The priest told them to close their eyes and wait until he instructed them to open them. He took a dagger and cut Lily's palm and did the same for Kayden. Lily shivered at the pain and shed a tear.
Kayden knew all about this process but for Lily, it's completely strange to her. He held her other hand helping her to soothe the pain.
The priest took their bleeding hands and robbed it against each other allowing their blood to get mixed. "Look up and make sure the first thing that you see is the moon" the priest instructed.
Kayden and Lily did and opened their eyes. The first thing that came into sight was the moon, they were lucky, it's the auspicious hour.
"Now, engrave your mark on her soul" the priest instructed next. This is the climax and most significant part of their ceremony. "Please forgive me Lily, this is going to be painful but it will be quick" Kayden informed her.
Lily was wondering. Hadn't he marked her back then in the human world? What kind of mark does he want to mark her again and even saying it himself that it would be painful.
Kayden Diego held her by the waist and lifted her veil. He looked at her beautiful face before he bent to the level of her neck. His sharp fangs appeared and he dug into the flesh by her neck. "Aaahh" Lily screamed but soon felt comfortable with the Fang still in her flesh.
After some seconds, Kayden withdrew his fangs and robbed that part of her flesh and the cut disappeared leaving only a beautiful Mark behind.
He looked at her and saw tears in her eyes. He felt touched by those tears but that is the only way the werewolf wedding goes. "I am sorry" he said in a whisper.
Lily nodded slightly and at the same time, the priest then declared them husband and wife, lord and lordess.
Every one present bowed before their lord and lordess. Kayden then kissed Lily briefly as the refreshments were served.
Few hours later, the wedding came to an end and the guests all retired. The new couple were escorted to his highness' quarters.
As soon as they stepped in, two servants came forward and bowed "your highness, with your permission we'll like to prepare her lordship"
Prepare? For what Lily thought. Hadn't she been preparing for the past two days?. Initially, Kayden held her hand firm but gradually he released her hand and walked past them.
"Your lordship, please this way" the servants said and bowed. Without an option, Lily followed them as they brought her into a small room.
They helped Lily change out of her wedding dress into a beautiful white silk nightgown. They removed the pins in her hair and let it fall in waves down on her shoulders. Next they sprayed a scent on her skin and gave her tea.
"What's the tea for?" Lily asked. What does she need a tea for and this tea doesn't smell like something she had taken before.
"It's a herbal tea lordess, and it will make you relax and feel less pain," One of the servants explained. "What pain?" Lily asked and almost immediately regretted asking that question.
The two servants looked at each other and then looked away. Lily can tell from their eyes that they felt pity for her.
" I don't need it," Lily declared and stood up. "Lead me to the bridal chamber" she ordered.
The servants had no option than to follow her orders. Soon she was led into Kayden Diego's room. The room was beautiful and large with a king sized bed. Kayden's photos were hung all over the place. The bedspread was completely white with a few flowered decorations. The room was indeed befitting a werewolf lord.
They adjusted her gown and arranged her hair before saying "We'll inform his highness that you are ready" and bowed before stepping out.
Kayden Diego was in the business of dishing out instructions to Justin, when the servants came in and bowed. "Her Majesty awaits his highness".
Kayden turned and replied with an "Ok" expressionlessly. When he was done with Justin, he returned into his private chamber to change.
Kayden took a shower before changing into a loose robe. He had to be mated with her that night. It has to be that night. He came to the door and felt a little reluctant to turn the knob. As soon as he stepped in, his eyes fell on Lily who sat on the bed and possibly waiting for him.
The scent in the room makes him feel aroused already. "Waiting for me already?" he teased and went towards her. Lily raised her head and saw Kayden in a loose robe that barely reached his knee. His legs looked white and very hairy.
She's never seen his flesh beyond his face, hands and neck. But staring at his legs now, Lily saw how beautiful his legs were.
Kayden Diego drew closer and looked into her eyes like he was searching for something. "Why are you staring at my eyes?" Lily demanded. "That's to see if I can find love written in them" Kayden replied with a smile and pulled Lily to himself. He is the man and should take the initiative first. As soon as he touched her, he felt an undeniable urge surging within him.
He raised her head to face him and looked into her eyes. He allowed their eyes to stay locked together for a while before he gently placed his lips on her's. He started kissing her and she seemed to be ready for him as she accepted his kisses, intensifying it.
"Lily, we have to consummate our wedding, tonight. I hope you don't mind?" He whispered. He can feel the heat in his own body and he can take her any moment. Lily nodded.
Next morning, Kayden Diego was the first to wake up. The experience of the previous night was so fresh in his memory. He gently moved the sleeping Lily whose head was on his chest onto the pillow. He slipped out from under the quilt naked and picked his night robe, throwing it into the collecting bin.
He went to have a warm bath, put on a different robe and stepped out. He went to the kitchen to prepare them some tea. He had given all the servants leave since last night so he's not expecting any of them that morning.
Lily had also woken up. When she opened her eyes, she didn't find Kayden in the room. She was surprised that she was able to stand up the next morning feeling so light without any pain.
She remembered the first time they did it, she screamed out in pain and even cried but Kayden Diego seemed too immersed in the act to realize that she was crying. But the other times he took her, she felt no pain again but a pure bliss of pleasure.
Kayden Diego is really a beast. How can he do a woman over and over without being tired?. She went into the bathroom and took a shower. When she stepped out, she saw her mother inlaw had just arrived, calling out to them from the door
"Come in Mother" Lily answered just stepping out of the bathroom, water dripping down her hair. Royal mother came in and smiled when she saw Lily. She asked if she's not intruding and Lily said she's not, she's always welcome anytime.
She asked after Kayden and before Lily could say anything, he walked in holding two glasses of tea. Lily was shy and didn't raise her head when her mother in law came in.
"Hey you're awake already. I was coming to wake you up with my specially prepared tea"Kayden said and seemed not to see his mother standing by. He went to place the tea by the bedside table.
He then greeted his mother and was going to hold Lily when his mother said "I was thinking if I could call the dry cleaners to wash the.." She trailed off and lifted the quilt.
She did what she did deliberately. She doesn't trust her Son. She's afraid he might not touch her and hence decided to check in out herself. When she saw the blood stained bedspread, she smiled. Her excitement was too visible to be faked.
Lily's complexion turned red. She blushed and felt like going to hide herself somewhere. Royal mother had known now that she and Kayden had consummated their wedding so soon.
Kayden Diego's eyes went from his mother to the blood stained bedspread and then returned to Lily. When he Saw her complexion, he knew she was blushing.
"Yes, I will have this bedspread laundry. Maybe I will just get going with it. Kay, could you help me remove it?" Royal mother pretends not to see anything.
"You don't have to worry, mother. I will have it done by my personal laundry" Kayden Diego said trying to cover the awkwardness in the air.
"Lily dear" Royal mother called and looked at her. Lily raised her head and her eyes locked with Kayden's and the latter froze.
Royal mother almost opened her mouth agape. Lily's eyes! The color of her eyes have changed? She looked at Kayden and realized his own eyes also had changed but not too obvious like Lily's.
