The Hidden She-Wolf

Chapter 24

Ch. 25 / 63 Mar 24, 2026

The door opens and Madison entered the room, with a tray of food.

My head turned away, back to the closed glass window, staring sadly at the tall tree outside.

I heard Madison place down the meal she brought for me on the small bedside table and the bed lowered as she sat beside me. She touched my hand and my eyes remained on the trees, watching the branches as they slowly moved in the wind.

"Please eat something," Madison urged me.

"Rain," Madison called.

My head turned to her.

"Please eat something before going to bed."

My head moved, telling her no.

My back turned to her as I change position laying on my right side, allowing her to know I wanted to be left alone.

The bed raised where she sat and I felt her lips on the side of my face, kissing me.

"I'll be downstairs if you need me, and a warm bowl of soup is behind you if you feel like eating something, before sleeping," Madison informed me.

As she exited the room, I cried; not for what the cruel wolf, Rolph did to me but for what had happened to my mate, the one I was supposed to spend my entire life with. I lost my entire pack and now the one the moon goddess had blessed me with. I sobbed hard. I was starting to believe I was cursed. The day I was born from my mother's womb, my mom and my entire pack were killed and now when I find my mate the same thing happened to him.

I screamed.

Thunder rolls and lightning flashes as the rain falls heavily.

"Rain!" I heard Madison running upstairs hearing my screams.

She entered my room quickly and held me in her arms.

"Everything will soon be okay," she tried to calm me down.

"No, it won't," I retorted.

"It will."

"I'm a curse," I told her.

"Please don't say that," Madison tries to encourage me. "What happened to you is not your fault, bad things sometimes just happened to a good wolf."

"I am of course," I disagreed with every encouragement she tried to make me feel better inside.

"Sh.....," Madison rocked me.

The night I didn't know when or how I had managed to fall asleep under the extreme trauma I was going through. I found out I was asleep when Madison had awoken me.

My eyes slowly opened and closed by the sunlight making its way inside of my room.

"I have good news," I heard Madison.

Within her voice, I heard happiness.

My eyes peeled half open and I saw a bright smile on Madison's face as she sat beside me.

"Rain, The Grey Pack is no more," I heard her.

Immediately my eyes were fully opened by the news.

"Alpha Deucalion and his men as put an end to their pack."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I was starting to think what Madison was saying to me wasn't true, I could be dreaming. I could still be asleep.

I pushed my body to sit up and a pain struck between my thigh. My face grimaced in pain and there I realized it was a dream. I wasn't asleep.

"Let me get you some pain reliever," Madison quickly stood up, worried.

"I'm fine," I stopped her.

She sat back down beside me and held both of my hands staring into my eyes.

"Rain, you don't have to worry about The Grey Pack bothering you anymore, they're no more," Madison said to me.

Tears rushed from my eyes and I immediately hugged her. I cried like a pup.

I was happy that The Grey Pack was no more and they got back what they have done to my pack. I only wished my family and The River pack had too lived to see the downfall of The Grey Pack.

"It's okay, Rain, you're safe here with us now and you're now a part of The Dark Blood Pack," Madison told me as she bring my face to her and wiped away my tears.

I nodded.

"I'm sorry if I've disturbed you from your sleep, but the moment the alpha and his men as returned I know I had to tell you right away that the horrible Pack is no more."

I gave her a smile.

"That's what I want to see on your face," Madison gently pinched my right cheek.

"You need to eat something to get some energy," said Madison. "It's almost 3 pm and you've eaten nothing."

I was so surprised at how late it was and how long I was sleeping.

I nodded.

Madison helped me to lie down back on the bed. I growled in pain.

I didn't understand why I was still in an excess amount of pain, my body should be healing from what had happened to me yesterday.

"Can I check?" Madison's head lowered to my lower body.

I nodded.

My face grimaced as she lifted up the nightwear and checked between my thigh.

"You're swollen, you shouldn't be," said Madison.

"What is happening to me?" I asked worriedly.

"I feel it could be after the horrible incident you've been through, being raped and your mate being killed your body is having difficulty healing after the trauma you've gone through."

"When will the pain go away," I asked.

"You have to try to find peace of mind and I fear that's going to take some time."

"Let me get you something quick to eat before I've given you something to help you with the pain," said Madison.

I nodded.

Madison left my room, and within a few minutes, she returned with a bowl of soup. She sat beside me and fed me. After I was through she gave me some pain reliever.

"The pain reliever will make you feel sleepy," she said.

I nodded, feeling a bit dizzy.

"It will be of some help for your body to get a good amount of rest. You may heal faster."

I again nodded as I felt myself falling to sleep.

*****

The place was almost dark when I jumped up from my sleep. It was coming to the end of the day. My body was covered in sweat and my nightwear felt damped. My heart was beating very fast and I was in shock recollecting of what had happened to me the night of the full moon. I wasn't taken by The Grey Pack Members, I was given to them.
