The Hidden She-Wolf

Chapter 53

Ch. 54 / 63 Mar 24, 2026

Rain's P.O.V

After I've seen the power I possessed. The night I shifted into my wolf form and return deep into the depth of the forest training to rightfully use my lightning powers. I discovered I could create lightning without any rain. I could make it spin around me, like some defense walls to protect me from anyone approaching me. My lightning could not only turn a wolf into ashes, but it could also make fire, make things vanish to where I want them to be, and slice a tree into pieces. I could not only do it in my human form but also in my wolf form.

I smiled seeing that all along I had such powers that I didn't know of. I could protect myself and all along I was relying on someone to protect me when I could do so on my own. I no longer need Alpha Arkane or anyone else protection. I could do so on my own. Tonight I discover it all from my anger by all the pain they put me through.

"Tomorrow, they shall pay."

I was so consumed with anger, sleep never came close to me. I sat under a tree and just kept watching the night praying for the next day to finally arrive. As it did. I shifted into my wolf form not caring that anyone would see the blue markings and realized that I was a member of The River Pack they thought was extinct by the horrible Grey Pack Member. I ran speedily through the forest sighting every tree that was in my way. I slowed down as I arrived at the Land of The Dark Blood Pack, thinking of every step and move I had planned to take down Madison and The evil alpha, Alpha Deucalion. The first step was to make them come to me. I growled and I began running into their land.

The main area I had planned to execute my first step. I spotted wolves going about their business and other purchasing items. Some paused to take a look at me. In their curious eyes, I saw they had no clue who I was. I was unbothered, for they will discover soon that I am the last River Pack member when they see me bring down their powerful alpha and make him powerless before me.

I stopped between the path of the main area and I closed my eyes creating bolts of lightning, striking every roof of the buildings. They began to scream as I did and scattered like headless chickens. I watched them as they ran for their life.

A she-wolf fell before me, she screamed as she look me in my eyes which were now glowing.

"Get me your alpha, and Madison as well," I commanded her.

She ran from me.

I continued striking every area, some buildings I set aflame. The supermarket where the owner thought I was a thief and the bar where the alpha destroy the first sweet I've ever tasted.

I growled impatiently for the alpha and Madison to come to me.

"Where are you alpha Deucalion and Madison!" I yelled. "Come to me so I can kill you both now!"

A satisfying feeling swept over me when I saw him running opposite toward me. I imagine setting his dark wolf into flames and watching him as he slowly turned to ashes, but what fun would that be? I wanted him to see me and know who I was while I did so. I took my stance and create a defense wall around me that could kill him if he got too close to me.

My eyes glowed brighter as he now stood 6 feet away from me.

"Who are you and what do you want?" he asked not being able to see my face through my defense wall.

I decreased the strength allowing him to see who I was while I looked him gravely in the eyes.

His eyes widened.

"Where is Madison?" I asked angrily.

I didn't come here for him alone. I came for her as well. To kill them both.

"Rain," he said frighteningly.

"No, Salem, my name is Salem Harpen. The last, surviving member of the river pack and you've messed with the wrong wolf," I told him angrily.

My defense wall increased and I created a bolt of lightning to strike him.

He sighted it.

"No, Rain," I finally heard Madison running towards us.

My defense wall went away and I shifted into my human form, now standing before them naked. My eyes were still glowing. It shines like the sun. I could feel how powerful I was.

"Please don't do this," she pleaded as she stood before the alpha.

"He hurt me and I can never forgive you for taking my only blood from me," I told her.

"I'm sorry," Madison apologized. "I should have known you were a river pack because of the frequent rain and how it would fall whenever you cry and how you remind me of her. My ex-lover sometimes."

"I am her daughter, and your mate was my father," I began to cry. Recollecting the horrible death of him

Rain soon came pouring down, soaking every one of us.

"Rain, I'm sorry for all the pain my nephew had put you through and also for foolishly doing an abortion without your consent," Madison again apologized.

Deep down I still loved Madison. I thought I didn't but I did. How could I forget all the nice things she had once done for me?

I shook my head not wanting her to change my mind about killing her as well.

"I have to do this, for peace," I said as I created the defense wall again.

"Rain, please don't do this," she begged me.

"My name is Salem Harpen!" I yelled at her.

All my anger returned and I created the largest bolt of lightning I've ever created sending it both to them, Alpha Deucalion took up Madison and escaped with her but he could never outrun my lightning. I watched as the lightning got closer and closer to them.

I was surprised as Alpha Deucalion took the lightning throwing Madison aside to safety. The lightning strike him in his side and left him bleeding on the ground. I walked up to him wanting him to see my face as he took his last breath.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he kept apologizing out of breath.

I observed his naked body as he shifted into his human form. I noticed the bite marks on his arms were still fresh as if I had just bitten him again.

"Look at me!" I ordered.

He rolled onto his back. He looked so weak. I enjoyed seeing him that way.

I placed one foot into his lower abdomen.

"Please forgive me," he begged me.

It felt good seeing him beg, the once powerful alpha, now so weak.

My foot squeezed into his lower abdomen causing his side to bleed even more. He growled in pain

"I will never forgive you," I told him.

Alpha Deucalion breathed heavily as if he was about to die but I wasn't finished with him yet.

"Please kill me but leave Madison alone," he again begged.

"You both deserve to die," I told him.

I was not going to let anyone of them live.

Madison was lying on the floor unconscious.

I heard a number of wolves, his fighter running towards me. My hand stretched to the sky gathering as many bolts of lightning as I could, to kill anyone who wanted to intervene.

"Rain, no," I heard a familiar voice.

I looked behind me and I was surprised to see who it was. It was Alpha Arkane.

I was surprised that he was here for me. I know he could not stand his cousin, Alpha Deucalion.

"Please don't be like them, don't be like the ones who have hurt you," he told me as he stretched out one of his hands for me to take.

"No, they need to die," I told him.

"I've been through so much like you Rain and in the end, I choose not to be like them, I choose to be better and to be for the ones who had gone through a painful life like me, to help them," said Arkane.

What Arkane had said touched me. I reached for his hand.

"Don't attack," I heard Alpha Deucalion instructing his members.

I turned to look at him and he gave me the saddest look.

I immediately left with Alpha Arkane.

When I returned to the Pain Back everyone surrounded me referring to me as the moon goddess.

All my life I grew in fear believing I would be a threat if anyone should know who I was, but instead, it was the exact opposite.

I've also learned something new about myself from Arkane. A high-level River Pack member like myself was born as a leader, a Luna. I didn't need an Alpha to be a Luna, for I was a born one.

I spun around me as members of The Pain Pack kneel on their knees for me worshipping me like some goddess. My grandmother once told me wolves from other packs used to cherish them in such a way because of their special abilities which seemed godly.

Alpha Arkane held my hand and raised it into the air.

"Today, we've discovered a great wolf within our pack!" he shouted.

Everyone shouted. I no longer had to hide who I am.

I am Salem Harpen, a born Luna, and the last surviving River Pack Member.
