Justin told Kayden Diego about the present development and asked to be excused. He was going to help save Harold Aaron. Kayden Diego told him to be smart and ensure that he gets hold of those miscreants and brings them all alive.
After Harold Aaron hung up, he started going around in circles just as Justin had instructed. He kept going over and over the same place that Damian's bodyguards started suspecting that he had discovered they were trailers.
But because where Harold was circling was in a well populated area, they couldn't strike otherwise the surveillance camera would capture them. After a few minutes, Harold Aaron received a call from Justin that he could lead those bandits to a lonely path now.
Acting, based on instructions, Harold Aaron started racing toward a lonely ally and the BMW also was racing after him. They were happy the scoundrel was finally doing what they wanted him to have done a long time ago.
As they got to a narrow alley, they discovered a black porch was following them from behind. They squinted who was trying to ruin their mission. Suddenly, The black porch drove and overtook them and crossed them in front giving a loud Screeching.
Harold Aaron saw what happened from his rear view mirror and slowed down. Another Porch, identical to the one behind was approaching in front of him and made him stop. He slowed down and came to a stop. Few men dressed in suits stepped out and beckoned at Harold Aaron to join their car.
Harold Aaron recognized them at once. They were those who had abducted him earlier. They are boss Lily's men. He turned briefly and saw Justin who gave a nod, seconded that Harold Aaron followed the man.
The driver of the BMW stopped but refused to wind down the glasses. They were in a daze, who were these men, and how related are they to Harold Aaron?
Justin stepped out, he looked mysterious in his black suit and cloak. He jumped on the bonnet of the BMW and stood there lighting a cigarette. He stood and waited when the bandits would choose to step out.
He watched as Harold Aaron came out of his car and followed his men. Soon he returned and brought out the waterproof folder from his car and transferred it to the other car. When he saw that, he smiled and gave Harold Aaron a nod before telling him to call him whenever he suspects any foul movement around him again.
Harold Aaron bowed and thanked Justin before sliding into his car and turning around to go. He got into his car and maneuvered his way, going out of the lonely path. He was surprised that the occupants in the BMW didn't come out but sat still watching a man standing on their car bonnet.
The bodyguards on Damian assignment exchange glances. Looks like they're between the rock and a hard place. Who's this damn man that has come to ruin their mission and allowed who they were assigned to kidnap and walked out on them without a scratch.
Are these men Harold Aaron's men? They stayed still but when they saw Harold Aaron drive off, the driver gave a blasting horn and tried to reverse back. At least they were blocked in front, they would reverse and continue their chase. As for the fellow standing on their car bonnet, they would throw him off when the car started racing.
But alas, as the car tried to reverse despite Justin standing on its Bonet, they heard a loud pop!!, pop!!! sound, the car tyres slowly sank down like a balloon. The back tires had suddenly gone flat. The occupants of the car had no option than to step out. Then Justin stepped down too and yanked the driver up by his collar.
The others pointed their guns at him but he didn't give a damn about them just stood and stared into the eyes of the man. He felt like digging into his clavicle with his claws. "Who the hell are you?"the man inquired.
His men immediately pulled the trigger and all aimed at Justin. The other bodyguards who had come along with Justin also surrounded them totalling out numbering Damian's men. A fight ensued and without being told, Damian's men were defeated. They would have just killed them off but the boss wanted them alive.
They were handcuffed and blindfolded before being thrown into the car. By the time the blindfold was removed, they were chained to the chairs back to back two in a room. That's how they remained till the next morning.
Damian Cross waited all night but didn't receive a call from those he assigned duty. He couldn't sleep. He tried calling the leader of the group and the line was switched off. He hoped nothing had gone wrong?
While he was disturbed, Anna Brook asked if anything was the matter and Damian cross said nothing, he wasn't willing to disclose whatever he's doing anymore to Anna. He doesn't want her to rise up one day and threaten him with whatever information she's got.
That night, Kayden Diego and Justin stayed awake together, going through all the evidence Harold Aaron had handed over. The fellow seemed to be sure that Lily was not dead and had prepared enough evidence to nail Damian Cross when the time came.
The documents were viewed and kept safe again. When the lordess wakes up the next morning, she would be informed of all that had happened. Whatever needed to be done should be done, the full moon was approaching and they needed to return to the wolves clan especially because of Alvan Diego.
That night, after many months, Lily dreamed of her parents. She seemed to be younger, possibly a teenager. Her parents held her hand and they seemed to be happy. But suddenly, there was a strong whirlwind blowing dust and smoke and bringing out a deep smog.
They started running but seeing the whirlwind become stronger, her parents couldn't run fast anymore but they were calling out to her to keep running and escape. With fear evolving in her she turned back only to see her parents being swallowed up by the wind.
Looking frantically as they merged into the wind, she started hearing a loud laughter renting her ears and torturing her whole being when she saw her parents disappear into the wind.
Turning to see who was laughing hysterically, she was dazed when she saw Damian Cross:
A kind of anger rose within her. Why would Damian Cross be laughing when he saw her parents merged into the wind and disappeared? He should be sympathizing with her but he was doing the opposite. Was he happy that her parents had disappeared?
But before she could reprimand him for his behaviors, she saw him bring out a dagger and was going to drive it into her throat when she started screaming:
"No!,
no!!
noooo!!!"
Then she woke up with a start and saw that Kayden Diego was holding her tightly in his arms. She was sweating profusely and her heart was beating very fast. She was shivering and held Kayden Diego as if she was going to melt into him.
"A nightmare again?" Kayden Diego asked. It's really been a long time since she last had this kind of a nightmare. He was now tapping her gently on her back like a little baby that was being coaxed.
Lily started crying. She snuggled herself into his chest as if he was going to vanish out of her sight. Kayden Diego cuddled her and allowed her to do whatever she liked. "It's a horrible dream, right?"Kayden Diego asked after a long while of cuddling.
"Please Kayden don't leave me, don't leave me. Damian Cross wanted to kill me in the dream" Lily was sobbing. She started having hiccups. "I wasn't going to leave you, never. As for Damian Cross, he'll soon go behind bars I promise you" Kayden assured her.
Kayden Diego suspected that Lily's obsession gave rise to her dreams. She hadn't stopped thinking about her pay back time for Damian Cross all day. Perhaps that's what gave rise to her dream. All the same, he assured her that he wasn't going to let any harm come to her again.
He gently let her lay back on the bed and carefully poured her a glass of water from the bedside jug. She took a sitting position and drank carefully. Placing the glass down, Kayden assured her "Don't get scared Ok, I am with you and nothing bad is going to happen to you"
Soon, she went back to sleep but placed her head on his chest. That way, they both soon slept off. But this time, Lily had another dream and she was happy with Kayden. She saw them together and Kayden was hugging her on one side and Alvan Diego on the other side.
They three looked different, like celestial beings. Kayden Diego wore a purple coloured robe and looked exactly as he's always dressed in his lordship appearance. Alvan Diego was dressed identical to his father while she wore a pure white robe.
They were walking happily together and there was a cool breeze blowing up their hairs. Their robe seemed to be flowing in the breeze as she tried pushing her hair backwards. Kayden really was looking extremely handsome as he turned and smiled at her.
She smiled at him too and gently placed her head on his shoulder. "I love you forever Lily,"Kayden said. "I love you too,"She replied. "Mama, papa, I love you both" Alvan Diego also stated. What else could he say when he heard his parents exchanging their confession of love to each other.
"Love you baby". "I love you Son" his parents replied respectively.
Next morning, When Lily woke up, she found her hands circled round Kayden Diego. The latter had been awake for a long time now but refused to get up. Worried he might disturb her sleep. He remained like that and waited patiently for her to wake up.
Lily yawned and uncircled her hands from Kayden Diego's waist before stretching them. She looked up at him and saw him smiling at her. She immediately remembered her dream. He was smiling exactly like he did in her dreams.
"Good morning darling"Kayden greeted first, caressing her hair."Good morning sweetheart" Lily replied and buried her head on his torso again. She doesn't feel like standing up. Just remaining where she was with Kayden makes her feel perfect.
"Did you sleep well?"Kayden inquired. That nightmare had interrupted her sleep. He only hopes she gets to sleep well after she returns back to sleep. " I had to sleep well when I had your body as my pillow," Lily chimed. What a great sleep she had and woke up to see her hands wrapped around her husband.
Kayden Diego planted a featherlight kiss on her temple before standing up. He told her they had a lot to discuss. That way they both tidied up and got dressed before meeting Justin. When Justin saw them, he bowed before them.
Kayden Diego ordered that the breakfast be set. After having their breakfast, he rehearsed all that happened the previous day to Lily. The latter was just speechless! Damian Cross was even planning on kidnapping Harold Aaron? How brutal his ways have become.
Lily ordered the interrogation of the men and had them locked up. They were going to perform a special task for her soon. Since Damian Cross only knows how to be brutal, she'll show him a new method of ruthlessness.
Lily also asked that Damian Cross and his entire family be abducted and brought before her latest by dusk. She would do what she had to do and not stall for time unnecessarily. Harold Aaron had hasten her revenge when he gathered enough evidence already. Otherwise, she would have just to start sourcing for evidence.
