Lily vigorously tried to untie herself. She was so angry with Damian that she felt like strangling him if she could. Damian Cross in company of his partners in crime watched Lily struggle frantically like spectators. Damian Cross chuckled and told her to save her energy until he finished with the piece of information he would tell her.
"I had to tell you everything you needed to know before going to your death. Anna had been my girlfriend since in College. Before you forced yourself on me, she and I have been lovers. But because we needed your money, she put up the pretense and I claimed to be in love with you. And you sheepishly believed me"Damian Cross stated and pulled Anna Brook into a side hug.
Lily couldn't believe her ears. They were lovers before she and Damian started dating each other? No wonder, Anna Brook had never told her who her boyfriend was. Once she asked her and she said at the right time, she was going to know who he is but she might be surprised that day. Anna was right about her warning. She's really surprised knowing that her boyfriend was her own husband.
Her riches was what attracted Damian Cross to her. He wants her money and wants to bask in the euphoria that her wealth can bring. Oh so many years of her ignorance. How could she not have suspected anything all these years?
"I had to keep up the act of pretending to love you. But promised Anna not to go intimate with you. Hence our marriage was never consummated. Lily was struggling harder to free herself. She was going to spat on Damian. If she would die, she wants to die leaving him with the best of what her strength can help her achieve. "Untap her lips and let's hear what the silly girl has to say" Damian's father ordered.
Damian put on a handglove and went to untap her lips at once. Lily wondered if this man was the same Damian's father that seemed to love her so much. She will pay her parents in-law visits every weekend, she loved them like her own parents.
Since her parents were dead, the new parents she has were her in-laws. She would pay all their bills, stuffed their kitchen and refrigerator with all they needed and even added them to her monthly budgets for salary. Is this how she would be paid back for all her kindness to them?
Damian's parents would definitely have known that their son didn't love her. He was only after her for gain. This world is cruel. There's no one to be really trusted. Now Damian's father had accompanied his Son to see him murder her?
She became weak and rather than spat on Damian, she said like a whisper " You will pay for everything you did to me Damian Cross. Even if I die, nature will reward you" she sobs.

I was extremely close to your parents and knew your parent's favorite car. I tampered with the car and that's how their story ended. Their future Son in-law was responsible for their death.
But don't blame me, I had to do it to hasten you taking over the business and the earlier you do, the closer I am to achieving my goal" Damian Cross cheered himself and kissed Anna Brook who was leaning against him.
Anna Brook glared at Lily and felt no sympathy for her friend. How can she have any sympathy for the woman who stood in her way and would not allow her to have a full possession of her boyfriend. She was glad when she fell down and fainted and Damian said she had to die.
She was so happy that she couldn't even eat her lunch. Her Belly was feeling so sweet. That's the best solution if she and Damian are going to live their lives happily. Just die Lily, she was saying within her.
Lily felt completely paralyzed by what Damian said. He was the one who masterminded Father and mother's death? She had introduced him to her parents as her boyfriend and her parents had no problem with it.
Damian was a poor guy but her parents had no concern with his status in the community. They were only concerned about the fact that he loves their daughter. Since she was an only child, they accepted whatever she felt would make her happy.
That's how Damian Cross became a part of the family. He would come around and greet her parents even when she's not with him. Her parents loved him very much. But he practically murdered them. Damian killed her parents!!.
The memory of her parents death came afresh. They didn't die a natural death. They were murdered by the man their daughter introduced as her lover, her boyfriend. They died and their chauffeur was also their escort in death.
She was responsible for her parents death as well. She was the one who brought Damian home. She was the one who integrated him into the Cruz's family. It was she who claimed they loved each other and her parents accepted him
She's the real murderer!! Damian Cross was not the murderer, she was!!. Lily broke down in sobs. She had caused her parents death. How could Damian do this to her parents? He should have just killed her rather than her parents.
Seeing Lily was sobbing uncontrollably, Damian sneered. In this life, sometimes one has to be cruel in order to climb up the ladder of wealth. He had chosen this path and he had gotten to the point of no return.
Still with the gloves, Damian unties Lily and points the gun at her. Lily was walking backwards and Damian was taking steps forward, obviously chasing after her. He can't spare her at this point. She'd known too much already and the only way to shut her up is to silence her for good, forever.
Lily finally got to the edge of the cliff. That's when she knew that she was standing on a plateau. She looked behind and saw that what's behind is dangerous and in front of her was Damian pointing a gun at her. She couldn't turn left nor right. She really understood what it means to be stuck between the rock and a hard place.
"Damian, are you really going to shoot me? Think about how much I loved you. You are going to let me die at your hands?"Lily was saying, afraid to die. No matter how brave one is, when death stares at one in the face, one can't help but shiver and desire to live much longer.
"Don't stall for time Damian. Let's get out of here" Anna urged. Stilling his heart, Damian said a final goodbye:
"See you in the next life, Lily Cruz!!!"

"No!!" Lily screamed out and then there was the sound,

"No..oo..oo!!!" Lily screamed as two bullets sank into her chest. She fell backwards and suddenly her eyes snapped open. She was sweating. Her body seemed weak and her heart was beating very fast. She felt the temperature of the room become extremely high.
Looking around in fear, she was scared. Where is she? How did she get to where she is now?. She tried getting up but felt pain in her body. She ran her fingers across her chest. Damian shot her. Where's the place where the bullets penetrated through her skin.
She couldn't find even a scare. Why is there no scare? She blinked her eyes and then she remembered everything else after Kayden Diego saved her. She looked around the room for the second time and realized she's in the wolf clan.
She and Kayden Diego had encountered Kim Amstel at the underground basement of the Starlight Group. She had discovered Kayden had deceived her. She was married to Kayden and in fact, she's the lordess of the Middleton pack.
She forced herself to sit up. Rather than cry, Lily stilled her heart. She had cried enough. She wasn't going to cry anymore. Crying is a sign of weakness. She was going to be a strong woman henceforth and take her revenge on those who had made her cry in the past.
"Oh mum, dad, I am sorry. I was responsible for your death. But I promise to make sure that Damian Cross and his parents pay for all they did to us" Lily whispered as if she was talking to someone close by.
She struggled and stood up. She went and stood by the window. She was looking into the dark thick forest. If Kayden Diego hadn't rescued her, she would have long been dead and forgotten. Possibly she had been forgotten in Imperial city already.
Kayden Diego saved her, but he also lied to her. He kept her by his side for a reason and wouldn't let her know who her true personality is. She had a special power, an innate ability. She guessed perhaps that's what made Kayden marry her when he discovered it. But he didn't let her know, he left her to be ignorant of her powers. She Will break off her marriage with him and live her life on her own terms. Men are not worth being trusted.
Kayden sensed that Lily was awake. He perceived her presence. He stood up quickly from his study and went towards the bedroom. He doesn't know what awaits him but he had to be by her side anyways.
The door gently opened and Kayden Diego walked in. He saw Lily standing with her back against him. She was looking outside the window. He was happy she's awake and even standing on her feet. He went closer and tried to enveloped her in an embrace from behind, but Lily swiftly moved away from his touch.
"So happy you're awake darling" Kayden chimed. He was smiling and pretended not to note Lily's cool attitude. But Lily said nothing to him but kept looking outside the window. She completely snubbed him.
Kayden Diego came and stood beside her looking outside the window. He knew she was upset with him. She was unhappy with him. He glanced at her and saw her face stoned cold. Kayden perceived something was gone amiss. This facial expressions that Lily was wearing cannot be because of what that brat Kim Amstel said.
"Lily my love, what's the matter? Are you so upset with me or is there something else bothering you?" He waited but Lily neither replied nor spared him a glance.
"Anyways, I am sorry for keeping from you vital information. I am really sorry. I promise to make it up to you" Kayden was coaxing her. He sighed deeply when his wife didn't seem to notice or hear him talk. He doesn't know what to say or do now.
He stood and waited, looking through the window. Unable to concentrate on anything, he came closer to hold Lily's hand. "Come have a seat, we need to talk, my love" Kayden stated. He looked at her expressionlessly.
"I am not interested in having a discussion with you, President Diego"Lily said and removed the strand of hair that fell over her face to the back.
Kayden squinted. President Diego?.
When was the last time Lily referred to him as President Diego? What's the matter? Has she recovered her memory? Or was it the matter of her displeasure with him? "Why are you calling me President Diego? Have I become a stranger all of a sudden?" Kayden inquired.
Lily turned away too sharply and almost fell. The pains in her body were still there. It had greatly reduced, but she was still suffering in pain. She moaned in pain and stumbled. Kayden Diego quickly held her and lifted her princessly trying to go place her on the bed
But Lily was shoving him violently. "Don't you think it's inappropriate to touch someone else's wife?" Lily inquired.
Kayden Diego froze. What did Lily just say? Did she just call herself someone else's wife? She had definitely recovered her lost memory.
His eyes swept with coldness. He placed her on the bed anyway. He towered over her looking at her with a frosty expression. "What did you say Lily?"Kayden Diego inquired. He was looking at her as if he didn't hear what she said earlier.
"Is it appropriate that you touch another man's wife?"Lily inquired. She was obviously angry with him. Her frown and chilling stare was not different from Kayden's. The two adults just glared at each other angrily.
"Are you someone else's wife or my mate?"Kayden inquired. He was wearing casual clothes. His hands in his pants pocket." I am Mrs Damian Cross and not Mrs Kayden Diego"Lily declared.
For the first time, she saw Kayden Diego's eyes turn red. He looked scary, the beast in him was whimpering."You sure you are Someone else's wife huh? A marriage that was never consummated is what you call marriage? I won't say it again, if you dare to say the nonsense to my hearing again, don't blame me if I go ruthless with you" Kayden Diego snapped at her.
"I am not interested in exchanging words with you, get me my son Alvan Diego and let me out of this place"Lily retorted. She was going to take her son and leave the wolf clan.
"Your Son from your damn husband or My Son Alvan Diego?" Kayden Diego asked and bolted out of the door. He was too angry to stay another minute. Lily was daring him. If she wants Damian Cross, her first husband to remain alive, she shouldn't talk about her marriage to him anymore. That man that couldn't even make her a woman.
