"Don't you dare hurt my momma!"
Giovanni attacked Miranda. Probably because he was a kid or probably because he caught her off guard, Miranda staggered and fell on her butt.
Giovanni's speed was outstanding. Even though he was just a pup, he gave Miranda a great scratch on her face and she screamed louder than I did.
She launched forward to attack Giovanni, but my son dodged her attack skillfully before hitting her one more time. He made sure to scratch her in the same places she hurt me, only that his scratches on Miranda were a lot deeper than the ones she inflicted on me.
"And this is for hurting her foot before!" Giovanni ducked and slid on his knees, digging his paws into Miranda's feet.
"Ah!" Miranda screamed, bringing everyone to the throne room.
"What is happening here?"
Queen Rosanne arrived along with Sofia and Aaron and a few others.
"It's that boy, he's a demon!" Miranda pointed at Giovanni, whose eyes were still glowing with rage.
He was seething so much that his breath was hitched.
"Gio, Momma, what happened?" Aaron was also beside us in a flash.
"She attacked Momma." Giovanni pointed at Miranda and Aaron's eyes too became fiery. He looked at the scratches on me and rushed at Miranda with his paws elongated.
"No one hurts my momma!"
"Hey, Aaron," Sofia immediately caught him before he could attack Miranda.
"Calm down, champ." She tried to hold him off, but he was enraged. He was struggling to go to Miranda.
"She hurt my momma," he replied through his teeth.
I do not know if I should be sad for being so useless or grateful to the goddess for sending these two my way.
They are my pups. Though they were just five years old, they were strong enough to take on a twenty-year-old wolf just to avenge me.
What more could I ask for?
Seeing my pups being so strong and agile gave me joy and I couldn't help but appreciate Dorian even more. After discovering that they were special, he insisted on having them trained.
He wanted them to know how to use their strength and power and here is the result of the training. My five-year-old son had just dealt with a five times older wolf.
I felt warm in my heart seeing their will to fight against whoever hurt me. I couldn't help my tears.
"It's okay, Aaron, I'm fine."
Aaron came to me along with Giovanni and they both checked my wounds.
"Does it hurt?" They both asked, making me laugh.
Sometimes I wonder who the mother was between us. The way they care for me, makes me feel like I was their child instead.
"No, I'm fine."
"I'm sorry momma, I wasn't around to protect you," Aaron cried.

Now I'm embarrassed. I should be the one protecting my kids, not the other way round.
"I'm sorry momma, I got distracted and you got hurt." Giovanni also said, a single tear dropped down his face.
I should be the one saying sorry.
I should be sorry for being useless. I couldn't protect myself or my pups and I let them put themselves at risk just to save me.
"It's not your fault, my dear." I hugged them both as my tears flowed.
"What happened exactly?" My mother leaned beside me, a sad expression sitting on her face as she checked my wounds.
I took her hands and made her sit. I couldn't let her worry either. She's only just recovered."Don't worry, mother, I will be fine."
"Lillian, get the doctor here right away!" Queen Rosanne ordered.
She was staring at my pups again. I wonder why she was doing that. She ordered some maids to help Miranda get up.
Sofia came to me and clenched her fist as she saw the scratches. "Why did you attack Melody?"
We could all tell who she was speaking to, but instead of a response, Miranda glanced in my direction and she glared at my kids.
I knew Miranda was vengeful, but would she really fight a bunch of five-year-olds just to mend her ego?
"It's okay, your highness, I think we should just leave."
I got up to my feet and curtsied to the queen and bowed to Sofia. I was supported on both sides by my sons as I returned to the room allocated to me.
The Queen had her gaze fixed on my pups and me. Even the others in the room were staring at them as we walked away. They were looking at them as if they were seeing something strange.
Suddenly, we heard loud howls outside and everyone went to look. We were surprised to find the men who had gone to war right there.
"Victory!" The howling increased as we all arrived there.
Everyone went to hug their mates, including my mother. Sophia was off to hug Malcolm too.
I was left standing with my pups hugging me as if they could tell that I needed the hug. Miranda got up and limped towards Derek, who was busy staring at me like he was seeing me for the first time.
"What happened to you?" King Arthur and one other middle-aged man asked.
Derek also went towards her and held her as he checked her body. "Who attacked you?" He asked, seemingly angry.
I hid my pups behind me in reflex. No one noticed my wounds but they all saw Miranda's.
What was I expecting? I wasn't wanted there anyway.
"Melody, you're wounded too." It was Malfoy who noticed me.
Malcolm rushed towards me immediately. "What happened? Did someone attack you?"
"Did the rogues come here?" My father asked worriedly.
However, I know better than to think that he was worried about me.
"No, they didn't." Queen Rosanne replied with a wave of her hand. "It was just a..."
"Father, it was her!" Miranda pointed at me.
I realized that the middle-aged man beside King Arthur was Miranda's father, King Worden.
"Melody attacked you?" Derek looked at the wound and back at me. Then he shook his head. "That is impossible."
