Pregnant and Rejected: His Wolfless Mate

Chapter 47

Ch. 47 / 111 Apr 02, 2026

Melody

Can life get any worse for me?

Why is life so determined to see me fall and be shattered?

Why?

Why Derek?

My life was a mess from the very first day I stepped into this world. Be it as a child, teenager, or an adult.

All I got from life is pain and agony.

The goddess created me as the messiest mess on earth.

When she gave beauty to others, she gave me less. When she gave both parents to other kids, she gave me one less. When she gave wolves to everyone, she gave me none. When she gave Mates to every Wolf, she gave me one that rejected me and When she gave love, she gave me none, until I met Dorian.

I thought it was getting better. That I was getting what I deserved even though a little part of me still feels connected to the jerk who hurt me.

I thought I could finally live the life I deserved as I stepped into the throne room. Seeing Dorian gave me peace as I tried to shake off the itchiness from Derek's bite. I know that I can survive the marking as long as I have Dorian with me.

Never in my wildest dream could I have imagined that Derek would crash my wedding. I mean, the man's got some nerves.

What in the goddess name does he want from me?

Why won't he just let me be?

As if what he did was the best anyone's ever done, Derek passed me an envelope which I wondered what was in it until he asked if I would choose him.

How? Just how did Derek turn out to be the man from that night?

Why did he do that to me?

Was rejecting me not enough? Why did he have to do that to me? Why did he have to snatch my life from me?

I stared at the results and was praying silently that this should all just be a joke. I was praying that this should be Derek's plan to crack our ribs on this day.

I don't want to believe that the man I spent most of my life loving is an animal. One that takes advantage of innocent girls.

I wonder how many more ladies he's done that too.

"Listen to me," Derek was trying to make me speak to him, but my little guardian angels stopped him and so did Malfoy. Even though Sophia gave him an earful, he still wasn't ready to let go.

Derek defended his actions and claimed to want to rectify them by getting married to me. Well, that will only happen in his dreams.

Malcolm was quiet the whole time. He didn't speak a word and neither is my father. He still doubts the authenticity of all these.

I don't know why he only thinks the worst of me.

I can understand why Malcolm still hasn't spoken. He is confused and conflicted. I mean the villain he's spent so many years looking for is his best friend, the king of this kingdom and the Alpha he's sworn to protect.

I know that he feels torn between his affection as my brother and his duty towards the king.

As if he hadn't hurt me enough, Derek said he wanted to make up for his mistakes.

How?

Sophia took the words right out of mind and hurled it at him but his response to that was so annoying that I felt scrapping the skin off his face and mending his rotten heart with it.

I ignored Derek and buried my face in Dorian's chest as my tears rained down. I didn't want to be seen at my weakest, but I just couldn't help it.

"Take me away, Dorian, please."

"Come on," Dorian scooped me off my feet and took me straight out of the throne room.

"Stop right there!" Derek was standing before us in an instant.

He moved at the speed of light. He grabbed Dorian's arm in an attempt to take me out of his arms.

"Don't touch her!" Giovanni jumped to the rescue. He was in the air in an instant, sending a flying kick to Derek's hand that was holding me.

Derek wanted to dodge the kick but was met with another one in an instant. The legs went for him very fast.

Probably because he was caught off guard at first. Derek staggered and had to stand erect to keep him from falling.

He was stunned to see that Giovanni's kick could affect him so much. Dorian moved y go out again, but Derek was quick to move again.

This time Giovanni and Aaron attacked him at once. They both showed the martial arts skills that Dorian's taught them all their lives.

Their moves felt like the ones in those super e Derek with all they've got and it was putting him in a tight spot.

Derek's defenses were great and he was able to keep blocking their attacks without hurting them.

However, he couldn't hold back from Giovanni's fury. Derek's belly couldn't escape Gio's long paws. He scratched him hard and sent a small piece of Derek's robe flying.

Everyone gasped as blood dropped from Derek's belly. Donovan and the others jumped forward but they stopped at Derek's signal.

"That's for hurting her before!" Gio yelled and threw himself in the air until he was taller than Derek, all then he scratched his neck. Before Derek would realize what Giovanni was up to, his neck was bleeding badly.

"And that is for the mark!"

Giovanni signalled Aaron and they both went to Derek at once.

No one said anything. They were all probably too shocked to see two five-year-olds fight so skillfully or they probably want to see how this all ends.

Derek was injured but my pups weren't ready to back off. I tried to go down from Dorian's arms to stop them, but Dorian held me tight to him.

Though Dorian would always tell me that these two were blessed by the goddess, I didn't know how much they were blessed until I witnessed my five-year-old pup beat up a King.

What baffles me is how did that happen?

Did Derek let it happen so I could forgive him or were they just too strong for him?

I watched as they both launched forward ready to attack Derek again, but before they could, Dorian whistled and they both stopped.

He looked at both of them as they came to stand on our side. Offering them a smile and a slight nod, he said,

"Let's just go."
