"I'm not a river pack member, how can we be sister?" Jane pulled away from me in disbelief.
"Because my father is yours as well."
She paused and she just kept looking at me.
"Thomas Harpen is my father too, Jane."
Jane soon began to cry.
"I cannot believe that all along we didn't know we were sisters," she ran to me and hugged me.
My hands wrapped around her and my eyes closed glad I had a sister.
I smiled and I too began to cry. Every time, I thought I was alone, The moon goddess showed me I wasn't. She was looking out for me after all.
We both soon stop crying and held hands admiring that we were a family. We were sisters.
"I can't believe I'm related to a powerful wolf like you," said Jane.
I blushed. It felt good to be considered powerful rather than weak.
As I kept staring into her eyes. I knew I had to protect her with all my abilities for she was the only family I had now alive.
"Wait, was that she-wolf Madison who came at our pack for you?" asked Jane curiously
I nodded.
I hated being reminded of Madison after what she did to me.
My head turned away.
"I'm sorry that she took away your pup," apologized Jane.
My head went back to her.
"I hope our relationship won't be affected by her," she said.
"It won't," I again hugged her.
She returned my hug.
I would never allow my hatred for Madison to separate me from the only family I had.
"Salem!" Jane called as she quickly motioned herself from me.
"I know that you don't want to help The Dark Blood Pack, but please do so for me now or I may never see my mom and dad again."
I wanted to tell her that our father hanged himself but the awful image of him was hard for me too. Still, I had to tell her now. I didn't want her to hear from Madison when I knew. I didn't want to disappoint her.
"Salem, create a portal now, we have to save my family," Jane held my hand.
"Jane," I called holding back her hand.
"Salem, please let us go now," she said hastily. "I beg of you, please don't let me lose my dad and mom."
"Our father is dead," Tears formed in my eye as I told her.
Jane's head went to me immediately.
"He hangs himself, Jane."
Jane dropped to her knees. We both began to cry again.
"I'm sorry you had to hear this," I told her.
"Did you get to bond with him?" asked Jane. "I've always wished to be a daddy's little wolf," she cried hard.
"It was too late for me to."
"I'm sorry," she apologized.
I pulled her up from the ground.
"We may lose our father but we have each other," I told her.
She nodded.
"Now, let's go save your mom."
She wiped away her tears and I created the portal picturing in my head where I needed to go.
A large blue portal appeared before us. Jane and I held hands and walked simultaneously inside.
When we got to The Dark Blood Pack I was so stunned at what was happening. It looked like a completely different place. Houses were set on a flame, and wolves were covered in blood and lying on the ground. I began to regret that I didn't follow Alpha Arkane. I could have stopped it before it had came so serious.
"Stand close beside me, Jane."
It felt so strange saying that. If someone had told me years ago that I would be so powerful to protect someone, I would say it's a lie.
I cried and rain came pouring down, stopping all the fires.
"Please safe my baby, she's dying," as she-wolf came to me with her child covered in blood in tears. Soon I saw more. Some were creeping up on me with the little energy they had. Their injuries seemed too great to be healed.
I had to heal them quickly, for they could die. I felt frustrated about not knowing who to heal first. Suddenly, I was surprised when I saw the raindrop was healing them. I didn't know I could do it.
"Focus your attention on healing The River Pack Members only," said Jane.
I nodded and I closed my eyes.
My eyes opened when I had a feeling, a feeling of completeness that my job was finished.
"You did it," Jane hugged me from my right side.
"I didn't know I could do that," I told Jane.
"Don't worry everything is in the book. I'll help you know them."
I nodded.
"Thank you," the wolves acknowledged me.
"Let's find Alpha Arkane," said Jane.
I nodded and we ran to search for him.
We spotted Arkane fighting a Grey Pack member. Another tried to attack him secretly but I electrocute him before he could.
"I know you would come," Alpha Arkane said killing the wolf he was rustling with. His face and body were smeared in blood.
I ran to him and I found myself kissing him.
He returned my kiss and my eyes closed. His lips were truly soft as I thought.
"I'm glad you're okay," I looked him in the eyes.
He returned my stare. One of his hands gently brushed against my face and I felt some of the blood on his hand attached to my face.
"Alpha Arkane," Jane then ran to hug him.
As they both did Arkane's eyes never left mine. As if he was still in surprise at what just happened.
I too was, I couldn't believe what I had just done.
"We have to find Madison," said Jane.
"We have to find her and the alpha before it's too late," Alpha Arkane urged us.
We both ran until were on top of the hill.
Few Grey Pack Members had managed to enter Alpha Deucalion's home. I guarded Jane and killed some of the intruders while Alpha Arkane helped with the rest.
"Mom, Madison!" Jane called.
"What!" Alpha Arkane said in astonishment.
"Madison is my mother," retorted Jane.
"Wait, we are cousins?"
Jane hugged Alpha Arkane.
"How do you know you're family?" asked Alpha Arakane still not believing.
I went away from them and walked around the home searching for Madison, hoping and praying she wasn't hurt. I know how it feels to lose a loved one and I didn't want it to happen to Jane as well. The feeling was too painful.
I walked around the house hurriedly hoping I can heal Madison if she was injured before it was too late.
I stopped at a door, hearing a sound.
"Have you found her?" Alpha Arkane and Jane gain upon me.
"I think so," I stared at the door.
Jane ran to open the door and my heart raced not being prepared to see what was behind that door.
