"If only you allowed me to send some thugs to beat the shit out of her, she wouldn't have the guts to say nasty things in front of the judge about my brother! God, I feel like strangling the shit out of her. She's nothing but a devilish beast." Caleb said, walking up and down Colton's office, running his fingers through his messy hair at intervals.
Colton was sitting on the chair behind his desk, massaging his temple. It was okay to say today was one of the worst days of his life. He didn't have a good sleep because of the fight he had with the person he loved most in the world, he woke up late with a killer headache, managed to come to the office and then BOOM, discovered that Natasha had created another Scandal.
His lawyer, Zach, came over to the office. They both discussed and made some necessary calls. Colton had them invite a few media people who were currently setting up in the largest conference room in the building as he would be giving his statement soon.
Colton heaved a big sigh, running a hand over his face. "Natasha thinks she's smart. She thinks she can ruin my reputation. With what she had done, She had no idea that she just ruined herself and her family."
"She's so stupid. She has always been and she is the most foolish person I ever know. She legit added Defamation to her list of offenses. Among all the people she could mess with, She chose you? Does she think she can tarnish the image of the Royal Family and get away with it? For fucks sake, if not for us and the help we rendered to her Father's company, She and her family would be out on the streets begging for their daily bread. Look, Colt, for what that Bitch did, You must demand 100 million dollars for damages. I'll tell Zach too. This would be a lesson to her and any other fucking person that is thinking of messing with us. Nobody messes with my brother and gets away with it!"
"I even hate the fact that stupid people on social media are taking her side. Like, what the fuck? They don't know the full story, they haven't heard from you and they are quick to judge and say nasty things about us and our company." Caleb said.
"Don't tell me you've been stalking social media for people's thoughts? You know I don't care what people say or think about me. I'm a man of dignity and I believe that the truth will always prevail. The moment Zach got here, we had a zoom meeting with our partners and I explained everything to them. I talked to managers of the hotels and restaurants to know how the atmosphere is over there and I'm told there's a rush. Hotels are booked and restaurants are bubbling with people coming in and going out. I don't know if they really need our services or they are just there to see if they can get any info about the situation. I called a partner at the real estate company too and he confirmed that everything is going fine. What I'm trying to say is that Natasha's lies haven't affected us and it will never because we Royals are good people. We even extended help to Natty's family when they were in need. Just like Mum usually says, GOD comes through for good people."
"True, we can demand damages but I'm sure as hell that they won't be able to raise a hundred million dollars even though they sell off their company. Besides, you know Mom and Dad are the kindest people on earth. They wouldn't want to accept such money." Colton said.
"Fuck Mom and Dad's, kind heart. It's you who's humiliated here. We will demand damages. I know we don't need the money but we will give it to the poor. We will go to the poorest countries in the world and do the needful. We will build hospitals for them, provide a good water supply, whatever is it that they need. I don't care if the McGregor family has up to a hundred million dollars. If they have to result in selling their shitty company, let them sell it and give us the money. We will give it to those who need them." Caleb said. He has never been one to tolerate disrespect to his family. Most especially his siblings.
"Are you forgetting that Natty's parents are Mom and Dad's childhood friends?" Colton said.
"TO HELL WITH THEIR FRIENDSHIP. Why didn't stupid Natasha think of that before she went about, spreading lies? Dude, I'm pained because she did this to you. Honestly, you don't fucking deserve all of this bull shit! You're the most selfless person I know. Despite all the things Natty has done, you are not even angry as I expect you to be!"
"We all know how hard our family works. Especially you Colton, you work so much that sometimes I fear that you will work yourself to death. So many tears, sweat, blood, and stress to build our family name and reputation and some slut thinks she can ruin it? The judge better sentence her to death or I'll break into the prison and strangle her with my bare hands."
"And then you'll be charged for murder too?" Colton arched his brow.
Caleb hissed. "That's not the point. The point is that that Bitch will be dead by then."
Colton exhaled. "Please calm down, Caleb. I appreciate your concern. I know you're very angry about everything. Trust me, I'm angry too. Maybe I just have a bad way of showing it and my head hurts like hell."
"Even though we don't demand damages, I'm sure we will be awarded damages. And I don't think she will be sentenced to death because no life was lost in all of these. The most Zach said she would be given is life imprisonment."
"And please, Caleb. Don't do anything that will make you get arrested. Don't get into trouble because of Natasha. She's not worth it. I know you want justice for me and for us and I promise you that justice will be served."
Caleb exhaled. He went to the bar area in Colton's office and poured himself a glass of wine which he gulped down immediately.
"Mom called me earlier. She said She and Dad have been trying to get a hold of you. I was able to calm them down and I let them know you would return their call as soon as possible. They wanted to come over but I told them not to." Caleb said.
"I had to turn off my phone. It wouldn't stop ringing. I'll call them after the press conference. I want you to be there too when I talk to them."
"Sure, I'm not leaving your sight," Caleb said protectively.
Soon enough, Colton's new Secretary, Daminta, came to inform him that it was time for the press conference. Caleb and Colt headed to the conference room.
