"Are you for real?" Vicky said after a while, her lips curving into a big smile.
Colton nodded.
"Oh my God. Double bundles of joy. This is great news. Congratulations my love." She embraced Colton in a hug.
"Thanks, Mom." He smiled, returning her hug.
"So, you're going to love them more than me. Aren't you?" Colt teased.
"Don't tell me you're already jealous of those innocent humans?" Victoria smiled, looking at her Son intently.
"I don't know. Should I be?" He grinned.
"Of course, not. There's enough space for everyone in my heart. You're my first child, Colton. We've been through so much together. Birthing you birthed a new part of me and never for once have I regretted having you as my son. You never fail in making me a proud mom."
"I'll take that as a compliment. Though I was pulling your legs with regards to loving the twins more. I love you, Mom." He hugged her once more.
"I know you were joking. I just wanted to reassure you about how much I love you. You'll always be very special to me, my love." She kissed his cheek.
Once Mother and Son were done having their moments, Victoria approached Mia with a proud smile on her face.
"Congratulations, my darling." She hugged Mia.
"Thanks, Mom." Mia smiled, returning the hug.
Once they pulled away, Vicky sat opposite Mia on the bed, intertwining her hand with Mia's own.
"The patient dog definitely eats the fattest bone. I've wanted a grandkid for so long. It got to a point that I gave up because my sons didn't look like people that would eventually settle down. But look, I got two Grandbabies on the way! I'm thrilled." Vicky smiled. "Colton's grandparents will be so happy. Trust me, they will love you more." Vicky said.
Mia blushed.
Giving her hand a light squeeze, Vicky spoke. "You'll do just fine, my love. And just as I've said before, I'm only a call away if you need anything. I don't mind babysitting them all day when they are born. I'll always be available to help out. You're not in this alone."
"Thanks, Mom." She smiled.
"May I have your permission to start shopping for them? I promise not to go overboard." The excitement on Victoria's face made Mia's heart swell with so much pride.
"Mom!" Colton groaned.
"He banned me from getting anything for my grandchild the day you revealed the pregnancy," Vicky spoke.
"Because you would go overboard, Mom. I didn't want you to scare Mia away. I know how much you spoil other people's children."
Colton turned his attention to Mia. "Our home will be mistaken for a baby boutique/ gift shop when she's done."
Mia chuckled softly.
"Can't you trust me? I already promised not to go overboard!" Vicky playfully glared at Colton.
Mia gestured for her husband to come close to them and he did, taking a seat beside Mia. "She already promised not to go overboard. Please let her have her Grandma moment." She kissed his lips.
Vicky playfully rolled her eyes at the loving duo.
"I'm not against my mom getting anything for our children. She could buy the whole world for all I care. I've just been cautioning her because I don't want her to scare you away. So if it's fine by you, it's fine by me."
Victoria smiled, making a mental note to shop the most precious and gorgeous items for her Grandbabies.
Vicky talked to both of her children for a while after which she took her leave.

Colton slept for almost two hours during Mia's long afternoon nap. He was surprised when he woke up and saw that she was still asleep. So he made use of that precious time and made some calls. Simeon also sent someone over to deliver lunch.
Once Mia woke up, Richard came to check up on her, after which She and Colton had a late lunch.
And later in the evening, their close friends came through. Theo and Sammie were the first to arrive, then Hailey and Caleb who looked tired as hell.
"Hi Little brother," Colton smiled the moment Caleb walked in. All attention was on him. He had discarded his jacket. His shirt was rolled up to his sleeves and he had the first few buttons undone. His hair was messy too.
"How do you manage to do this every day?" Caleb directed to his brother as he came to a halt a couple of steps away from the bed.
Colton chuckled. "What happened? This is not the first time you're in charge."
"I know. Today was just hectic. Been from one meeting to another and on the phone for a long time, talking business and negotiating. For the first time in a very long time, I'll have to take work home which also means no club for me tonight." Everyone chuckled because of the expression on Caleb's face.
"What happened to being a role model to your nieces and nephews?" Colton said with a small smile on his face.
"Sure, you know I don't go back on my word. I'll do anything for those little cuties."
"Hi, Sis." He approached Mia and hugged her.
"Thanks for covering up for Colton at work so he could take care of us." She returned his hug.
"No need to thank me. It's my duty to do so. Getting better?" He smiled at Mia.
She nodded.
Caleb greeted everyone else in the room including Colton, and then it got to Hailey. She was actually receiving a call on the far-end corner of the room when he walked in so he approached her when she was done. He hugged her and kissed her left cheek. Mia didn't fail to notice the blush on her best friend's cheek. She exchanged a glance with Colton who shrugged.
As time went on, the ladies gathered around Mia to discuss. The men decided to give the women some privacy so they occupied the reception area outside the suite.
"Any news from Chad?" Theo asked Colt.
"Yes, he called this afternoon, when Mia was asleep. They had gotten a hold of Tristan. I would have loved for him to be tortured before going to jail but that's close to impossible since the police are involved."
"So he's in police custody right now?" Caleb asked.
Colton nodded. "I would have loved to visit him but I don't want to leave Mia's side. She only knows the accident was planned. She has no idea who planned it. I need to know why that bastard did what he did."
"I can go see him if you want." Theodore offered.
"That's not necessary. You wouldn't handle him the way I would. Not like I would touch him or anything but he wouldn't open up to you. Chad said he's more like his brother, Christoph."
"But my lawyer is handling everything. I want nothing but for him to be imprisoned for life."
"I'm sure he will be. He deserves the worst of all punishments and please get a restraining order against all of Christoph's family and future generations if possible. They all seem to be psychos." Caleb suggested.
"I agree!" Theo chipped in.
Colton nodded, making a mental note to call his lawyer later.
"What's going on with you and Hailey?" Colton directed at his younger brother.
"What do you mean what's going on between us?"
"Dude, the way you couldn't stop stealing glances at her in there. It was really obvious!" Theodore voiced out.
"I like her!" Caleb said confidently.
"I knew it!" Colton cursed.
"Cale! You're aware she and her boyfriend are going through a rough patch." Theo voiced out.
"What has that got to do with me pursuing the girl I like?"
"Caleb, Enoch is our friend and I can promise you he has not been himself since the day Hailey broke up with him. We are hoping they will get back together. You being in the picture is going to make things complicated." Theo said.
"I support Theodore! The last thing Hailey needs right now is someone playing with her feelings. You don't do relationships, remember?" Colton said.
Caleb sighed, tucking his hands in the pocket. "She's over Enoch and that has nothing to do with me. That dude had his chance and he fucked it up. I don't do relationships doesn't mean I never will."
"I collected Hailey's number on your engagement. I could have made a move but I respected whatever was between her and Enoch. It's my time to make a move on the woman that I couldn't stop thinking about since the night of your engagement and I'm not going to back out for any reason."
Colton sighed. "How pure are your feelings and your intentions towards her? You think she would want to be with you despite you all's age gap?. Hailey is very special to Mia. Please stay away from her if you have no good intentions."
Caleb rolled his eyes. She's just two years older than I am and I don't think age should ever be a barrier between two people. I'm attracted to her and there's no harm in wanting to know her more. I know I'm a player but can you both trust me on this?" He pleaded.
