Kayden Diego told Lily to remain in the car. But the latter would not agree. She's afraid of seeing Kayden hurt. She can't explain but perceived the presence of a being in the basement. She and Kayden stepped out and stood, looking around.
Seeing Lily was out, he allowed her to stay out if she so chooses. But pulled her behind him. " Henceforth, you can only communicate with me telepathically. We are surrounded here" Kayden instructed.
And as a proof, she responded Yes through telepathy. Kayden closed his eyes and smelled the presence of vampires. He knew it, they would come find him or Lily. After sending that Vampire spy away with a message, he had been looking forward to their visit.
"Show yourself, son of Amstel!" Kayden ordered. He knew Kim and his father Zero Amstel were after him especially because of Lily. They wanted her to be a member of the vampire world but like always, they lost to him. Kim Amstel must have come to fight him for that.
There seemed to be shadows and those shadows turned into beings. Kim was the last to be visible. He also appeared and looked dangerous to behold. His eyes were red looking scary and he wore a jumpsuit. "I must say you are very accurate in your guesses," Kim Amstel mocked.
Kayden looked at him , sizing him up and down irritatingly. How can he not be sure that the one who comes like a shadow was the little prince Kim. "What does the little prince Kim want?" Kayden asked, wearing a grin.
Kim was annoyed. How dare he refer to him as 'little'? Was he in any way older than him? He was only fortunate to be a lord so soon in his life. He looked past Kayden and saw the woman behind. "Have you turned her into your tail?"Kim asked, stretching his neck as if he couldn't see Lily without doing it.
"You would have been so happy if she was your tail instead, right? Unfortunately, damn fucking things like you weren't destined to have a beautiful tail like her" Kayden mocked him.
"Don't be too confident Alpha Kayden because today, I will make her to be mine" Kim Declared.
"Dare me?" Kayden Diego challenged. "Yeah,of course. If you think yourself strong enough to contend with me, and keep her as yours, let go of her and engage me in a fight" Kim requested. He had already given his servants instructions that he would trap Kayden in a fight and they capture Lily. As soon as Lily had been taken, he would vanish out of sight the same way he came.
"You are luring him. You have your men surround us. You gave them a signal to abduct me while you engaged my husband in a fight. I see through your scheme!!" Lily thundered.
Kayden squinted. So they had really come to abduct Lily. Fine, rather than engage in fighting with Kim Amstel, he would rather protect her from being abducted.
Kim Amstel narrowed his brow. So it's really true, she can read someone's mind? "I admit that you are right. But why are you protecting someone who lied to you? He's been deceiving you without your knowledge" Kim Amstel voiced out.
"Just shut up Kim Amstel. Don't let my beast get loose on you" Kayden warned. He didn't want him to say anything more otherwise Lily would know he was saying the truth. That's a disadvantage to him on her ability to see through one's mind content. Only his own mind that Lily will never be able to read.
"Hahahaha, are you afraid I will let her know you were lying to her?" Turning to Lily he continued "Why did he suddenly marry you? He doesn't like women last that I know of. He claimed to love you and married you in days. The reason is because he wants to own you and wields the power in you. He only wants to mate with you and possess your power, making him the most powerful Lycan king" Kim Amstel declared.
"Shut up, I will not say it the third time" Turning to Lily, "Don't listen to him, my love" Kayden persuaded. But Lily saw it as well. She turned to Kayden "Why shouldn't I listen to him, he's saying the truth. You've truly been lying to me Kayden Diego? Lily became furious. Kayden was lying to her. He had been deceiving her?
She's a powerful woman and Kayden mated with her to possess her powers and subdue her? "I owe you an explanation, and I will surely let you know everything you need to know" Kayden was now persuading her. He placed his hand on her shoulder but Lily shoved his hand away.
"You've been sleeping with me for months and didn't realize you need to explain anything to me? You kept so many secrets from me? If Kim hadn't forced the truth out, you would have let me remain in the dark forever?. I thought you loved me like you claim, but you were only by my side for a gain? I even bore you a Son and still you treated me as an object of gain?"
Lily was already sobbing. She seemed to have a similar feeling to something she had experienced in the past. There was a feeling of betrayal surging up within her. She couldn't control her tears.
Kayden Diego was left speechless. He couldn't refute her words but she couldn't read his own mind. If she could, she would have seen that he loves her despite not opening up to her about her personality.
Kim Amstel chuckled and "Do you still call yourself a true alpha? You couldn't even be sincere to the woman who shared your bed. How then can you be trusted in your dealing with other clan members of yours?" He was deliberately teasing Kayden Diego.
Kayden felt the beast in him whimpering. Lily was feeling really hurt, her tears were like a dagger poking him. He became furious and suddenly advanced steps towards Kim, soon the two men were already engaging each other in a fight. Kayden totally left Lily, none of Kim's men were a match for her.
Kim's men rushed forward to abduct Lily but they were met with the shock of their life. Lily started emitting light, gradually the light suddenly became bright like the sunlight. All Kim's men were getting burned, they started retreating backwards.
Kim seeing that his men had failed and Kayden was almost finishing him up, he decided to turn into his vampire form. But Kayden shapeshifted into a giant wolf as well. He bounced on Kim and dug his fangs into his chest. It was a terrible poisonous bite.
The few servants, seeing that Kim their master had almost been killed, decided to use the last resort. Bringing out their guns, they all aimed at Kayden. But Lily would not let anything happen to him.
She dashed swiftly in front of Kayden..
And many silver bullets perforated her skin. The men all fell down and immediately, Kayden Diego shapeshifted again and completely forgot about Kim. Lily had been shot and had fallen to the ground.
Kayden knew that was a bad sign. Lily was in danger. She had been terribly injured. Kim Amstel used the last bit of strength left in him to try to escape. But it was too late for him. He had hardly stood up on his feet when he fell down painfully.
It wasn't just any kind of Wolf that bit him, it was a Lycan. The most powerful Lycan king. Kayden lifted Lily into the car and drove off completely trampling over the dead Vampires.
Kayden Diego telepathically summoned Justin and told him to clear off the filth in the basement before any of the staff comes around. And secondly, take care of the surveillance camera in the basement as well. The entire staff must not have a hint of what transpired down there.
Lily was bleeding. Silver bullets were the deadliest of the weapons against wolves. There were a lot of bullets shot into her already. Lily was in great danger. Will she be able to survive it? Does the power of immortality also work for her? He got to his mansion and carried the unconscious Lily in.
He summoned the Royal physicians and the bullets were removed. But like before, Lily was falling into Coma again. Hours later, Justin came in to check on his boss.
A terrible disaster must have really taken place in the underground basement. The kind of corpse he cleared off, some half burnt and some full fleshed burnt. Kim Amstel, the vampire Prince was also bitten to death. He knew that he had challenged Kayden so much to have let the beast in him let loose
When he arrived, Kayden Diego was pacing back and forth. He was greatly worried. He couldn't ask him what happened in his present state. He could only bring himself to ask about the lordess. Kayden said the lordess was in a bad state at the moment.
Justin told him that she would be fine. Their lordess has been greatly favored, she wasn't going to die. They waited for a long time until they were told that the silver bullets were not just ordinary ones, it was a poisoned one.
That would leave the lordess in a coma for quite a while. Kayden had Alvan taken to the Wolf clan and should remain there until he summoned him to be brought.
VAMPIRE WORLD
Zero Amstel was furious. His Son was dead. It was all Kim's fault. He had warned him not to confront that boy. Kayden was deadly. He doesn't go into a fighting scene without leaving corpses behind.
He had told him to watch out for the time the woman is alone but he dares to go and attack when she is with him. But now what is his gain? He wanted the woman for his Son and the Son he's trying to help was now dead.
When you don't have the capability to fight or rebel against a stronger opponent, it is wise to avoid a contention. No Vampire has been found to be a match to that boy Kayden Diego.
The whole Vampire kingdom mourned the death of Kim Amstel. A monument was erected in memory of him. That night, Zero Amstel broke down in sobs. Kim was supposed to take over from him as the next Vampire lord.
Who would be his heir? His grandson was still a little boy and might not be able to shoulder the responsibilities of the clan. Kayden Diego had broken his backbone. He's become jelly backed.
In the human world, Kayden was seemingly restless. He was greatly disturbed. Lily was unconscious: he was worried, he didn't know what or how Lily would feel when she woke up. He couldn't bring himself to tell his most trusted subject Justin about his last words with the lordess before she went into a coma.
Justin had advised him back then to tell her about her true powers. It's her right to know. But he had declined. Why did he even decline back then? Looking back now, he doesn't know why he had refused to tell her. How can he wash himself clean of whatever accusations she would level against him?
It's all that idiot's fault. He had created a rift between himself and the lordess. It was better that he died otherwise, he would make him taste a fate worse than death.
Though been attended to, Lily looked pale. The silver bullets are things wolves are afraid of the most. With so much shot at her, she would have died already hadn't she not been so strong.
Justin suggested that Kayden bring the lordess to the wolf clan and the latter agreed and Lily was teleported to the clan and was attended to at the quarters.
This way, Elena was in a coma for a few days. And the memory of the past flooded her brain like a dream
