My smile was lazy and languid when I darted my eyes and I saw him cuddling me. It was the best morning. His arm was locked around my middle, his face buried in the crook of my neck. He was looking so cute with his hair falling over his forehead.
He inhaled deeply. The moment I knew he wasn't sleeping, "You should sleep somewhere else?" I couldn't pull back the smile stretching over my face. First, I could not sleep, then I didn't remember anything after closing my eyes.
He opened his eyes, his smile sent waves of relief in my body. Emotions rushed through me. He splayed his hand on my lower back, pushing me to his chest, "Good morning, mon amour," He brushed his lips on my cheek.
"Dastien," I stared at him.
He laughed, running his hand through his hair. His biceps doubled in size, "My place is there where you are," He shook his head, staring at the ceiling. A moment passed, I kept looking at him, admiring him inwardly. Sighing, "I'm going out for a run." He said.
"Um," I pulled back and nodded.
He jumped out of the mattress on his feet and began to unbutton his shirt.
"What are you doing?" My eyes widened. I didn't want to miss the sight. I opened my mouth anyway.
He glanced at me, "I don't wanna ruin my favourite shirt," He said.
Excitement bubbled inside me. I wanted to see him, "Can I come with you?" I asked.
He chuckled and bent ahead putting his palms over the mattress. His shoulders look broader, so attractive, strong, "Are you sure, baby?" He asked in a slow whisper.
I giggled hearing 'baby' from him, "Yes, I won't go far and return to my room. I have classes." I told him.
"There," He gestured at the couch with his chin, "Your clothes. It would take a few days to repair everything. You're my mate. You're staying here." He said.
"If I'm getting a room." I closed my eyes. I shouldn't agree with him so easily.
"It's your room. Come," He jerked his head at the door.
I got out of bed and put on flip flops. I kept looking at him. It'd be the most amazing sight to see him shifting. I had seen him, but from afar.
"Ain't you hungry?" I asked him. I was still hungry.
"Merde!" He grabbed my wrist and tugged me to the kitchen, "You could have cooked. You don't need to be shy. It's your house, too." He said.
Emotions clogged my throat but I forced them away. I wasn't going to cry in front of him. Abruptly, he hoisted me up and placed me on the counter. I didn't want to smile but my stupid grin was insisted on showing.
His nose brushed my nose. Instantly, he stepped back. He removed the lid and I could see streaming food, "When did you cook?" I asked.
"Rhett," he gripped the plate, piled with food, fixing me a plate, "I should wake you up." He murmured.
He positioned himself in front of me. My knees were brushing his upper thighs. He was so tall.
"Um," I grabbed the fork.
' He wants me to share food. I have shared a room and bed with him. No odd deal. But I've started kind of liking it. It feels romantic. I've just gotten so used to him, his touching without taking it too far.'
It wasn't totally silent between us. I could feel the heat of his body, his gaze on me, our smiles passing to each other when our gazes locked. Dastien finished the entire food.
He grabbed the plate and washed it in the sink. It felt like sitting in heaven while watching him shirtless.
He whirled to me. Holding my hand, he drew his arm around me. My heart leapt and my breath left in a rush.
My feet landed on the floor softly. Inclining, he skimmed his nose down my neck and breathed me in. His low growl reverberated up his chest and made my stomach tighten.
"I think I should stay. Some other day," I gave him a soft smile.
He smiled and brushed his lips on mine, "Hm, good for now." His hold was possessive. I wanted to ask but didn't know how to start, "Say it,"
"I'm human," I nervously blurted. I had repeated it many times in this academy. He laughed and nodded, rolling his hand in motion to continue me, "I have read..."
"Of course in the book?" He said.
I nodded, "Are your feelings the same as Alessandro for Silver?" I wanted to know. I was aware of his feelings but not his.
He nodded and tucked the hair behind my ear, "Yes, you'll feel the changes with time. Do you like to be around me?"
My heart began to beat. My guards turned down against my will around him, "Yes. Sometimes you scare me. Like last night."
Great! I'm a joy killer.
"I can say the same." His gaze skimmed over my face.
I gulped. He was the almighty king of shifters. Nothing could frighten him. But he was because I decided to leave.
I shivered when a howl reached my ears, "I didn't understand," I turned my attention to him.
He plucked his gaze from the door to me. His fingers dug softly. His hot breath brushed my face as he leaned in. I closed my eyes and his lips touched mine. They were tender and hot against mine.
' He's kind of hot.. no doubt. '
A lazy smile was dancing over his lips, matching mine when I opened my eyes. Swiftly he spun, slightly up in the air and he landed in a beautiful black wolf, pure black, shining, his eyes are gorgeous in wolf-form, too. I have seen only Alphas with the same eye colours. Strange! Perhaps they hold more power and rule their community. I don't know.
He came up to my waist, and looked like he weighed a ton. I sat down on the floor. A howl rocketed up his throat. It was so loud I held myself covering my ears. But I didn't want to offend him. Several howls came in return from outside of the door.
His eyes never left me. He darted toward me. He started sniffing my hair. I laughed, "I think. It's your favourite thing to do."
He gave a soft woof.
"So I guess. You can understand me. Miracle!" I laughed again.
I ran my fingers through his thick fur. His head rested on my shoulder. I curled my arms around him. I had hugged him before.
'I haven't felt this kind of peace. Only he can bring this into me.'
I pushed myself back. I couldn't leave the chance to run my fingers in his fur again, "I should open the door for you."
He made a soft sound through his throat. I couldn't understand.
"Would that we could talk?" I tapped my index finger over my temple, "Talk in mind. It's a matter of a thing, right?" I walked over and pulled over the door.
I gasped when I saw six werewolves outside of the door, playing, chasing each other, one tackling the other on the ground.
Their heads turned to me. I gulped. ' They won't harm me,' I reminded myself and smiled.
Dastien darted past, he bared his teeth, growling.
I glanced at them closely, "Alessandro, Daniel! It's you." I recognized them from their eyes as they flashed before turning to amber again. I spotted Drake among them. He was a beautiful werewolf with rare eyes, "Hi, Drake, Jasper, Carlos...." I couldn't recognize the last werewolf. I looked in his icy eyes, "Edward, if I'm not wrong. Good morning, gentlemen. See you soon." I waved my hand and looked at Dastien-werewolf.
He started sniffing my belly. I jumped back feeling the tickles. I giggled, He tilted his head to the side, looking up at me, his eyes glowed amber and then back to fire. He made a sound. I couldn't decipher. I closed the door behind me. I heard them howl together.
' I still need to know a lot of things. They're going to conquer the world. '
