Picking up her handbag from the couch, Mia proceeded to the master bedroom. She couldn't help but smile as she took in her surroundings. The people in charge of the renovations did a great job. She could hardly recognize the room but she loved all of the changes.
The last time she was here, the room looked more masculine but with the renovations done, it gave more of a couples room vibe.
"I've got the most caring man." Mia said with a small smile on her face the moment she sighted a gift bag on the bed."
Placing her handbag on the sofa, Mia made her way to the bed. She got comfortable on the bed and took out what was in the small gift bag. It turned out to be a pair of matching bracelets. It had some words engraved on them. She couldn't tell what it was because it was written in Greek language. The jewelry was so damn gorgeous that Mia couldn't resist wearing it. She couldn't help but smile as she stared at the item on her wrist. It was truly one of a kind.
Putting the item back in the gift bag, Mia took off her shoes, then proceeded to the bathroom for a shower. She smiled when she noticed all the feminine products Colton got her. From shampoo to hair dryer to body wash and all other bathroom essentials and toiletries. They were all arranged in the cabinet. He had asked her for the brand she loved when they were in Sicily.
Mia undressed, got into the shower, and did her business. She was out in no time and she made her way into the adjoined closet in search of something to wear.
The closet was big. Colton had his corner and so did she. She could see the unpacked boxes by her side of the closet. They were part of the things that were brought from her apartment.
Apparently, Mia didn't have much to bring except her personal belongings. She also decided to give out her furniture in her old apartment.
Confused as to what to wear, Mia put on clean panties, then went over to Colton's side of the closet to borrow one of his T-shirts.
After getting dressed, she went back to her side of the closet and started unpacking. Mia was halfway through when she realized it was almost 6:40 pm. She decided to take a break and go start dinner since Colton would be arriving anytime soon.

"Someone is in such a hurry to go home." Caleb teased the moment they both walked out of the conference room on Colton's floor. He and Caleb just finished a zoom meeting with some of their partners from other countries.
"You have no idea," Colton mumbled, taking a glance at his wristwatch. It was ten minutes past 7 pm.
"So I guess you won't be staying late at work anymore?"
"Yup! While other staff close at 5, I will stay back for an hour or two. I can't keep Mia waiting at home. She's going to be bored without me. Besides, I tend to miss her so much lately."
"Someone is being clingy!" Caleb smirked.
Colton smiled. "Not ashamed about that. I'm so possessive over my woman."
"Anyways, I'm happy that you have Mia and that you're taking it slow with work. You deserve to be happy, Colt." He patted Colton on the back.
They both stopped in their tracks. "Thanks, buddy. Having Mia in my life just sort of makes me feel complete. It used to be work for me but not anymore. She made me realize that there's more to life than burying myself with work." Colton sighed. "She's everything I want in a woman. I would have probably died of jealousy if she belonged to another man. I can't wait to officially tie the knot with her."
"Then you better do that on time before I steal her away from you," Caleb said in full confidence, running his hand over his beard area, reminding Colton that he was a playboy who girls are dying to be with.
"Stay the hell away from my woman if you love yourself!" Colton glared at his younger brother.
"And if I don't?" Caleb teased.
"Don't dare me, Caleb!" He warned.
Caleb laughed. "I was only pulling your legs. I know better not to try shit with your Girl. Besides, it would just be a waste of time trying to woo her because she only got eyes for you. But really, when do you plan to propose to her? You have the ring already. Don't you?" Caleb smirked.
"Have you been stalking me?" Colton looked at his brother suspiciously.
"You look like someone that can't wait to marry Mia so I just guessed right. As a romance expert, feel free to call on me if you need any help in planning the proposal."
Colton rolled his eyes at Caleb at the mention of being a 'Romance expert'
"It's true that I can't wait to marry her but at the same time, I don't want to rush it. A lot has happened and I don't want to scare her away."
"You sure?" Caleb arched his brow. "You seem like you're scared of asking her to marry you. Are you afraid she's going to say No?"
"I hate you, dude," Colton mumbled, walking out on his younger brother.
Caleb chuckled, going after Colt. "There's nothing to be afraid of, Bro. She loves you already. Just pop the fucking question. I can't wait for her to be my sister-in-law." Colton didn't look at or respond to Caleb. He just kept going in the direction of his office.
"Colt, there's this hot girl I'm dating right now. It will be good if I make her my date for your wedding. She will look good by my side in those wedding pictures. But she can only be my date if you do your wedding on time."
Colton rolled his eyes, wondering how unlucky he was to have a pest for a younger brother.

After what felt like a very long ride, Colton arrived at the penthouse. Seeing that Mia wasn't in the living room, he went in search of her.
He saw her setting up the dining table but that was not what got his attention. He swallowed painfully upon taking in her appearance. She was putting on his shirt which was a turn-on for him.
"Heyyy!" She smiled when she saw Colton approach her.
The moment he got to where she was, his arms possessively went around her waist and he placed a long kiss on her shoulder.
Mia smiled. She turned around to face him, wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
"You look so fucking sexy" Colton whispered. Mia could see the desire in his eyes.
She blushed. "Stop flattering me."
"I'm being honest. My shirt looks really good on you."
"Thank you! I guess I won't be returning this one. It's really comfy." She smiled, looking down at the shirt she was wearing. It was a bit big but she didn't mind and it stopped right below her butt."
"Consider it yours!" He placed a kiss on her lips.
"So, you like your new home?"
Mia nodded instantly. "I love the renovations, I love our portraits, thanks for the roses and also for the matching bracelets. It was truly one of a kind and I don't think I've ever told you this but I love receiving handwritten notes from you."
Colton smiled, slightly bruising her cheek with his fingers. "You're welcome, love. I'm glad you love everything and don't worry, you will be receiving more handwritten notes from me."
"The bracelets are actually from Greece. They arrived this morning. My Grandfather sent them for us."
"Ohhh" Mia nodded. "No wonder why it had some engraved words in Greek."
Colton nodded. "'Together forever in good strength and happiness.' That's what is written on both. My grandparents said they prayed on the bracelets so we should wear them often."
"They are so sweet. I can't wait to meet them."
Colt smiled. "They can't wait to meet you too. Don't worry, we will be visiting Greece soon."
"I look forward to it." Mia smiled. "You want to go take a shower before dinner?"
"I wasn't expecting a home-cooked meal but thank you." He placed a kiss on her forehead.
"You're welcome, babes. You did a really good job by stocking up the kitchen. I saw some grilled chicken in the fridge, warmed it and I made rice with salad."
"Perfect." He stole a kiss from her. "Simeon helped out. I told him to fill the kitchen with foodstuff and I also told him to help us get a chef."
"A chef?" Mia mumbled.
"This is your home, you're the woman of the house, you can cook whenever you want and when you're tired or you don't just feel like cooking, the chef can always step in. I don't want you to stress yourself."
Mia nodded.
"I don't want the food to get cold. You want to take a shower first?" She asked him.
Colton nodded. "I'll be back before you know it." Kissing her, he exited the dining room.
