Justin sprang up with a scream. Past noon? They were supposed to take a flight to Singapore, himself and boss Kayden by 8:00am. Gush!! No wonder his boss called him, he's never called him to keep up a meeting or appointment.
"Is everything alright?" Linda asked. And immediately she asked, she regretted asking. How can everything be alright with the sudden reaction of Justin. Something had definitely gone wrong.
Justin picked his car keys, his cellphone and dashed towards the door. As his hand was on the door knob, he turned back and gave a hurried explanation:
"Boss Kayden and I are supposed to travel to Singapore by 8:00am. Will call you later" and went out shutting the door behind.
Linda who hurriedly followed Justin out of the door stood and watched him drive off in haste. She sighed, she's afraid Justin would have missed the flight with President Diego. He might have left already and will definitely be unhappy with Justin.
Justin drove at a very high speed of 180 km/h and completely ignored the police blaring behind. He soon arrived at the Starlight Group and the police caught up with him. His license was seized and he was told to come with them to the station.
Justin was almost puking out blood. He was angry, if only these policemen knew how anxious he was, perhaps they would have let him go already.
He refused to follow them to the station, giving the excuse that there's an emergency that needed his immediate attention. He told them he was President Diego's assistant and needed to be with him immediately if they would let him go.
At the mention of the name Diego, the police became lenient. They warned him but let him go and returned his license to him. When Justin got into the office, he didn't meet his boss. He knew he must have gone, leaving him behind.
He tried reaching him on his cellphone, but as expected of someone traveling by air, his cell phone was switched off.
Feeling dejected, he called Ms Gracey and the latter told him that Kayden Diego left early that morning. Justin had no option left than to book the next flight to Singapore.
When Ms Gracey ended her call with Justin. She was confused: didn't Kayden Diego travel with Justin? Why was Justin asking her about his whereabouts?
She had never seen Kayden Diego this angry like he was that morning. She didn't know what his argument with Lily was but she only heard the last few sentences that Kayden Diego uttered before walking out giving her a terrible shove.
Lily's face was completely flushed red for anger. She was very furious and stared at the retreating back view of Kayden Diego with a gaze capable of freezing someone. The duo had a heated argument that she didn't know who to pacify.
Just the previous night, Kayden Diego brought her home princessly and this morning he was angry with her. She doesn't understand the temperament of this nephew of her's surname Diego.
When she saw the way Kayden Diego stormed out of the mansion without even having breakfast, she was scared and stood by the sidelines and watched him leave.
Lily angrily went into her room and shut the door. She didn't open the door to her despite her pleadings to her to open the door and let her in. Without breakfast, Lily was still in the room. She was left confused. Lily shut herself in and Kayden Diego had traveled.
Lily, on the other hand, was throwing a tantrum. Who the hell was he to have belittled her like that? What the hell was fucking wrong with what she said? He saved her so what?
Is she in any way inferior to him? Why would he talk to her like she's a beggar or treat her like a lunatic with his grevious utterances? What issues does he have with the female folks that he was told she was the cause. Since he said it, then she will leave his mansion for good. She may not know what lies ahead for her but she's ready to venture into the unknown and the uncertain future. She'll take a leap of faith.

The young man wore a sunshade and was welcomed by his chauffeur who led the way to the car. He got in and the car was driven out of the airport.
Lily walked out of Kayden Diego's mansion unnoticed. The butler saw her and wanted to ask her why she's not with the car but she told him that she was not going far, only taking a stroll.
The butler had only met her twice and knew she's a resident of the mansion. Hence he believed her simply and let her go.
She would find something to do, Lily thought. She will go to any supermarket or company and ask if they would need her services.
She needed two things urgently, a job and a roof over her head. She can't remain like a prisoner to Kayden Diego, that fellow that despises women. She's a woman but that doesn't make her inferior to him.
She had walked a good distance already and was already feeling exhausted. That was when she remembered that she didn't even have her breakfast nor had taken anything since she woke up.
After Kayden Diego humiliated her, she completely lost appetite and shut herself in the room. She only came out and sneaked out of the house without letting Ms Gracey know.
Her stomach churned but she had no money on her. She prayed she found a good Samaritan who would come to her aid. She was sweating now but kept walking. She saw a cosmetic shop across the road and thought she should go and inquire if they needed an extra employee.
She stood by the road side and waited for the oncoming Rolls Rover to pass so that she could cross the road.
Reading a newspaper but suddenly felt an intuition to look up, Larry Jones caught sight of a face that really looked familiar but who is expected to be dead. The car almost passed her when he shouted "hault, stop the car!!!"
The chauffeur stepped on the break and gradually brought the car to a halt. Larry Jones quickly pushed the door open and stepped out with his heart beating very fast.
Lily took a step to cross the road when she heard someone called her name. She paused and looked at the man who was walking towards her with a puzzled look on his face. But she doesn't seem to have met him before.
Larry Jones walked up to her, and she stood staring at him with an unfamiliar gaze. He was just returning from imperial city where the news of Lily Cruz's death was just subsiding.
Lily, who was reported to be dead in Imperial city, was standing right before him in Z-country. What is happening? The worst is that she's looking at him strangely as if he was a total stranger to her.
Larry Jones looked at her from her head to her toes and was very sure this was his college classmate Lily. "Lily, how are you doing?" Larry Jones asked and just stared at her.
"I am fine"Lily replied in a single sentence and waited to see or hear this fellow introduce himself.
Larry Jones narrowed his brow. The ever cheerful and vibrant Lily was staring at him like a total stranger. "You don't recognize me anymore?"he asked.
"I don't. Who are you please?" Lily inquired. She had to be careful, she can't tell who those people are who wanted her dead nor can she recognise them.
No wonder Larry Jones thought. She was staring at him strangely. They were friends and classmates in the College. In fact, childhood friends and he once had a crush on her. Lily failed to see through his eyes that he loved her until she got entangled with that poor guy Damian Cross.
"You don't recognize me Larry Jones? Your friend back at College?" Larry Jones asked in surprise. What had happened to this beautiful princess of the Cruz family?
Lily's eyes brighten in hope. Someone that had known her finally appeared. He said they were friends at college? She doesn't even know that she went to college.
"I am sorry, I lost my memory and can't remember anyone or anything about my past" Lily confessed. She could perceive the disappointment in his tone when he told her they were friends in college.
Larry Jones squinted "Oh..that can only be the reason" He looked at her, she's still as beautiful as ever. But what was she doing here in Z-country? She was said to have committed suicide back in imperial city.
He wants to find out what happened and how she ended up there in Z-country and what led to her loss of memory. What should he do now, take her home or take her to a police station?
" If you Wouldn't mind, let's go for lunch after which we catch up on old times" Larry Jones requested. Lily felt reluctant to go with him but still she needed to meet someone like this Larry Jones guy who knew her and could help her regain her memory and possibly locate her family.
Larry Jones saw the hesitation in her eyes and knew she was probably afraid to go with him or perhaps she didn't even believe him when he said they were friends from college.
