When it was almost time for their lunch date, the duo dressed up and took their leave. Colton was so damn serious about inspecting Mia's outfit before they stepped out. Well, he made things easier for them by picking out her outfit. He didn't want her to be gawked at by anyone.
By the time they arrived at the said restaurant, Theodore and Sammie were already there. Upon seeing them approach the table. The duo rose to their feet to welcome them.
"Oh my God, Colt. You didn't tell me she was so fucking Gorgeous." Sammie said.
"Hi, love. I'm Samantha but you can call me Sammie. It's so nice to finally meet you, sweetheart." Before Mia knew it, Sammie pulled her into a warm hug. She smiled, returning the hug. "It's nice to finally meet you too, Sammie. I'm Mia."
"How did Colt manage to tame such a beauty?" Sammie said, pulling away from the hug. "You look very gorgeous in the dress by the way!"
Mia smiled. She was happy that Sammie accepted her with open arms. The dress she was wearing was part of the thousand-dollar dresses Colt gave her for her birthday.
"Thank you, Sammie. You look very beautiful too."
"Don't I deserve hugs and praises too? Or you're not happy to see me? I can always go back to my vacation home with my girl." Colton teased.
Sammie rolled her eyes, turning her attention to Colton. "You dare not. You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this lunch date. She hugged Colt. "It's good to see you again, sweetheart!"
While Sammie hugged Colt and made small talk, Theodore introduced himself to Mia.
"I'm Theodore. It's good to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you."
Mia smiled. "It's good to meet you too, Theo." They hugged.
"Thank you for loving my best friend the way you do. He's been through a lot and I'm glad that he has you."
"I'm happy to have him in my life too. And thank you for being an amazing friend to him." Mia said.
The four friends sat down. They occupied a four-man table in one of the best restaurants in Italy. A waiter came over, served them drinks, and then they ordered food.
Sammie and Theo couldn't stop looking at Colt and Mia as they interacted with smiles on their faces while going over the menu. At some point Colt kissed her cheek too, not caring that Sammie and Theo were there and were probably watching.
Once the waiter left with the menu list, Sammie intertwined her hands with Theo and spoke. "I feel blessed to witness this."
Sammie and Theo were seated beside each other and opposite them were Mia and Colt.
Colt couldn't help but think that Sammie's statement was directed at him so he arched his brow.
"I've always wondered what it would be like seeing you in love and damn, it's such a beautiful sight to behold."
Mia looked at Colt, Chuckling.
"Sammie!" Colton groaned.
Sammie nudged her boo. "Isn't it? Or have you ever seen your best friend this way?" She directed at Theodore.
"No, babe. It's so refreshing seeing this side of him. The Colt I know hardly smiles but he has not stopped smiling since he got here."
"Okay. You all are just exaggerating!" Colt blushed.
"Come on, buddy. You know we are telling the truth. You're always tense, short with your answers in conversation, looking bored, and burying yourself with work. But right now, you look really relaxed, refreshed and so in love."
"I agree!" Theo chipped him. "All thanks to Mia. No doubt. No matter how hard I tried, Colt never went on vacation with me."
"You all should stop embarrassing me in front of my Girl," Colt said.
Mia chuckled. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about, love." She placed a kiss on his lips. She was actually enjoying the conversation.
"Ohhhhhhh." Sammie chuckled, reaching for her glass of sparkling wine. Theodore couldn't help but smile too.
"He has told you about how we met, right?" Sammie said, placing the glass cup on the table.
Mia nodded.
"Don't you dare bring up that conversation, Sammie," Colt threatened.
"Oh, because you've convinced her that I was at fault?"
"Sorry to say, sweetheart, your man is a bit of a liar here. He caused that accident, not me." She said to Mia who couldn't help herself with her laughter.
"I apologize on behalf of both of them. They were both wrong and because of their egos, they have refused to admit their wrong." Theo chipped in.
"Really?" Sammie turned to Theo. " For that, You're sleeping on the couch tonight. And no sex for you till the end of the week."
Mia and Colton burst into a peal of heartfelt laughter.
"Sammie!" Theodore groaned.
"Don't you dare touch me!" She said with gritted teeth and slapped away his hand when he started sneaking his hand under her dress.
Theodore leaned closer to his girlfriend, whispered something in her ear and within a twinkle of an eye, the duo were sharing a kiss.
Colton chuckled and turned to Mia. "See why I told you that Sammie is a psycho in a good way." He whispered to her. Heaven knows he would be dead if Sammie heard what he just said.
Mia chuckled. "Indeed."
"Sorry about that. It's just so hard to stay mad at him." Sammie confessed.
"It's okay. You both are amazing." Mia said. Her hand was still intertwined with Colton's own.
"I honestly don't know who was at fault that day but there's no way I'm apologizing if your egoistic boyfriend doesn't apologize first." Sammie winked at Colton who rolled his eyes at her.
"Well, Mia, the point is, if we didn't bump into each other that day, I would have never known this amazing man." She kissed Theo on the cheek. "And since then, we've been trying to pair Colt with someone. I felt it's the least we could do since I got to meet the love of my life through him. You honestly had no idea how happy I was when I heard you and him met on my birthday. If this isn't destiny, then I don't know what to call it."
Mia nodded in approval. It was definitely destiny.
"In all, I'm so glad to meet you. We care so much about Colton and from the bottom of my heart I'm thrilled that he has you. Please take good care of him. And if he ever hurts you in any way, just let me know. I'm going to cut off his balls."
"Language, woman!" Colton warned.
Theo and Mia chuckled.
"Oh, just break her heart first and you will be saying goodbye to your balls."
Colton exhaled. "Mia means so much to me, Sammie. We've come a long way and I would be so stupid to do anything to hurt her."
"Good to hear. I like her already and I think she's perfect for you. Don't you think so, babe?" She said to Theo.
Theo nodded. "They are perfect for each other."
"See! Theo believes so too. Continue to take great care of Mia and I wish you both lots of love and happiness." Sammie said.
"Welcome to the family, sweetheart." She went over to Mia and engulfed Mia in a hug.
"Thank you, Sammie. This means so much to me. I was pretty nervous about coming here but that's not the case anymore. Thank you for being so kind to me."
"You've got nothing to thank me for, dear. You are Colton's girl which means you mean a lot to Theo and me. You can always count on us. We promise to always have your back."
Theo and Colton had proud smiles on their faces as their women interacted with each other. There and then, they considered themselves blessed to have such amazing women in their lives.
Soon enough, the waiter brought their food, then they all dug in.
