Lily and Ms Gracey started watching a TV series when Lily's phone chirped. It was Justin on the other end. He told Lily he was coming to pick her for a party, if she would be interested. Of course she would be.
Lily was super excited, she's longing for the breath of fresh air. She was going to step out of the mansion for the very first time and the thought of it made her belly sweet.
She told Ms Gracey about Justin's call. She started anticipating the latter's arrival. When she told Ms Gracey to help her make a selection of the clothes she should wear, the latter told her not to worry that her dress for the party would soon arrive.
Did Kayden Diego know that Lily would be attending a party with Justin? Or was he the one that instructed Justin to call her up. Kayden had gotten obsessed with Lily. He calls her several times a day asking how Lily was doing, is she fine? Had the nightmares gone? Is she brooding over anything?
When the questions were too much that Kayden was asking, she told him to call her himself and get the answer to all his questions but Kayden laughed over the phone and said he would call her as often as he wants and she had to answer his questions.
True to Ms Gracey's words, an hour later, a delivery man brought a parcel to the gate of the mansion. Quickly Lily got to dress herself up. Ms Gracey was with her to help her out on the make-up.
Flippantly, Lily asked Ms Gracey whose clothes were in the wardrobe, the ones she'd been wearing? But Ms Gracey's cheerful countenance immediately changed.
She was quiet for a while and that made Lily regretted why she asked. Had she asked a question she should never have asked?
"Don't bring up that question before Kayden. The memory of it makes him go crazy" Ms Gracey warned but was contemplating maybe she should tell her or not.
She was not going to tell her. If someday, Kayden wants her to know, he would tell her everything she needs to know about him and his family. After all, she felt he was having a crush on her already even if the latter tried hiding it.
Soon Lily was through dressing up. Besides the dress, everything else that Lily wore to the makeup was the one she found in the wardrobe. The real owner of the wardrobe must have bore a lot of semblance with her for her to have conveniently felt comfortable with her clothes and shoes.
When Ms Gracey saw her radiance and elegance, she couldn't help but to see her as an angel. Lily is looking very beautiful.
Justin arrived and before stepping out of the room, Ms Gracey held Lily's hand "Lily, I am sorry I can't bring myself to answer your question. Kayden had concealed the memory and if he gets to know I did otherwise, guess what punishment he would give me?" she was talking in a whisper.
Lily narrowed her brow slightly, it's a secret then or an unpleasant memory. "No worries Ms Gracey" she smiled, assuring her of her understanding. Kayden Diego is the Alpha and is capable of punishing anyone who went against his orders.
Ms Gracey smiled at the beautiful Lily. She doesn't have to say everything before she understands. Lily finally got out of the room and started descending down the stairs gracefully.
Justin turned to look at the woman descending the stairs and practically stood transfixed. Gush! is this Lily?
Lily wore a red mermaid split gown. Her hair styled into a bun with a few curly strands falling on her face. She carried a silver colored cross bag. She had light makeup and pink lipstick.
A glittering diamond earrings that Sparkles were dangling from her ears. She looked like a princess, ready to be crowned.
When Justin saw her beautiful appearance with an elegant smile on her lips, the grace with which she carries each step, he was completely captivated by her looks. Such a beauty to behold.
"I am ready,"Lily declared. She was now standing a few distance from Justin and he just stood there, staring at her. Was he admiring her?.
Only at Lily's words did Justin snapped out of his fantasies and smiled at her. He smiled and waved his hand at Ms Gracey with a goodbye, leading Lily to the car.
When Justin drove into the street, Lily was looking at the street as they passed, the landscape, the buildings and the various cars they crossed if she could find a bit of her memory but everything was still so blank.
When the duo arrived at the Starlight Group, it's a twenty four story building. Lily looked up at the structure, She felt a little familiar with such a building.
The party was taking place on the top floor. All the employees were present and the party had begun. Justin led Lily to the elevator as they both were taken to the twenty fourth floor where the floor was located.
As Justin and Lily stepped on the floor, all heads were turned in their direction:
Lily was a beauty to behold. Her attractive look was capable of making someone freeze in their paths, just by staring at her. All the employees of the Starlight Group were captivated by her radiance.
Lily practically took everyone's breath away. Her curvy figure was glaring at the mermaid gown she wore exposing part of her soft white babish skin.
The female employees stared at her with pure envy while the males were lost in admiration. Justin threw a quick glance at the faces of his colleagues and saw them all staring at the beautiful Lily without even sparing him a glance.
Gosh! Beautiful women cannot pass unnoticed. None of the employees even spared him a quick glance. After all, he was standing next to her. Lily raised her head upright, looking at the faces of the people present.
She wore a poker face and gently took a spot for herself. She felt unwelcomed especially from the female species and thought the opposite gender sees her as being seductive.
She couldn't find Kayden among the people present in the party and wondered if he's even aware of the party in the first place. She thought she would see him here after so many days of being absent from home.
Unknown to everyone except Justin, Kayden Diego was watching the party from his office. He had told Justin to install CCTV before the party began. And the main reason he gave that instruction was to watch Lily from the sidelines.
As if seeing through his thoughts, Justin made the suggestion of inviting Lily to join in the employees party. She's not attending as an employee but as a friend. With a shrug, Kayden gave in and she was invited.
He doesn't want her to feel imprisoned but to see herself as his guest. But deep in him, he longed to see her, just to behold her beautiful face and nothing else.
Seeing her beautiful appearance from the camera, he couldn't resist the urge to touch her delicate body nor have the taste of her pink colored lips. This feeling was something he had never felt before.
Her irresistible grace, her beautiful dress coupled with the elegant way she stepped into the party venue makes him feel she has the aura of someone from the aristocratic family.
But her earrings caught his attention. He remembered that particular earrings, they reminded him of a painful memory. But they looked good on Lily and he's happy that she wore it.
He had refused to go home for days now just so he doesn't cross paths with her in the mansion but despite that, he found himself crushing, not just crushing but tripping over her, in his heart. What difference does it make then, whether he goes home or stays elsewhere, Lily has come to occupy his heart.
Lily joined in the toast and the party continued. She smiled at those who cared to say Hi and raise her glass to them.
Midway through the party, Lily leaned towards Justin and asked "Where's President Diego?"
Justin raised an eyebrow at Lily's question and chuckled silently. He had seen her earlier, looking at all the guests present from his split vision. Was she looking for the boss?
Is there something he's yet to fathom about the duo? He had eavesdropped on his boss' conversation with Ms Gracey and his discussion with her was focused on Lily's well-being and how she was coping.
Are they having some kind of attraction towards each other? How he wished it's true, that a woman finally broke through the boss' strong repulsion. He really wished they found out they're each other's mate.
"Why are you asking after him so often? Do you miss him?" Justin teased her in a whisper. He didn't answer her question but rather asked her instead.
"I..I.. no, I mean I was just asking"Lily stammered. This guy called Justin is a jerk. He caught her off balance and she couldn't explain herself properly. She only called him twice during the past one week and this time makes it the third and here he is making it sound like she's been asking after him incessantly.
Justin turned a white eye. Liar! Lily was lying. She missed him but would not admit it. As cold as Kayden Diego is, so there can still be someone who will miss him among the female species? But looks like the woman can only be Lily, only she has his blood, a significant part of his existence.
They both were having a silent heated argument. Lily was having a childish frown with pouty lips because Justin insisted that she missed his boss while she was denying it.
They were like this and didn't notice when Kayden Diego stepped in and his eyes swept over everyone present until it rested on Lily. When he saw how friendly the duo were interacting, he had a feeling of jealousy and frowned coldly.
It was until there was absolute silence that Lily and Justin looked at the entrance simultaneously and saw Kayden Diego glaring at them with a chilling stare:
