"You saw her left and didn't inform the securities nor any of the bodyguards? If anything happens to Lily, I'll have your blood and that of your entire family flowing!!" Kayden Diego threatened.
"Ah..ha please President Diego! Please spare me"the old man fell on his knees. Cold shiver ran through the spine of all the people present. They all were in great danger if anything happened to the young Miss.
Without a glance, he walked briskly out of their sight into the mansion. As Soon as he walked in, he scanned the room quickly and saw Ms Gracey at the corner with puffy eyes. Justin followed him to give him the latest findings when he saw him staring at his aunt angrily.
"Don't think because you are my mum's sister you can defy my orders and go against my instructions. Didn't I tell you to make her comfortable and keep her company?" Kayden asked furiously.
"I did Kayden. I followed all your instructions and you can ask her if ever I made her uncomfortable" Ms Gracey defended herself. She knows Kayden Diego can do whatever he likes to her if he gets upset. He's the alpha and everyone is expected to bow to him except his parents.
"You did Ms Gracey and she slipped out of the mansion under your watchfulness and you said you obeyed my orders?" Kayden inquired mockingly.
"It wasn't my fault Kayden," Ms Gracey intoned. He shouldn't just put the blame on her. He was partly responsible for what happened.
"It wasn't your fault that you failed in a simple assignment I assigned you? Then you tell me, whose fault was it? Mine, for entrusting something so minute to you?"
"It was partly your fault Kayden Diego! You used harsh words on her and even shoved her out of the way. If you hadn't said unpleasant words to her, perhaps she wouldn't have gone Missing" Ms Gracey finally brought herself to speak boldly to him.
Kayden Diego squinted. Is it true? Was he the reason why she left? His utterances to her in the morning of the previous day had resulted in her leaving the mansion? Was Ms Gracey right?
Justin was surprised that his boss said unpleasant words to Lily. He had carried her home drunk from the party the night before and treated her like someone special. Only for him to say horrible words to her the next morning.
He didn't have to know the exact words he said because he had witnessed his boss unkind utterances to the female species.
"If you feel what I said to her made her leave, Where were you when she left that you didn't Know she was leaving home?" Kayden Diego asked another question.
Seeing Ms Gracey was lost for words, he added "if Lily does not return, you'll suffer the same fate like the others!!?" Kayden Diego yelled at her and strode towards the stairs.
Ms Gracey was frozen at her nephew's words. He was going to punish her like the others? That's too scary to imagine.
In Larry Jones' house. Lily didn't have her medicine so she couldn't sleep. She tossed from one end of the bed to another. Her mind was filled with the image of Kayden Diego.
Why was she even angry and left his mansion? The man had really helped her. Why was she so angry with him that she even left without informing Ms Gracey?
What if Larry Jones handed her over to those who want her dead? Does she even know maybe the people closest to her were the ones after her death?
What was he feeling now? Is he upset with her for leaving contrary to his instruction? She should know better than anyone else not to hurt him.
She was restless, she felt she hadn't seen Kayden Diego in months. Larry Jones had brought her to his house when she told him she was a wanderer. She couldn't bring herself to tell him about Kayden Diego nor how he saved her.
She was glad when he asked her if she would follow him to his place. But as soon as she got here, she regretted her actions. A known devil is better than a pretentious angel. She'd stayed with Kayden Diego and knew a bit about his temperament . But this fellow Larry Jones doesn't know a thing about him even as he claimed to her that they were friends.
When Lily finally drifted off to sleep, she was soon awaked with a start. She was sweating and her heart was beating very fast.
She had another nightmare, but..
Why couldn't she remember the dream? She was sure, it's very strange but couldn't recall a thing about it. Gush!! What kind of unfortunate occurrence was this that she's experiencing?
First she lost her memory and only believed what Kayden Diego told her about being shot. She had insomnia and now nightmares? And the worst is that she can't remember the dream she had. Will she ever be able to come out of this kind of mysterious life?
She cried and felt an emptiness within her. Why is she experiencing mystery upon puzzlement? Why can't things be plain and visible to her?
She was crying and Kayden Diego who had been awake all night felt she was crying. That made him tensed up the more. Lily was crying!! What had happened to her? Is she in some kind of danger?
Springing to his feet, he made up his mind to go and find her. He was going on a rescue mission and would trace her through her scent.
He shifted from his human form into the wolf form and leaped out of the window. Running as fast as he could, he traced her for several kilometers until he felt her scent was getting closer and nearer to him.
Until he got to a penthouse. He perceived her scent strongly and knew this was where he had to stop. Climbing the walls was as easy as eating cheese. He climbed and smelled every window until he stopped at the one with the greatest scent pulling.
But her window was locked. How was he going to get in? He called out to her telepathically and told her to come to the window.
Lily, who lay on her bed with tears and confused with her present state, heard her name by the window and immediately sat up. She looked and saw a wolf by the window.
Without thinking twice she followed her mind and stood up, walking toward the window and opened it. As soon as she opened it, a giant wolf leaped in.
It stood a few meters from her and she was a little scared. But she heard another instruction from her mind: "don't scream".
She looked at the wolf and saw how beautiful it was. It's a giant wolf with a full and very dark fur. Its eyes were black as if it was frowning at her. Its fur was shiny as if it was polished. She became quiet and calm. Why was she having a feeling of familiarity with this wolf?
As she stared at its eyes she recognized it at once "Kayden Diego!" She blurted out in a whisper. The fur on its body that was aroused then relaxed. She smiled at the sight of the relaxed fur.
She's right, he is the one. He came to find her. Without waiting another minute, she heard another instruction "Climb onto my back and hold firm".
She looked around the room and didn't find anything of hers. The clothes on her were the ones she wore from Kayden's mansion. She bathed that night but couldn't find a night ware to change into. Unable to sleep naked, she wore her dress again before lying on the bed.
She gently climbed into his back and held him by his front claws. She heard another question: "ready?Hold firm". She answered in a whisper "I am ready Lord Kayden".
She actually called him Lord willingly. She was sure he's the one. She can't be mistaken. It's his eyes and she readily recognized him.
The wolf climbed out of the window and Lily gently closed it with her other hand before holding him firm again. That way he reached down the walls and started racing to their destination.
Lily had never felt this happy since she met Kayden Diego. He was racing faster than a horse and her hair was sent flying in the air. It was a cold night but also a quiet one. It seemed as if the road belonged to them alone.
Rather than sit, Lily laid on the wolf as it sped along. They soon got close to their destination. Lily felt she would catch a cold but didn't mind. She was having a great time and can't express how happy she was.
Meanwhile, Justin had come to report to Kayden that the surveillance camera showed that Lily was walking on the street and a car stopped in front of her. To give him an update about what they had discovered but couldn't find him in his study.
He went into his room but he wasn't there. He called out to him to know if perhaps he was in the bathroom room but no response. He went to Ms Gracey and asked her if she knew where he went to but the latter told him that he didn't go anywhere. He was in his study.
Together they checked his study to see if his window was open. And it was. They exchange glances at each other. One thing was certain, he had shifted into the wolf form and gone to search for her himself.
Without another word, Ms Gracey went into Lily's room and opened her window. Kayden wouldn't return without Lily. That, she was sure. She had to leave the window open so that he could easily slip in when he arrived.
Unable to wait quietly, Justin asked a question " Ms Gracey, I was thinking you would be able to answer this question". "What question?" Ms Gracey asked.
"Do you think Lily is Lord Kayden's mate?"
