I gasped and shot upright and panicked. I was in the car, with Silver and Elizabeth, not in such a luxurious place. Everything was black and red in this room. I stared at the red walls but nothing was giving me where I was.
The door opened. My head jerked at it. My lips parted in shock. His expressions were impassive.
Good to know! Nothing to fear.
Something clicked in my head. A part of me leaps happily.
'Oh gosh! Was I sleeping in his bed?'
As silently as possible, I got to my feet and looked down at myself. I was wearing a turquoise colour's warm night suit.
"Where am I?" I asked, looking around the room.
A low growl jumped from his throat. I got it. He wasn't in a sunny mood, "Home," I wasn't expecting him to answer. He looked pretty upset. But why?
"SevenA?" I dared to ask. His slight nod answered me, "How did I come here? Where are Silver and Elizabeth?" The air was tense around me. His eyes were in the normal shade but his expression was dreading me.
"You should worry about yourself. You could have died, " He said, scolding me.
It frightened me, "What do you mean? Are they in trouble?" I asked, hurrying at the door.
"Emersyn," I dead stopped hearing my full name from him, "I'll send them in. Get back in the bed," He twirled to the door and shut the door behind him without looking at me.
My body was still feeling drained. I walked over to the king-size bed. In fact, it seemed larger than a king-size bed. I slid under the blanket.
He could have talked to me. How did he know my name? I haven't felt so sad before but these days it seems normal.
I shivered and pulled the blanket closer to my body. The door opened again, emerging Dastien with a black tray.
'He loves black, I guess.'
"I've informed them. They'll be here soon." He sat down on the edge of the bed and placed the tray.
I stared at the streaming tomato soup, "Am I in trouble?" I asked.
He shook his head, "You could have died. Your body is still under spell's effect." He gritted his teeth, his eyes glowed like fire.
"Dastien, you're complicating things," I said. He stared at me with a confused look. I think he must have understood something else like feelings, "I mean, situation."
"You won't leave the academy without informing me," He said.
"Alex is the headmaster," I said.
He looked at me. His eyes were normal again, forest green, "I'm the head of seven. No one can go against me." He said Impassively. He was dripping with power.
"Would you have allowed me?" I asked.
"We'll see next time." He grabbed the bowl and extended it toward me to hold.
"I liked to be out," I told him, before looking at the delicious soup and fiddling with a spoon.
"Finish it, mou amour," He said.
"How did you know my real name? Did you read my file?" ( And I feel captured sometimes.) I didn't ask this and watched him from under my lashes. He was looking at me, expressionless.
"Yea," My heart began to pound in my chest.
"Why?" I was perplexed. What about his mate? Why would he do that?
"I'm the head," he said.
I inhaled softly but exhaled sharply, "Yea, of course. Why am I not in my room?" I asked. I wanted a lot of questions' answers but I wasn't sure how to reach them. Most important! I didn't have courage.
"Finish it before it gets cold, without question," He said, drawing his face a little closer.
'Yes, listen to him.' My head spoke. I held myself from frowning and rolling my eyes.
I looked at him and nodded. I pushed the questions in the far corners of my mind. I was going to enjoy the silencer and his company.
"Are you girls telling me anything? I heard him, your wolf is weak. Did you get the reason? And your magic! Is it working?" I asked, shoving the last bite of my cake.
They exchanged looks. Perhaps, they are deciding whether they should tell me or not? I can understand I'm new here. They don't wanna trust me with their secrets.
Elizabeth placed her hand over mine, "It's cursed," She said in a low whisper.
I swallowed hard the last gulp, "What do you mean? Cursed? It doesn't sound good to me." A cold chill slithered down my spine.
"We don't know," Silver shrugged, "But we'll know soon," She smiled in hope.
"Hm, what's next?" I asked.
"You're not allowed with us," Elizabeth said.
"Not happening. If you think I'm your friend. I'm coming," I said, crossing my arms.
Silver sighed heavily but didn't say a word.
"King will never allow," Elizabeth said.
I hate this pet name given by Samantha.
"That's my problem," I said, smiling, "Promise me you won't abandon me behind."
They nodded at once, "Tomorrow morning, he has called us again." Elizabeth said, sounding frightened.
Tomorrow, Morning! I have to talk to Dastien.
I nodded and glanced at my wrist. It was four o'clock. I grabbed my backpack and pushed in my feet, "See you later, girls." I spun on my heels.
"Where are you going?" Silver asked, getting on her feet as well.
"Fire," I whispered.
A smile cracked over her face, "Okay!" I heard them.
My instincts were giving me that urge to run back. He was looking pretty upset and furious about sneaking out. I was still going to trigger his anger again.
My breath left me in a rush when I reached the door. I knocked my knuckles over the rich mahogany door. I shifted on my feet in anticipation. Why did he put such a condition? I was hoping to persuade him to let me go. My pulse quickened. I lifted my hand to rap again.
The door opened. Dastien was standing on the other side of the door wearing black trousers and a white t-shirt. His shirt was so thin that I could see the shape of his muscles, his eight abs. The breath left in a rush. I looked up at him. No expression but he was so gorgeous. His hair was covering his forehead. I wanted to run my fingers in his hair. My pulse thundered in my ears. My cheeks flushed bright pink.
"Can I come in?" I asked, looking at his bare feet.
He opened the door wide open. I ignored the flutter in my heart and walked in. I walked over to the couch. The fire was burning in the hearth. He was so warm. Why did he need it?
"Hot chocolate?" He asked.
I smiled, "Yes, thank you." I looked over my shoulder at him.
' He looks so hot! Better, I don't look in his way. '
Heat rushed to my face. I looked back at the fire. Safe sight for now. My stomach started doing flips.
'I need to think about something. He can smell my feelings. I don't want him to know that I'm drooling over him. It'll be so embarrassing. I'm not ready for any relationship. But when I look at him. Gosh! I'm shameless. I need to stop thinking. He can understand me without exchanging words.'
I saw him through the corners of my eyes. He walked toward the kitchen. I let out another long breath.
'I'll persuade him.' I smiled to myself.
He returned to the room immediately, holding a similar blanket like that night. The silence was always greater than anything. He placed it over my body. He looked into my eyes, making my heart race.
I wrung my hand under the blanket. I wasn't feeling cold. I could understand in what circumstances they brought me back. A wave of wild nervousness washed over me.
"Here," He smiled down at me, holding the cup.
I blush and gripped the cup. I was fearing, I would drop it, "Thanks," I muttered.
He nodded and sat on the couch. I could feel the heat from his body. I felt butterflies in my stomach. Calmness was livid in his eyes. His gaze did weird things to my body.
I took a sip and looked at the only view that was safe to watch, "Tomorrow, I'm going with Elizabeth and Silver." I took another sip. It's so delicious.
"No," My head jerked to him. The hot chocolate was still in my mouth. I gulped hard when I saw his lips smashed into a straight line.
"I'm telling you, Dastien. You can not decide," I said.
"Yes, I can. You're not going," he said.
"I'm going," I told him
"Not happening. Finish your cup and go to your room. Concentrate on your study," He said sternly.
"I'm going tomorrow, morning." I got on my feet and the blanket fell on the polished dark wooden. I placed the cup back on the coffee table.
I bent down and grabbed the blanket, placing it on the couch. He stared at him.
"Thank you," I gestured at the cup with my chin.
"Sit down and finish it," he said, his words laced with irritation.
"No, I'm going and you're not stopping me,"
"Emersyn Nelson, come back. " His voice was powerful, pulling me back to him.
I couldn't stop my feet when they carried me back to him. He grasped the blanket so I could sit.
I frowned at him before settling down. He covered my legs with the blanket. He motioned at the cup. I wanted to claw at him. But I couldn't do anything. I grabbed the cup, "I'm going. Stop using your spell on me," I told him before sipping from the cup.
His lips arched in a beautiful smile. My anger melted down. I drank from my cup calmly.
