Kayden Diego lifted her up, and took her to the bathroom and practically bathed her. She slept peacefully that night and when she woke up the next morning, Kayden was not in the room. She took her bath, dressed up and applied a little make-up.
When she got downstairs, she saw Kayden dressed in a suit and was making a call from the dinning. He was talking to someone and seemed to be instructing the person.
Lily went to him and ran her hand over his styled hair before taking a seat. She waited for him to finish. Soon Kayden Diego dropped his phone and smiled"Good morning darling".
Lily smiled back and asked if he slept well. Lily picked dishes for Kayden and herself. They both ate and were almost done when Justin arrived. He exchanged pleasantries with the couple and sat down, picking dishes for himself.
He's become like a family and doesn't wait to be invited before joining in breakfast. They three ate silently except for the usual exchange of glances between Kayden and Lily. It has become a behavior of Kayden to always look at his wife when they're eating. He won't talk, but he will stare.
Justin finished his meal and waited. When the couples finished as well, Kayden asked how far he had gone on his instructions. Chaoxiang said as they speak, twenty bodyguards have gone ahead already to imperial city.
Lily was impressed. Kayden was already putting things in order for her safety? "Darling,we leave for the imperial city later today. So take your time and arrange your things and I'll come pick you up after attending to a few things in the company"Kayden outlined.
Justin was going to get the private jet ready. After leaving her with a lot of instructions, he left for the company with Justin. Lily was very excited. The thoughts of her appearing before Damian Cross was making her belly sweet.
How will he react? How will he feel when he sees her alive and back for real? She stuffed a few things into a suitcase and got ready for Kayden's arrival.
Imperial city, Damian Cross and Anna had gone public with their Damian Cross claiming that Anna was his late wife's friend. She bears a lot semblance to his darling wife and often he sees Lily in her.

In all the various comments, Damian Cross didn't give a damn. What he wanted primarily when he posted the news of his relationship with Anna Brook was to create awareness that they were both married now. Any tongue lashing person wouldn't have a scandal to spread when they are seen together.

Harold Aaron was like an antagonist to Damian Cross. He couldn't fire him like he did the other employees. Often they get into loggerheads with each other and Damian always ends up in compromise. He detest this man Harold Aaron. He was going to deal with him soon and make him feel his wrath.
Whoever tries or makes himself a stumbling block on his path to achieving his aim, he would, as he's always done, clear him off his path. If Harold He doesn't behave himself in a proper manner, he would pay him a death visit soon.
When Anna Brook read the various comments on her blog, she replied saying she was doing it for her best friend. Lily loves Damian Cross very much and her death almost led her dear husband Damian to his end. On Several occasions,he had attempted committing suicide. She has then been paying close attention to him.
Lily wouldn't want anything to happen to Damian even in her death. Seeing that Damian needed a companion to stand by him and help him return back to who he had always been. She had to accept his proposal amidst pleas and coaxing from his parents..
That's the least she can do for her dear friend Lily. When her statement went public, many applauded her. Only good friends stay good to their bestie even after death. Anna Brook didn't consider her own reputation and desire but gave everything up to remain true to Lily.
When Harold Aaron read her statement, he sneered. Stupid people who think everyone is as stupid as they are. He would expose them very soon when he feels the time is ripe. He only wishes that one day, boss Lily would appear and all these stupid gold diggers would shut their mouths.
Harold Aaron gathered all the findings of his investigation together, and waited, he was waiting for the day to bring it into limelight. He wondered how everyone who now applauded them would feel.
Later in the day, there was a fight between Anna Brook and Damian Cross' mother. When she saw that things had changed between her Son and herself, she frowned and knew that Anna Brook was behind the act. She no longer has the family purse and couldn't dictate what and what not to be done in the house anymore.
Seeing the news about her Son and Anna Brook, Damian's mother felt infuriated. Her place has been completely taken over by this silly girl her son had married. She would do something to hurt her,she thought.
On the day Damian made his relationship with Anna go public, the former returned home and saw his mother's lower jaw swollen red. He narrowed his brow and wanted to ask when his mother started yelling "Damian that girl is crazy, she's a maniac".
Girl? Which girl was his mother talking about? He looked confused and asked his mother what happened to her. Why is her jaw swollen red? Had his mother fallen or had someone hit her? No, it has to be the former. No one is irresponsible enough to hit an elder like this.
"Who else could have made my jaw swollen red if not that stupid girl you married. She hit me and almost killed me. You have to divorce that woman or I will disown you as my son" Damian's mother explained and at the same time threatened.
Anna has done this to his mother? How could she have been so disrespectful towards his mother? She dares to hit his mother, he would teach her a hard lesson. He dashed into the bedroom and met Anna standing before the mirror.
"Anna Brook! How dare you hit my mother so hard? What is coming over you?"Damian thundered. His eyes were almost popping out red. He looked aggressive as if he was capable of swallowing Anna whole.
"Would you have preferred that your mother killed me before you arrived? Look here Damian, I am not so naive as Lily. If you and your parents take one step towards hurting me, I would take three to destroy you!!" Anna Brook snapped at him.
His mother started a fight and almost killed her with the hidden dagger she hid in her sleeve. The only way she could defend herself was to give a vicious kick. That kick sent the old woman tumbling backwards and she seized the opportunity to stand on her feet and formed a fist to attack if the woman tried coming to her again.
Obviously that kick that sent her falling left a swollen part in her body. She doesn't know where her foot hits her, but knew she would definitely feel pain for days. But she made a mistake, when she fell and the dagger dropped,she was supposed to get it as evidence to show Damian.
"You hit mother and you're still talking nonsense?"Damian was yelling. The veins on his neck were popping out. He loves her but that doesn't mean he would tolerate his mother being insulted or maltreated before his eyes and right under his roof.
"I am not talking nonsense Damian. Your mother was the first one to attack me. She wanted to stab me with a dagger and I had to defend myself. If someone tripped and stood over me with a dagger, what would you want me to have done?Stay still and allow myself to be stabbed to death?" Anna asked.
She was glaring angrily at Damian. The latter became speechless. His mother started the fight first? His tensed up body and angry disposition became a little softened. He looked away and didn't answer Anna's question.
Just that day, he had made their relationship go public only for him to return home and meet a fight. These two women are becoming enemies to each other on a daily basis. Gush, he's so confused. He had been trying to be neutral and sit on the fence but it's becoming too difficult to sit on the fence anymore.
He would call his mother and coax her to love Anna. She had become her daughter in-law and she had to live with that reality. He would talk things with Anna as well. She can't keep being at loggerheads with her mother in law as well.
"You'll have to make a choice between your mother and I. Your life can't revolve around two women at the same time. You need to make your mother understand that you are married and your loyalty and preference lies with your wife. I won't tolerate this nonsense anymore otherwise your mother would leave. After all this is my matrimonial home" Anna declared.
When they went downstairs for dinner, Damian asked his mother if she truly tried attacking Anna with a dagger. Rather than giving a simple answer, the woman sat on the floor and started sobbing.
"Damian, have you forgotten that I gave birth to you? You want to believe what this mistake of a wife told you? I want to die! I don't want to live anymore"
Anna Brook was speechless. This old woman is an actress. She really is good at acting. She lied and put up a display of being grieved? She never knew this woman could condescend so low to behave this way.
Damian felt as if he would have a headache. He only asked his mother a simple question and the act she put before him had left him speechless. He couldn't pursue the matter further and only told his mother she should get up, he was not going to ask her the question anymore.
In Z-country, Kayden Diego and Lily had already boarded a flight and were on their way to imperial city.
