Lily blinked. Kayden Diego was right, she had made that Promise. But getting married now implies that even when she recovers her memory, she can't go back or back out of the union. She would like to know who she truly was before accepting her life with Kayden.
"I did promise so. But I haven't recovered my memory yet. I would be..."she trailed off when Kayden held her in a warm embrace. He felt his body heated up and slightly refrain a little.
"Lily I love you" Kayden confessed and suddenly pulled her and started kissing her. When he released her lips he gave the final verdict "the wedding holds the day after tomorrow. But henceforth, mother will take you to her quarters until the wedding venue, you aren't going to see me. Ok?"
Lily gave a nod. "I love you". "I love you too" they both profess their love and Kayden stood up just as the Royal mother came in.
"Mother" Lily greeted standing on her feet. Kayden went away leaving the mother and daughter in-law pair. "Lily,my daughter," Royal mother beamed with a smile.
This is the girl that has come to bless their werewolf clan." Lily dear, I've come to invite you to come over to my quarters". Lily nodded and told her that Kayden had informed her already.
That way the news of the Alpha's wedding rang through the entire pack. Everyone was getting ready except Envy.
When Envy heard about Kayden Diego's and Lily's wedding, she grew furious and started throwing tantrums. She broke the beautiful flower vase in their sitting room. The beast in her was taking over her reasoning.
When her father came in from the cabinet meeting and saw his daughter, he squinted. What is the matter with his daughter? Who is she mad with? "Envy, what's the matter?"
"Father, are you going to fold your arms and watch Kay Diego taken away from me? Will you prefer I suffer and die miserably ? help me secure a future as the lordess father" Envy went on tattling.
"Envy, the Alpha's decision cannot be questioned. If he chose that half human as his mate, no one can question his decision or choice of a Luna" Envy's father was trying to calm his daughter.
"Why can't there be someone to put him in order. I am the most beautiful woman in our werewolf clan and a warrior who is on par with the best swordsman. No one else deserves to be the lord's mate beside me!!" Envy was spouting out nonsense.
"Just let it be. Forget about being the lord's mate and find another mate among the warriors" Her father declared. He knew Envy had been waiting for Kayden to make her his mate but since he doesn't want her, the best thing is for her to resign to fate.
"I will not let that wedding take place!" Envy declared. She was going to ruin it and make sure it never holds.
"You will do no such thing!! Do you want Kay Diego to execute you?" Her father cautioned her silly idea. He doesn't want to end up like Joe Bidder and his daughter.
"If you must do anything, wait for the wedding to be over then you can make a friendly alliance with the lordess and kill her when no one is watching, after all, she's half human and can never be stronger than you" Envy's father counselled her.
If Envy tried doing anything now, she would be discovered and that implies an automatic death penalty. Envy became calm and accepted to go in accordance with her father's idea. You will meet with your end soon dear future lordess.
Lily followed the royal mother to her quarters and was confined to a room. She's not to see anyone else besides the Royal mother for a period of twenty four hours. During those periods she will bathe in different concoctions to purify her body from any curse. A ritual done by every woman who will take the title of a lordess.
Each soak in concoction that Lily stepped out from makes her look more glittering than the previous. Kayden Diego's mother told her that she was getting cleansed and at the same time being approved by her predecessors blessings that qualifies her to take the title.
A day left before the wedding, Kayden Diego went to visit the Wise one on his own without even taking Justin along. When the wise one saw him, he congratulated him for taking a decision that would benefit them all and himself the most. Finally the wise one gave him a sign that would prove he entirely possessed her.
Everything about the wedding was ready and the royal mother ensured that her daughter in-law got the best wedding dress in the whole werewolf clan.
That night Lily couldn't sleep, her nightmares rendered her shivering and at the same time sweating profusely. Royal mother had been spending the nights with her for the last two days and had already experienced what her nightmares were like. But this very night, Lily was practically shedding tears and her temperature was very high.
If the royal mother hadn't known before, the kind of woman Lily was, she would have scared herself to death. She knew that the power in her was closer to the day of it getting loose if not tamed.
When Lily woke up the next morning, she found the royal mother by her bedside. She smiled and the Royal mother took her hand carefully. That day, they'll become real mother and daughter and nothing was going to come in between.
"Good morning mother" Lily greeted and tried sitting up . "A very good morning my dear Lily," the royal mother responded. She gave a hand and helped Lily adjust comfortably. She told her that that day, her wedding with Kay Diego was an experience she had waited to witness for years and she had made the dream come true.
She then Chipped in a question she was waiting to ask her.
She asked if Lily had a nightmare and she said no. She sometimes experiences nightmares but last night, she didn't. She squinted and wanted to ask her mother why she'd asked but couldn't bring herself to question her.
Royal mother smiled and said she was only asking, it doesn't imply anything. She further told Lily to go get a bath, the bridal servants were waiting to dress her up.
Soon, Lily went into the bridal dressing room. There were about twenty servants in the room. All stood ready to be instructed. Royal mother clapped her hand and two of the servants brought a beautiful shiny ball gown.
When Lily saw the elegance and antiques of the dress, she looked at it totally mesmerized by its beauty. This ball gown would make any unmarried girl willing to become a bride.
"Do you like your wedding dress?" Royal mother asked. Lily beaming with a beautiful smile. "Mother, I do not like it, I love it. It's a dream wedding dress mum" Lily responded. Royal mother was pleased that Lily liked it and the dressing began properly.
After hours of dressing, the servants asked the royal mother if everything was perfect or not? "My daughter in-law is beautiful and perfect, these things are just adding glitz and glamour to her already perfect being" Royal mother replied
As soon as they were through, a servant came to announce that the Royal priest had arrived and asked that the bride come forward.
Lastly, the Royal mother produced a beautiful veil that was used in covering her face before she stood up to leave the dressing room. She was going to see Kayden Diego after two full days of being in the same world but separated by confinement.
Kayden Diego was standing before the priest and waiting for his bride. All the members of the Middleton pack were present except the border patrol wolves. They had all come to grease the occasion of their alpha and get to meet their lordess.
No one knew why this wedding seemed urgent but whichever way, their lord was getting married. Envy stood at a strategic position to watch the wedding procession. This was supposed to be her, getting married to the lord but some wretched human had suddenly appeared and taken away what rightfully belongs to her.

When Kayden saw Lily, he almost gaped at her stunning appearance. She looked like an angel that just descended the sky.
As they stepped out, the Royal mother whispered to Lily "Lily dear, I can't walk you to the priest because I am your mother in law. How about I find someone else to walk you down the aisle?"
"Yes mother, Justin will be fine" Lily replied through the veil. Immediately, the Royal mother summoned Justin to come forward.
Gladly, he came over and hooked his arm with Lily's and asked "Can we, sister?". "Yeah sure" Lily replied.
Justin walked Lily to the priest and Ms Gracey followed and stood at the bride's side, Linda also joined. Placing Lily's hand on Kayden Diego's, Justin withdrew and joined the others: Linda and Ms Gracey who stood at the bride's side.
Holding Lily's hand, Kayden admired her. She's so beautiful. His eyes were just glued on her so that the observers can tell that he's really in love with her.
Lily felt his eyes were on her and she looked at him. She was captivated at how handsome he looked in his attire. He wore a royal robe, looking so ethereal.
