hearted nephew did to me.
"What!" she exclaimed.
There was silence, my eyes opened and tears slowly ran from my eyes as I looked at Madison. She sat in the chair as if she was frozen by my words.
"How could it be?" she asked as her eyes kept away from me.
In her voice, I could hear hurt and disappointment at what her nephew did to me.
The alpha had killed my mate, making me lonely and mateless I wanted him to feel the same I was. I was going to tell Madison, everything that happened to me the night of the full moon and also he was the cause of me being raped.
"Are you sure, he did?" her eyes finally turned to me.
I nodded and my head lowered ready to tell her everything as much as it hurts being reminded of it.
"The night I found my mate, he came from the bushes and killed him," I told Madison.
Immediately, Madison got up shocked by the news. She began to cry as her back turned towards me.
"After he did, he gave me the hardest fist in the head and called The Grey Pack to carry me away."
"Shut up!" Madison turned around and shouted at me as if she didn't believe me.
I began to cry. I should have known she would have never taken my side for her evil nephew.
"I'm sorry," she came over to me and held my hands. "I cannot believe that my nephew I've known for so long can be so cruel," she said. "He may have his bad ways sometimes but I just cannot believe he'll do such a thing."
My hands dragged away from her.
"He killed my mate and he's the reason why I was raped!" I yelled at Madison infuriated.
Madison was so shocked that her hand held her left breast and she fainted. I was so petrified at what happened that I watched her fall.
"Madison," my body lowered beside her trying to wake her up.
"Madison," I kept on calling and touched her face trying to wake her up.
I was so scared I didn't know what to do or how to help her. My head lowered to her chest, listening for a heartbeat. Her heart was still beating. She wasn't dead. She had passed out. I tried to take her to the room. Lifting her head, I realized there was blood in my hand and on my fingers. I had allowed her to receive an injury because I didn't catch her in time. Madison could succumb to her injury and die because of me.
Swiftly, I left her and ran to get help. I hated who I was going to for help but I had to for Madison's sake. I hit his door as I got there. The door was opened by Alaric and not him.
"Madison needs help, she needs a doctor," I told him.
Before he followed me back home, he informed the maid to tell the alpha when he returned home that Madison was hurt.
"Go and be with her, I'm going to get the pack's doctor," said Alaric.
I did what he told me to.
I sat on the porch beside Madison worried and impatiently for Alaric to come with the doctors. He was soon here with the doctor. He took up Madison and brought her to her room. Nervously, I watched the doctor as he examined Madison and started to clean the blood from her head.
Alaric stood by my side.
"Will she be okay?" I asked concerned.
"She'll be," retorted the doctor.
"So, she won't die?" I again asked wanting to make sure nothing bad will happened to her.
"No," said the doctor as he remove a herb from his bag and placed it at Madison's nose. She woke up instantly.
"Madison," I ran to her hugging her.
"I thought I lost you, I'm sorry for upsetting you," I cried to her.
She held my hand around her and thank the doctor.
"Your welcome," said the doctor and went off.
"Do you want me to stay with you for some time?" Alaric asked Madison, still in the room with us.
"No, I'll be fine," retorted Madison.
"Okay, the alpha will be coming to check on you as soon as he hears the news," Alaric told Madison.
I watched her as her eyes turned to Alaric.
"Yes, I'll be waiting impatiently for his visit," she said gravely.
Alaric eyes paused at her sensing something off about her comment. His eyes soon went to mine. My eyes lowered as he did. I heard him leave closing the door behind him.
Madison didn't say much after. She just lay in bed with her eyes never leaving the door as if she was anxious for the alpha to come.
I thought about giving her some time alone but I didn't want to leave her alone. I wanted to be by her side if she somehow needed the doctor again.
"Are you feeling any pain?" I asked.
"I'll never forgive him for what he did to you?" said Madison instead of answering my question.
I nodded and held her hand that reaches out toward me. That's what I wanted I wanted her to hate him as much as I hated him. I lost my mate and I wanted his beloved aunt to turn away from him.
My hand pulled away from Madison and I stood up as I heard the door open from downstairs. It was the cruel alpha coming. At that moment I was positive without any doubt that was him. As he walked hurriedly upstairs Madison stood up and I got closer to her, still having a fear of him.
Madison's door opened and I held onto her hand now seeing the alpha standing before us.
Madison gave the alpha a grave look, the alpha glanced at me discovering what was about to happen. He knew for himself that Madison now knew, he was the one who killed my mate, the one who captured me and gave me to the Grey pack, and finally, the cause of me being raped.
I was going to stand and watched him lose her.
