Lily blurted out. She saw through the man and knew that he was lying. Royal mother turned and glanced at Lily whose eyes were focused on the man seated on the floor.
Kayden Diego and Justin turned and saw Lily and the Royal mother standing at the door of the hall. Lily was looking too serious with the annoyance on her face.
The man on the floor tried to turn to see the person who spoke but couldn't. The fetters used in chaining him were too firm to leave him a space to turn.
"Come over lordess and prove what you said" Kayden Diego instructed. He watched his Luna as she took majestic steps forward. Royal mother followed and wanted to see what would unfold.
"This man is a liar my lord!!. He is a spy sent by the vampire lord to find a secret" Lily thundered. Turning to the man she scowled "Why don't you tell his highness that you were sent and failure to be successful will lead to the execution of your wife and children" As she stood in front of the man, she seemed to be x-raying his heart.
Fear, panic and questions were obvious on the man's face. His complexion went red and he looked at Lily with his mouth agape. How did this woman know all these facts? How could she have gotten an accurate description of what was actually the truth? Or could she be the one he was told to find?
"Surprised, that I discovered the truth? Why are you wondering if I was the woman you were sent to find?" Lily sneered.
Now the man on the floor knew that the woman standing in front of him was not a mean person. She's the lordess as the alpha had said and she possesses such great ability? She's definitely the one he was sent to find.
The other three people exchange looks. Lily's power has been manifested. Kayden Diego didn't want Lily to see through anything else and diverted her attention with another question.
"lordess Lily, tell us everything we need to know" Fastening his eyes on her. The latter bowed slightly before explaining in detail "My lord, this man like I said earlier is a spy. He was to find out the existence of a certain woman with the special gift. He was assigned to bring his findings and if they found her, they're going to launch an attack on our clan to kidnap her"
Kayden Diego frowned. Such a massive amount of information? He stared at the man in front of him who adamantly was pleading with him to spare him because he was not lying. The woman they were eager to find has been taken by him already. What a waste of time to that old hag called the Vampire lord.
"You dare to lie before me?!!"Kayden growls. Royal mother was left spellbound by the sudden revelation from Lily. But thank goodness she doesn't seem to know the woman in question was actually herself.
"I am sorry lord, my family has been practically imprisoned by the vampire lord and my safe return with positive results will determine their safety. Please spare me and let me go" the man pleaded.
"Someone come and throw him into the Raven cage to be tortured. Leave him till midnight to be thirsty for blood" Kayden ordered. And almost immediately, some bodyguards came forward and bundled the man away.
Only then did Kayden Diego glanced at Lily with full admiration. She had begun to fulfill her destiny by his side. And they're about just starting.
IN HUMAN WORLD
Damian Cross disengaged the old employees who had been working in the company since the time of Lily's father and replaced them with newbies.
Anna Brook had been feeling uncomfortable with Damian Cross' mother. She dictates everything in the house from what they'll eat to how much she would use in shopping. She's a miser and would hardly allow Anna say or do anything without her consent.
She had thought it's going to be herself and Damian Cross living alone but never knew his parents would bring their miserable selves to live with them.
She would have acted already against Damian's mother had it not been...
That she's yet to be married to Damian. He had promised to obtain a certificate at the bureau for them and doesn't want to do or act in a way that would make him decide to do otherwise.
If anything happens, Damian would only listen to his parents. He's such a pig head. As soon as the license is obtained, she'll take over the affairs of the house and completely put that nosy old thing where she rightly belongs.
When Harold Aaron discovered that the old time employees had been relieved of their duties, he frowned and wondered why Damian Cross would do that. Was he afraid of unforeseen circumstances or does he have a problem of trust? Harold Aaron felt Damian Cross was afraid of being caught.
Harold Aaron swore to bring Damian Cross down. This man had nothing, a complete peasant who suddenly woke up one day and became a President. He reaped where he had sowed nothing.
His research had shown that Anna Brook was pregnant. He would keep investigating and wait for the time the child would be born. If the pregnancy had been conceived before Boss Lily's sudden demise, then there's something fishy about her death and he would trace it to her.
If the child's father is Damian Cross, then they are in for a contention with him. If they think no one was watching, then they must be living in a false fantasy.
After several days of Larry Jones investigation, he had found no trace of Lily and was too scared to return to his house. Lily's ghost would definitely be living in that house. And since all the servants in the house also left, there's no one to give him feedback on whether the ghost was patrolling the house.
Refusing to return to his house from the hotel, Larry Jones rented an apartment at the extreme end of the City. Never will he return to pick any of his belongings from that house again. He would be careful not to welcome an uncertain person into his house next time.
Thank goodness, he hadn't informed the police. How else would he have been able to explain her sudden disappearance?. Oh Larry Jones, you are an idiot! He gave himself a knock on the head.
WEREWOLF WORLD
Kayden Diego ordered the Vampire spy to be shut up. He retired into his study as Justin came in after him. The latter almost got betrayed by his panic. He almost allowed himself to be suspected by Lily.
If Lily had glanced at him at that moment, she would have read his mind as well and that might have posed a great challenge for him.
"Were you stupid a while ago?" Kayden Diego asked, looking completely pissed off by Justin's weird behavior. As soon as Lily walked in, he knew she had seen through the man on the floor. He had to exert an inner power over the other werewolves around and that includes himself, his mother and Justin.
They were the only ones who held a secret that Lily mustn't know about. But Justin was almost panicking at Lily's revelation. And that would have sold them off already.
"Yes, I really was stupid. I am sorry lord. I least expected the lordess to begin so soon in exhibiting her gifts" Justin pleaded.
Kayden Diego just stared at him annoyingly. Justin is a servant turned friend and in the human world, he acts as his assistant. No one knew how much they had been addicted to each other.
"As soon as we return to the human world, put more effort and find out about Lily's past. It's getting too long and I am giving you an automaton of one week from the day we returned. Assign someone to investigate from the neighboring countries if you like. But one thing I want is answers.
"Yes, your highness," Justin replied. He had investigated the whole of Z-country and there's nothing about Lily. Maybe, he would pay a private detective to do research on other countries.
Perhaps lord had traveled so far the day he found her and couldn't depict the exact location he found her.
Lily was in the company of her mother in law. They had gone into the garden for a brief chat and then introduced her to the responsibilities of a lordess. Her majesty the Royal mother was once a lordess when her husband Kayden's father was still the alpha.
