Few hours later, it was the lunch hour break. Like everyone else, Harold Aaron went to have his lunch in the cafeteria. His phone ranged and he saw the caller ID was not a familiar one. He answered the call and was told to step out for a parcel.
He felt reluctant and couldn't help being extremely careful because of Damian's threat. All the same he stepped out. He saw two men in suits that seemed to be engrossed in their discussion. He looked around and didn't see anyone that seemed to be paying attention to him.
So weird. Who called him then? As he was about to go away, one of the men, especially the one that turned his back to him said "Mr Harold Aaron. A father of two and with a very beautiful wife. If you want to see your wife and lovely kids again, just go straight to that Maybeach and enter quietly. Don't forget to wear a smiling face"
Harold Aaron was shocked. Who are these men? They're so close and he was looking around for the person who was standing next to him. "What are you still waiting for? If in the next two minutes, you are not in, forget seeing your wife and kids again" the two of them turned and started walking towards the car.
Throwing caution to the air, Harold Aaron strolled with his hands in his pants pocket and opened the car, got in. The car was tinted and no one saw what was happening inside.
They blindfolded him and the car drove off. By the time the blindfold was removed, Harold Aaron had been taken into the hotel and left in an empty room. A hidden camera was placed there and he was left alone.
Harold shook his head. Ah Damian Cross!! He's a gang star and today he had proven it. Over one hour had passed since he told him to unfreeze the company's account. He had decided to opt for this method because he had refused to do his bidding.
All this was happening because boss Lily had suddenly disappeared. Though he has a strong conviction within him that she's still alive. But many months have passed and she hasn't been seen yet. How much longer can he hold on and keep stalling for time?
He expected that someone would come to interrogate, or torture him but no one came. He became restless. Whatever he had to say, he should come forward and say it and stop keeping him locked up.
Kayden, Lily and Justin were watching. They wanted to see what his reactions would be before sliding the door and coming into the room. The only barrier between the room he is and where they are watching from was a sliding door that they covered with a thick curtain.
"Damian Cross!! don't be a coward. Come out and say what you want!!" Harold Aaron yelled. Since he was hiding, he had to invite him to come over for a discussion and give his terms.
Lily frowned. Why is Harold Aaron calling Damian Cross? Did he think the latter had abducted him? She turned to glance at Kayden Diego but he was just focused on the screen before them.
"Listen to me Damian Cross. There's nothing you will ever do to me that would make me unfreeze the company's private account. You are a stupid gold digger, a wanton womanizer. You waste your time keeping me locked up here. My loyalty lies with boss Lily and not you!!.
So please hurry up and kill me but even in the face of death, I will only recognize Lily Cruz as my true boss, not a man like you that shared his body between two friends..."Harold Aaron went on and said horrible words to Damian Cross as he supposedly thought he was the one who abducted him.
Lily's eyes were wide open. She almost couldn't believe what she heard Harold Aaron say. He knows Damian was having an affair with Anna? She knew it, Harold Aaron was to be trusted.
"He's your faithful employee. Let's meet him at once"Kayden declared. The man had said what he wanted to hear. He is really a trusted fellow. He stood up and Lily stood up also.
Lily's eyes were teary. Kayden saw it and cleaned up her tears. He told her she's not going to be miserable anymore. She's at the finishing line.
Harold Aaron suddenly heard the noise of a door opening. He took a few steps backwards and was ready to hear whatever Damian's decision would be. Either to kill him or let him go.
The thick curtain was shoved aside and a tall figure dressed in a latest edition of Nirvana suit walked out. He looked expressionless. His eyes looked beautiful and he was extremely handsome. His very dark hair was well combed, making it look like it's in waves.
He stared at Harold Aaron and the latter felt a compressing aura emitting from him. Harold Aaron squinted. Who is this man, had he seen him before? Was it he that sent men to bring him here?
Kayden Diego saw Harold's scrutinizing stare. He chuckled silently and wondered if he was attractive to men as well. If he was a gay, he would definitely have had a lot of admirers. Anyways, it wasn't his fault that he is so handsome.
Kayden took another step forward and a woman followed him behind. Harold Aaron reluctantly took his eyes away from the handsome man and looked past him to the woman behind:
He froze when he saw her. He blinked several times and pinched himself. He wanted to be sure his wishes had come true. He really was seeing his boss?
Lily saw the shock on his face and stepped out completely from behind Kayden Diego. She didn't say anything, just folded her arms behind her. She looked wronged and seemed very unhappy.
"Boss Lily!!"Harold Aaron screamed out in joy and went to her, hugging her amidst so much excitement. He was not supposed to hug her, but he was too excited and threw caution to the air.
"Let go my woman" Kayden's voice was cold. He won't tolerate it even though he knew Harold Aaron was too excited at seeing Lily Cruz and his happiness had made him hug her out of premonition. But he won't allow it to last beyond a few seconds.
Harold Aaron immediately withdrew and bowed apologetically. He passed a glance at Kayden Diego and at Lily before dismissing the questions popping in his head. He would come to that later but now he was happy seeing his boss again.
"How have you been, Harold Aaron?"Lily asked and smiled faintly. She wasn't feeling like smiling but Harold's happiness needs compensation.
"Have not really been fine, boss Lily"Harold replied and looked her head to toe. She looked splendid. Her skin seemed to be glittering and she looked very happy and comfortable.
They left that room into a small round table conference room. Harold Aaron was just smiling. His excitement was all over him. This was the day he would know everything that happened to her and why she left for months.
Justin was with them making them a company of four."You're really alive boss Lily? Though everyone thought you had died but I never for once believed it" Harold Aaron stated.
Kayden Diego and Justin just sat and allowed Harold Aaron express his happiness. The man was happy and behaving like a child whose parents bought him candy.
"Why didn't you believe like everyone else that I was dead?" Lily asked and stared at the happy face of Harold Aaron.
"How can I believe the concocted lies that you committed suicide because you found that you couldn't get pregnant after two years of marriage. You went to throw yourself off a cliff.
As if that didn't sound fake enough, the reports said they saw claws of wolves below the cliff. So that implies that your remains have been devoured by wolves leaving nothing behind.
I personally marveled how people can be so simple minded to believe such fabrication. How can wolves devour someone so completely without leaving a single bone behind? No toes, no fingers, not a strand of hair, nothing whatsoever. No skull or anything to use in performing an autopsy.
I wondered if wolves have become so perfect that not even a piece of flesh cannot be found. Such wolves must have descended from heaven to be so perfect" Harold Aaron explained.
Kayden and Justin exchange glances. Harold Aaron was right. Wolves can't just finish up their prey Just like that. Those claws found were Kayden's. He unconsciously looked at his fingers. These fingers or rather claws that day saved Lily.
Lily smiled faintly. He was talking about wolves so flippantly not knowing that the people in front of him are wolves, herself inclusive.
"Who said I committed suicide because I couldn't get pregnant" Lily asked. She doesn't want to believe that it would be Damian Cross. "Who else if not that stupid husband..I mean Damian Cross"Harold Aaron replied. He saw this man's face and restructured his statement.
"Damian Cross said I committed suicide because I couldn't get pregnant after two years of marriage?" Lily looked surprised. She passed a glance at Kayden Diego and Justin and back at Harold Aaron.
This Damian Cross is indeed terrible. He never made love to her, how was she supposed to get pregnant? Couldn't he think of something else to use for fabrication?
"Anyways there's work for you to do. But I am married to someone else. And thanks to him, I would have died indeed. Don't ask me how but we're in love and we got married. He's my husband. Feel free, he's a nice guy" Lily introduced and placed her hand on Kayden Diego's.
Harold Aaron bowed slightly and said that makes it even. Damian Cross was married to her best friend Anna Brook. He pledged his allegiance and said he was ready for any work his boss would assign him.
For the first time since Kayden Diego stepped into the room, he said "I want enough evidence to nail down that Damian Cross of a man. That's where you come in".
Harold Aaron's eyes brighten. Looks like his hard work in gathering evidence was going to be useful after all.
"I have enough evidence that can be of help. I would gladly hand them over to you" Harold Aaron replied. He was uncomfortable looking at Kayden's eyes. Rather, he would face Lily when he talked.
"Good. Get them to me as soon as possible" Kayden Diego stated. He saw Harold Aaron was feeling very uncomfortable with him around. But he was not going to leave him and Lily alone. He is a jealous mate and he knows it.
"Boss Lily, please forgive me but I had to do it. All the documents and certificate of ownership to the Cruz cooperation are with me. I hid them away from Damian Cross. I suspected him having a hand in your sudden disappearance and since the day I caught him in the act with Anna Brook, I've never trusted him again"Harold Aaron apologized.
Lily frowned, what did she just hear Harold say? "Come again, did you say you caught Damian Cross and Anna Brook having affairs long before I disappeared?" She inquired.
"Yes boss. I knew they were having affairs. I met them in the very act once in Anna's apartment when you sent me to organize a surprise birthday party for her" Harold replied honestly. He knew his boss was frowning at him.
But what Lily did next surprised him:
