The morning I woke up, Madison was still in bed sound asleep. It was odd to see her still in bed knowing she would have been downstairs cooking breakfast by then.
I slowly got out of bed not wanting to wake her and took my time to open the door and locked it behind me.
I went to the bathroom to tidy up and to my room to change from my nightwear into easy clothes to put on. I found a white dress I don't remember seeing in the closet. I immediately put it on. I looked at myself in the mirror seeing it was not my size, it was big. I decided to wear it anyways since it hid my fat belly and I wasn't too proud of seeing it, which was good.
I went downstairs and into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for Madison. I've seen her prepare breakfast for me many times and so I decided to do so for her as well. I have planned to fry sausage for breakfast.
I went to the unlit fire area she would start the fire before placing the pot on top of the fire. I paused and stared at it not having a clue how to start the fire myself.
I was getting frustrated which strangely caused me to become hungry and so I reached for a bag of raw sausage and started to eat hungrily and too vexed I couldn't start the fire. As I ate the last sausage in the bag I remembered a match Madison used to create the fire. I smiled as I found it. I jumped as I manage to start the fire and placed the pot over the fire.
I poured the oil into the pot and quickly searched for another bag of sausage. Suddenly, I realized, I had eaten the last bag of sausage. I found myself becoming very emotional and I cried. I wanted to do something nice for Madison once and I had ruined it.
I couldn't find any eggs and, disappointedly I had to get rid of the fire.
As I was through, I heard a knock on the door. I wiped away my tears and hurriedly went to open the door. I was surprised to see it was Madison's niece, Cali, who she introduced me to at the event. She was not alone, her brother was standing at the door before me as well, the alpha.
Cali gave me a grave look and hurriedly walked past me. I winced as her side hit me hard in the belly.
"Cali!" the alpha shouted at her.
She stopped. I turned to look at her rubbing the side of my belly.
"Have you forgotten your manners?" the alpha asked her seeing how she treated me.
Again, I was stunned by his strange actions toward me.
"Morning," Cali said down in her throat and quickly turned back around walking to Madison's room.
"Morning," the alpha then greeted me.
"Morning," I greeted him back looking at him strangely.
I walked away from him heading straight into the living room not wanting to be in their way. After all, they were Madison's family and I was nothing to her.
"How is Madison doing?" the alpha stopped me.
"Not well, you should check on her as well," I told him and hurriedly walked away from him.
I sat in a chair in the living room he could not see me, which was good.
I wanted nothing to do with him after everything he made happened to me.
I heard the alpha as he went upstairs.
I didn't understand why his sister hated me when I'd never done anything bad to her. I was starting to believe it was the alpha causing this.
A few minutes later the alpha returned downstairs and into the living room.
"A helper will be sent here, so, you don't have to worry about doing any housework," he told me.
"Is Madison alright?" I had to ask concerned about her as I stood up.
I mean why would he offer to send a helper, Madison must have been becoming very sick of what had happened. I didn't understand.
"Just depressed," he replied.
I nodded as I returned to my seat and began to worry.
My head sadly went from the alpha.
He was still in the living room. I could feel his eyes watching me.
"She'll be fine soon," I heard him.
My eyes went to his tearfully.
"Cali will also be staying here with you until Madison is back to her normal self."
"Yes," my head turned back away from him.
He then went away.
I was happy that Madison will be fine, especially since she has her niece around her.
I was therefore more worried knowing it was not going to be easy with her staying here with me.
Within a few minutes, I went to check on Madison and see if she needs me to do anything for her.
"Madison," I called as I knocked on her door.
"Come, Rain, you don't have to knock," I heard Madison.
I smiled admiring how kind she is always to me. I was a bit nervous when I opened the door knowing Cali who hates me for no reason at all was inside with her.
My heart raced as I entered the room and even more when I saw Cali sitting on the bed. She was worried as she looked at Madison.
Her eyes which were now filled with hatred looked at me.
I looked away nervously from her and at Madison who was just staring through her open window sadly.
"Madison," I called.
She looked at me. As she did, I saw her eyes widen and slowly began to fill with tears. She immediately came off the bed as she did.
"Where did you get that from?" she questioned in tears.
I looked down and saw it was the dress she was asking about.
"In the closet," I stutter as my eyes went back to her.
"I thought I threw it away," Madison ran from the room, upset.
"Madison," I called her. "I'll take it off if you hate it," I began to chase her.
I felt Cali pull me back and I winced feeling a sharp pain against my right cheek.
I held my cheek that now ached, as I looked at her surprisingly.
"Why are you wearing her maternal dress, you fool?" she asked angrily.
I didn't understand what she meant by maternal dress.
"Look what you have done, you've upset her," said Cali angrily ready to hit me again.
I felt a great and uncontrollable rage. I pushed away her hand before she could again slap my face.
Cali screamed as she held her hand which was now bleeding. I looked at my hand covered in her blood as my claws slowly returned to the skin.
Madison heard her and quickly return to her room. She was so surprised at what had happened.
"I don't know how it happened," I told Madison.
I didn't mean to hurt her niece. I was only trying to push her hand away before she could slap me across the face again.
"I didn't mean to," I cried as I saw Madison for the first looked at me angrily.
"Get out!" Madison yelled at me.
"Madison please listen to me," I begged as I approached her.
"Leave my house now!" Madison again yelled.
"Madison please don't," I begged her not to.
I glanced at Cali behind Madison and I saw her smirking at me. She was enjoying what was happening to me. She wanted to see me out from her aunt's home.
Madison slapped me across the face. I was so shocked she would do such a thing to me.
"Get out you illiterate and wild wolf!" she shouted at me.
I looked at Madison who I loved, who I had so much respect for, and looked at as a mother not believing she was treating me this way.
Her eyes glared at me with anger and not wanting to forgive me for hurting her niece.
I ran away hurt with a large hole in my heart that will never be able to be healed.
