Kayden Diego sat with his legs crossed as he watched his mate. She looked pretty and smart and holding a sword, she looked like a female warrior.
Envy was standing with her sword dug into the ground, waiting for Lily. She was more than happy. She wondered if lord Diego would still keep this damn fool by his side as the lordess when the prisoners feast on her over the night.
Lily heard Kayden call out to her telepathically, she paused but didn't look at his side. "Defense first and at the same time master her methods of attack. Then launch a deadly attack on her unawares".
Lily smiled faintly before taking the few steps to stand before Envy. She doesn't know where her confidence came from, but she felt like a champion already.
For the first time since meeting Envy, she saw her smile. She really smiled at her? Oh she must have started counting her victory already but she's definitely going to count her losses at the end of the day.
The whistle was blown and the fighting officially began: As soon as Lily raised her sword, she didn't know how but felt her sword became very light.
Soon the noise of sword slashing was heard in the air. Envy was launching attacks but Lily was defending, crossing her sword against her every move. Once Envy got an advantage and would have cut her, Lily bent swiftly and the sword passed by her by a breath.
Furious, Envy taunted "Useless lordess who only knows how to defend". "Keep tattling you idiot" Lily retorted and immediately slashed her wrist.
Seeing the blood, Envy became like a maniac. She had underestimated her. She didn't know she's so good at the sword. No wonder she accepted her challenge. She only wanted to raise the sword a few times then bring her down but looks like she was more than capable to contend with her.
Her anger became uncontrollable and she shifted into a wolf. Whether in wolf form or human form, she must defeat this damn human.
Seeing that Envy had turned into a wolf, everyone held their breath. Looks like the contest was not favoring the arrogant girl. Linda jumped up on her feet "lordess Lily!!" She screamed out of anxiety.
She had suddenly become a friend to Lily and seeing that Envy wants to use an advantage against her, she felt a cold shiver run through her spine.
"Relax Linda. Our lordess would put this arrogant sharp tongued idiot where she truly belongs. Have no fear, only believe in the lordess" Justin calmed her. He was sitting next to Kayden and Linda was beside him.
Kayden Diego heard Linda's scream and Justin's words. He was pleased with the latter's statement. He drank from his glass and kept his eyes on the two women contesting before him.
If Lily could still stall this long, he already believed that she would earn the new title of the best female warrior. But why couldn't Lily shift into a wolf form? Some don't have the ability?
Seeing she was now fighting with the wolf form of Envy, she saw her red eyes staring at her in wrath and ready to bounce on her any moment.
She threw her sword aside in astonishment of all the spectators. She found herself taking the position of someone fighting a karat. Envy saw her and ran to her swiftly. To the amazement of all, she gave a deadly kick to the wolf on its neck and it went somersaulting.
Unable to endure, she shifted into the human form and spat out blood. She was also bleeding from the side of her lips. The flesh on her neck had turned red, obviously hurting.
They both took their swords again and within a few minutes, Lily avoided Envy's blow with a defense again and swiftly kicked her belly. Envy was not watching and never expected that kick. It was too fast and before she knew what, she found herself on the ground and Lily stood over her with her sword pointed at her throat:
