"Go, with them," said Arkane disappointed. "You're not a rogue, you don't belong within this pack."
My heart felt like it split into two by his words.
"Arkane no," I reached out to touch him, but he motioned himself away from me before I could.
I was heartbroken. The one who understands pain and the pack I felt home at, I was being kicked out. I was not going to allow it to happen. I was not going to make Madison and the alpha ruin for me, a life with Arkane.
Arkane began to walk away from me.
"I'm not going anywhere," both hands tightened angrily.
My heart beats fast as he slowly turned to face me.
"You have no choice Rain," he said. "I'm the alpha of this pack and those who are not rogues do not belong here."
I looked at him tearfully and tried hard to control my tears.
"I trusted you rain and believed you were one of us but all along you were lying," Arkane said upset.
Tears came rolling from my eyes and rain came pouring down. I couldn't fight the tears anymore seeing Arkane become so angry at me.
"No, follow me and leave with them now!" he growled at me for the first.
I felt a sharp pain run through my heart. My right hand went over it as I winced in pain.
"Get moving rain, my members dislike dark blood pack members on our land," he said looking at me scornfully.
I'd made up my mind not to leave and I wasn't going to. Both feet stood firmly on the ground showing him I wasn't going to.
Arkane got frustrated and tried to grab my hand, but I moved away from him before he could.
"Why are you annoying me now, Rain?" he asked upset.
"Because I want to be a part of your pack and I don't want to go with them."
A hand ran through Arkane’s dark hair that was dripping from the rain. We were both soaked.
"Some of us don't choose like you which pack we want to be a part of!" Arkane yelled irritated.
"Where you even rape as well or was lying to us just to pretend like you had a sad life as well?" said Arkane.
What he said hurt me, very badly.
"Of course, I was," I cried hard.
Still not believing me Arkane grabbed me by the hand and started pulling me from the river.
I bite him on his hand allowing him to let me go.
"I'm not going with them!" I yelled.
Arkane looked at me angrily and I saw his claws emerging from his fingers vexed I had bitten him.
Immediately, I lifted my bang allowing him to see the mark on my forehead.
"I'm not going with them," I again tell him.
Arkane anger immediately transformed into sadness as he saw the marking on my forehead.
He came over to me and touched it.
“Was he who did this?” he asked angrily.
“He too was the one who made me get raped,” I talked about the cruel alpha, Alpha Deucalion.
Arkane began to march away from me, for a fight with the alpha but I stopped him, holding him from behind by his right arm.
He looked at me, his dark eyes were filled with rage.
“Please don’t fight him, just let them leave. Tell them I want nothing to do with them,” I told Arkane.
I didn’t want Arkane to fight the alpha. I knew Arkane was a great fighter as well, based on his strength and speed but I had doubts he was no match for Alpha Deucalion, not now, I guess.
“Now would be a good time to attack, for he’s alone,” said Arkane, wanting to seek my revenge.
It felt good that he wanted to protect him, but I feared I could somehow lose him, also.
“Please don’t I beg you, Arkane, just let him leave, please,”
Arkane closed his eyes angrily.
“Okay….,” he retorted under his tightened teeth.
“Thank you,” I smiled.
I was happy he again trusted me, and I was still a part of this pack.
The rain had finally calmed down.
Before Arkane left to give Madison and the cruel alpha my message. One of his hands slowly touched my mark.
“Never believe you’re nothing,” he told me.
"As long as I'm with you, I won't," I told him.
He kissed my forehead and my eyes closed by his lips. They truly were soft as I’d assumed.
Soon, I watched him worriedly as he left, hoping Madison and the alpha goes away without trying to compel me to return to their land. The alpha I was mostly worried about.
I held my belly not wanting Madison to see me now, my pup was a river pack member like me, and he or she might have my strange abilities and I feared Madison will also want me to get an abortion like Jane knowing I was not ready to be a mother. I was scared of forcefully losing my pup.
