Kayden Diego had returned a few hours later and told Lily they were leaving. Justin and the pilot were the only people with them. Kayden Diego told Lily to relax, when they arrived, he would wake her up. That way, Lily closed her eyes, snuggling into Kayden's chest.
Kayden smiled at the way Lily snuggled and uttered the word "childish" like a whisper to her ears. Lily smiled and said nothing. She wants to force herself to sleep so that when she wakes up again, she would have been in imperial city.
She hadn't really mapped out how she's going to execute her plans but she trusted that Kayden would handle that for her. Soon she slept off. Kayden wondered if this was how far he traveled that day in his beast form.
One can't underestimate the extent wolves traveled when on a full moon. But thank goodness, that far distance rampage had led him to meet Lily. He couldn't imagine his life and his future without her. On the other hand, he was somewhat grateful to Damian for leaving an intact woman for him.
When they arrived, it was already dark. Kayden planned it that way so that no one would see and recognize her as Lily Cruz. He wasn't going to allow her to show herself except when she chose to and was ready to send that bastard to jail together with his conspirators.
Contrary to what he promised, Kayden didn't wake Lily up but rather carried her princessly into the hotel room they had rented. The entire Hotel was rented and as long as they stay, they're not sharing the environs with anyone else.
The bodyguards had already taken positions and were just waiting to be assigned. Justin has gotten every data necessary and waits for the lordess to wake up so they can deliberate their approach.
Lily ended up sleeping the whole night and woke up at dawn. She was surprised when she opened her eyes and saw that they were no longer in the private jet. She yawned and stretched herself.
Kayden didn't wake her up as he promised. He must have thought she was tired and chose not to bother her. She looked around, this definitely was a hotel room. But which hotel to be precise?
There isn't any five star hotel in imperial city that she didn't know. She stood up and went to see through the window. But was shocked when she saw the building in the close distance.
The twenty five story building is owned by Cruz's cooperation!!. Lily felt excited. Kayden Diego must have calculated it well. He wanted them to stay in a place where they can see what's happening in the distance. She is really pleased with him for all he's doing for her.
She owns him too much already. How will she be able to repay him?
Took her bath quickly and picked a dress from the suitcase. She dressed cute and dialed Kayden's cell phone number.
It was immediately connected as soon as it started ringing." Hello darling, you are awake already" It was a statement and not a question. Lily told him to meet her in the room. Kayden said ok and hung up.
Lily didn't want to step out except on Kayden Diego's instructions and guidance. No one must know that she was Lily Cruz yet. Kayden came in and saw her beautifully dressed. Her lips had a touch of red lipstick and wore a red and white styled satin dress.
Kayden sat beside her on the exquisite cushion and stared at her face. "Be calm, I want to taste your lipstick" he said and placed his lips on hers before Lily could ask him if lipstick was meant to be tasted. He started kissing her gently and then fiercely. It took Lily all her strength to push him off. She couldn't breathe well anymore.
"Huh..a real way to taste lipstick!" Lily commented seeing the red lipstick stained on his lips.
"Yeah, the best way to taste it" Kayden joked and they both started laughing. Producing her handkerchief, she cleaned the red lipstick from his lips.
"I was wondering if you have any plans for the first approach?" Lily asked. She had no premeditated idea of how they should begin. Kayden stayed relaxed and said " We have to know what's going on first. What has been said about your assumed death, what proof and how acceptable was the news of your death".
"Perfect sweetheart. I've always known my hubby is a genius" Lily complimented. Kayden just smiled and said she was his heroine instead. "Is there anyone who can give us the answers we need besides the media. Do you have a trusted person?" Kayden asked.
Lily was thinking: who is worthy? That word 'trust' had suddenly lost its meaning to her after she discovered Anna Brook and Damian's betrayal. After a few seconds, her eyes brighten up. There's someone who she believe will remain faithful to her:
"Harold Aaron!!" He could be more reliable than anyone else. "My assistant. He's more reliable and knows the in's and outs of the Cruz cooperation" Lily said. "Tell me a little about him?" Kayden asked.
"Harold Aaron worked with my dad for years. After Damian killed my parents, I took over the company and retained Harold Aaron to be my assistant. He was faithful while being by my father's side and so he was to me too" Lily explained briefly.
Kayden was pleased with Lily's analysis. That Harold Aaron might be just who they needed right at that moment. "He will be with us soon," Kayden declared and stood up. He had to inform Justin to pass a message to the bodyguards and assign them their first job.
"Do you need his contacts?" Lily asked. At least with his contacts, it would be easier to track him down. Shaking his head, Kayden replied "There's no need" and went out of the door.
In the Cruz cooperation, Damian was furiously stamping his feet on the floor. Harold Aaron had dared to trespass and frozen the company's private account? He wanted to transfer funds from the account to his and was denied access.
On further investigation, he realized that Harold Aaron actually froze the account and denied anyone access except Lily herself. He was the husband of the late Lily but was told to bring the certificate of ownership with him to prove his claim. But alas, he hadn't found it and doesn't know where it is.
He had turned every expected place upside down just to find it but all his efforts ended in futility. But what Harold Aaron had done or rather what he discovered he's done was too much for him to spare. He would have him arrested by his thugs and tortured.
He must cough out those documents he's been looking for. He might actually be the one in possession of them. How dare he? Impudence!!.
The door opened and Harold Aaron walked in. He looked as if he didn't know why he was called. His innocent look was really deceptive. He stood and asked "You called me Mr Damian Cross"
Turning, his eyes were red and one could easily mistake it for coals of fire! "How dare you, Harold Aaron, who authorized you to freeze the company's private account? Who authorizes you? Speak?" Damian Cross thundered.
Harold Aaron just stood and glared at the furious man. He must have been really disappointed. Idiot, having spent the money in the company's general transaction account, he had proceeded to the private one and was obviously denied access.
This look and anger was fueled by disappointment. He liked this look of ugliness in him. If only he knew how ugly he looked in his present state, perhaps he would have tried reducing the contractions he made his facial skin to be suffering from.
"How do you mean who authorized me to freeze the company's private account? When Lily's parents died, I did the same. It was after Lily became the President that she unfroze it. What is wrong if I did the same this time?
And besides, what do you need the company's private account for?" Harold Aaron asked with a serious expression. He wants to hear what the idiot was going to say.
"Do I need to inform you before taking any decisions whatsoever? I am the President of this company and can do whatever I like and whenever I want" Damian Cross defended his stupidity. He hissed and gave him a deadly stare.
"Ok. Since you are the President and can do whatever and whenever, you will return to the bank and tell them whatever and whenever" Harold Aaron replied and bit down his lower lips trying hard to keep himself from laughing out loud.
He thought the company was an object that he can do whenever, whatever with its resources. The company's private account was kept as the last resort and in the face of challenges and emergencies. And he's saying he can do whenever, whatever with it. Stupid thing.
Damian Cross was so angry and almost puke out blood. His complexion went from green and back to red. Harold Aaron was proven too stubborn for him to subdue. He would have just finished him up. But that would raise suspicion towards him. He would let him play a bit and suddenly strike him down.
"I am giving you an hour to unfroze that account otherwise.." Damian Cross trailed off when Harold Aaron raised his voice in contempt. "Otherwise what? Huh.. what will you do?" Harold questioned.
Without waiting another minute, Harold Aaron strolled out . "Don't you dare Walk out on me" Damian Cross ordered.
"Stop me, if you can," Harold Aaron challenged and shut the door violently.
