Lily looked weird. Her hair was made into a ponytail. She wore a black lace sleeve Mandarin. She walked out of the bedroom and walked down the stairs. She saw Kayden Diego looking Sullen. He sat on the sofa and Justin was staring at him with a questioning look.
When Justin saw Lily, he looked surprised and at the same time happy. The lordess was awake already and could even walk so easily. But her facial expression was not friendly at all. Bowing slightly "lordess Lily!! Good to see you" Justin giggled.
"Thank you Justin. But I am not your lordess anymore" Lily replied flippantly and stared at Kayden frostily. The latter clenched his fist and his eyes turned red.
Justin was taken aback. What's the matter with the couple? Alpha Kayden was looking Sullen like a woman whose husband had been taken away by another woman. He was asking him what the matter was, but he would not answer him.
He was still waiting for an answer when he saw lordess Lily walk out. Now his wife said she's no longer the lordess. There has definitely been a quarrel between the duo. He looked from Lily's frosty glare and at Kayden's which is emitting a chilling aura.
"Kayden Diego, I want my Son" Lily stated. Kayden didn't even spare her a glance nor answered her. Rather Justin was feeling the heat of his anger. Alpha Kayden was seriously furious and he didn't want him to get any more angrier.
"lordess Lily, what's the matter? If lord Kayden had done something that displeased you, and you don't want to talk things with him, at least, confide in me. He's my lord but he sometimes listens to me. I could help you talk things with him" Justin coaxed.
Rather than Lily answering Justin, she hissed. "Kayden Diego! I don't want to pick a fight with you. I want to get my Son and leave this clan and never return" Lily glared. What is going to happen now? she can't leave except Kayden takes her out and she can't leave her Son behind.
Justin became alarmed. She wants to leave and never return? This seemed to be more complex than he thought. He was practically fidgeting. What has happened, has the lord done something that is unpardonable?
Kayden said nothing, still sitting fuming in rage. Why is Lily doing this to him? His offense on one hand and her recovered memory on the other. They can sit down and resolve their issues but Lily suddenly became so annoying. How can he let her take their Son away? How was he going to survive with another rejection?
"lordess Lily, please can you.."Justin trailed off when Lily turned and gave him a freezing stare." Don't you dare address me as your lordess. I won't repeat myself again, Justin!" Lily yelled at him.
"You want to leave, I will take you back. But don't even nurse the idea of taking my Son with you. I can take you now if you want. But once you leave, I will forbid you from stepping on this clan again or setting your eyes on our Son" Kayden Diego declared standing up and staring at her annoyingly.
He would restrain her from being or seeing her Son? Lily eyed him and sneered. "What kind of a man are you, trying to separate a child from his mother?" Lily demanded.
"Stop quarreling already. Are you both kids, what if Alvan walks in through that door and sees his both parents quarreling?. lord and lordess exchanging angry words at each other? lord Kayden, I beg you your highness, please leave me and the lordess alone"
"I am not leaving Justin. She's my mate, and if there's anyone who understands her better, it's me" Kayden declared. He was hurting already. Lily's displeasure with him was affecting him and he sure knows she's feeling the same too.
"I hate you, Kayden," Lily yelled. She was feeling an inner weakness and couldn't explain the pains she was feeling. She felt her eyes were going dizzy and then... When she opened her eyes hours later, she was lying in the bedroom again.
Kayden knew she was feeling what he was enduring too. He doesn't know why she chose to be adamant. She's just recovering from what was capable of killing an ordinary wolf. She hadn't really recovered and was quarreling with him.
Before she fainted, he had already suspected it and held her before she went off. He had carried her into the bedroom again and summoned the Royal physicians to attend to her. They attended to her and gave her a few medicines.
When the Royal physicians were wondering how to feed her, he told them he would mouth feed her the medicines and that's exactly what he did. As soon as he was through, the Royal physicians left. Only Kayden Diego and Justin was left in the room with the unconscious Lily.
"What exactly caused your rift with her? She was tense up and extremely angry. That's the reason she fainted'' Justin questioned. He knew lord had done something to hurt her majesty otherwise, why would she be so angry with him and even refused to be referred to as the lordess?
"She found out that she's the special one. Kim Amstel spilled the beans and because she can read his mind, she saw through that he was telling the truth. She believed him and felt betrayed" Kayden Diego said. He went further and told him that Lily cried profusely that day before he violently attacked Kim Amstel and killed him.
Lily had said he got married to her on deception. And since she couldn't read his own mind, she believed Kim and distrusted him. But another great threat to him is that Lily had recovered her lost memory. She knew she had been married to her first husband Damian Cross.
How was it his fault that she was married before. He met her and fell in love with her, he saw she was his destined mate. He was also there that day when the Wise one insisted they got married. His fear that day was this and now, it was coming to reality.
He had married someone else's wife and took her for the first time. How can he let her go? They even have a Son already. He's just too muddle headed right now to think of a way out.
Justin was left in a daze. Lily recovered her memory? Is that why she wants to leave Kayden Diego? Is she still in love with her first husband? They could find a way out and get divorced officially with him. Then she can go public with her marriage to Kayden Diego.
But if she loves her first husband the most, then what can they do, what about Kayden? Another rejection? The first rejection turned him into something else. Into someone who detest women and wouldn't even want them anywhere close to him.
When he met Lily, everything else changed and things fell into place. Now finally happy that he was settled down with the woman he loves and their Son, she suddenly woke up and said she was leaving him. Will Alpha Kayden ever remain the same again?
"If she had been told about her true powers before, perhaps she wouldn't have been so upset with you lord," Justin stated. He once told his boss to tell her about her true powers and ability. But he wouldn't listen. Now, the entire clan will shoulder the aftermath of his grief if Lily finally leaves.
"I admit I was wrong," Kayden said, leaning against the wall and staring at the peaceful face of Lily. He was wrong not telling her about her powers. But till the very moment, he doesn't know why he didn't tell her.
"You know I love Lily more than my life and I can't imagine my existence without her. I really do love. I wish she can go through my mind as well," Kayden said quietly like a whisper.
When Lily woke up again, her eyes were groggy. The rays of light falling into her eyes through the window blinds made her Iris contract. She saw Kayden sitting by her bedside and holding her hand.
When he saw her open her eyes and struggling to a sitting position, he quickly gave a helping hand. He helped her to a seat and poured her a glass of water "Take some water" Kayden offered.
Lily stretched her hand but Kayden rather took the glass to her mouth and fed her. She drank obediently and shook her head when she'd had a fill. Kayden placed the glass on the bedside table and moved the strands of hair falling on her face backwards.
Seeing Lily was not rejecting him, he asked "Are you ok darling? Do you still feel pain or hurt anywhere?" He was concerned. He was practically treating Lily like a queen. One won't believe that his highness can act the role of a servant this perfect.
Lily shook her head,"I feel perfectly fine" she felt so light and wondered why she fainted. She yawned and Kayden told her to wait,he was going to fetch her meal.
Lily said ok and Kayden, trying his luck, just kissed her temple. Lily didn't shoved him aside nor turned her head away. He smiled and told her he will be back. As soon as he stood up to go, Justin came in holding more medicines.
When he saw Kayden smile, he knew his issues with Lily were no more complicated. Kayden winked an eye and dashed out. "You look better now,"Justin commented.
Lily smiled and said she's really feeling fine as if nothing happened to her before. Justin placed the medicine on the table and said she'll now take the medicine herself now that she's awake.
Lily asked how she was given the medicine when she was unconscious. Justin was blunt and told her that his highness mouth fed her himself. Lily frowned and Justin told her how his highness almost went crazy and restless because of her.
Lily couldn't help it but felt happy. He was restless because of her? That serves him right. Who told him to keep her in the dark about her abilities. She heard everything he discussed with Justin when she was unconscious. She heard the remorse and regrets in his voice and also heard how he told Justin that he loved her and can't live without her anymore.
When she woke up, she wasn't surprised to see him by her bedside. That explains why she was no longer upset with him. She saw the excitement in him and the special care and treatment. Perhaps Kayden Diego really loves her and he's nothing like that murderer Damian Cross.
Kayden soon returned with a plate of noodles. He asked that Lily sit on the sofa and take the cutleries, feeding her gradually until she's full. Justin stood by the sidelines and watched.
He had also done something similar with Linda when she was pregnant. He practically became an errand boy and does all her bidding. But seeing his high mountained Alpha lord doing this for the lordess, makes him conclude that men can become servants and errand boys to their women.
"Justin, were you also keeping secrets from Linda?" Lily asked and Kayden's heart shivered. Lily was coming to it again. "If it will destroy her, I will keep it from her. After all love is keeping your mate happy come what may"Justin replied intelligently.
"Mm..mm" Lily knew Justin's response was a calculated one. He was creating a space of defense for his boss. She wanted to say something else, but Kayden quickly put the glass of water to her mouth.
As Lily sipped in water, Kayden gave Justin a thumbs up. "Kayden Diego, how do you explain yourself?" Lily asked as soon as the glass of water left her mouth. "I am sorry," Kayden said simply. He would explain things to her but first, he had to apologize to her for his wrong.
He further told her all about what the wise one said and how he had to be mated with her as soon as possible. Just to do it in the right way, he asked her that they get married. He did what he did for her, for himself and the entire clan.
Lily listened with rapt attention. It was so simple. Why didn't he tell her since, why did she have to hear it from a stranger and not from her mate. What else did he know about her? He angrily told her during their heated argument about her marriage that was never consummated.
She knew she was still a virgin on their wedding night. That pain, the blood can only be the proof. But then, she didn't know she was married before. But now that she had recovered her memory, she knew that Kayden was her first man and looks like he would be the only one.
She loves him and he loves her too. He saved her and helped her regain her health again. "Did you already know I was married?" Lily asked.
