Getting up from where She was sitting, Mia ended the call. There was no TV in her office so she went to the nearest place where the TV was and that was the break room. She was grateful that no one was there. She turned on the TV and lo and behold every fucking news channel had the same headline.
COLTON ROYAL ALLEGED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, RAPE & KIDNAPPING
Mia had to hold on to the table beside her because her legs were almost giving up. Her brain was also fuzzy. She had no idea what the hell was going on. As far as she knew, her man didn't rape anybody. It was Colton who was raped.
The reporter on the news stated as follows: "Famous influencer and Billionaire's daughter, Natasha McGregor was sued by Colton Royal for several offenses amongst which rape was one of them. They appeared in court this morning and Natasha McGregor denied all those claims. She burst into tears saying she never raped anyone. Instead, She said Colton Royal, the heir to the Royal Empire, was the psycho.
She confessed that Colton was a violent man and that's why their relationship didn't last in the past. He would always beat her up at every given opportunity after being high on drugs and other substances.
Natasha also confessed that another reason why she left Colton Royal was that he was a beast in bed. He had crazy BDSM fantasies and all the equipment which he would always try on her. She couldn't bear it any longer so she broke up with him.
She said since then, Colton had always wanted her back but she refused. He drugged and kidnapped her on Friday, took her to his penthouse, and had his way with her.
To the court's surprise, Miss Natasha McGregor tendered her evidence in court. A video where Colton Royal slapped her and almost strangled her to death. Unfortunately, the evidence is banned from being seen by the public.
Natasha also confessed about Colton being involved in kidnapping and treating people as slaves. She testified that Colton has had an obsession with a girl lately but the girl was in a relationship and to destroy the relationship, He kidnapped the girl's boyfriend, beat him up, then handed him over to the police for offenses he didn't commit.
In all, the 32-year-old made it known that Colton Royal was not the type of person the public portrayed him to be. Instead, he was a very brutal and wicked individual.
This issue is a very sensitive one. It's trending on all social media across the states. Based on people's posts, Natasha seemed to have gained an upper hand in the eyes of the public. I mean, this is a shock to us all because everyone adores Colton Royal, including myself. As of now, there has been no statement from Colton. He wasn't in court this morning but his lawyer promised that all of Miss Natasha's allegations were false. But we hope Mr. Royal will come out soon to shed more light on the situation."
Mia didn't know that tears were rolling down her cheeks until now. She unlocked her phone, dialed Colton but his number didn't go through. She dialed him again but no positive response.
Mia went ahead and called Hailey who picked up immediately.
"Hailey, that Bitch is a goddamn liar. All she said were lies. Colton would never do that. He's not everything that she claimed that he is. My baby is a good man. He doesn't deserve all this embarrassment. Colt would never hurt anyone. That bitch went too far this time. She literally tampered with Colton's reputation all because he chose me over her. This is so unfair. I tried calling Colton but his number is not going through." Mia cried.
"Babe, please calm down. I know Colton is innocent. And I'm sure his team is doing something about it. He will have a press conference soon I guess, because this news has gone beyond America. Natasha tampered with the wrong set of people. It's not only Colton's reputation that is at stake here but the reputation of the whole ROYAL family. I won't be surprised if his grandparents in Greece have heard the news."
Mia sniffed. "His Grandfather mustn't know. Hearing something like this can send him to an early grave. The old man has a weak heart. Colton adores his Grandfather so much. I know he will never forgive himself if anything were to happen to his GrandDad."
"I wish his number would go through so I can hear from him. I want to know how he's doing. I miss him, I want to be there for him. I want to hug him and assure him that everything is going to be alright. God, I feel like a fool for not reaching out to him last night." She cried.
"You didn't? Girl, but you promised that you would." Hailey whispered.
"I know. But my Ego wouldn't let me. Do you think I should go see him in his office or penthouse?"
"I don't think that's a good idea, Mia. I'm sure the tension will be high over there at the headquarters. I won't be surprised too if his penthouse is surrounded by paparazzi."
"I can't just sit here and not do anything!" Mia cried. "He's in all of this mess because of me."
"Please don't cry, Mia. Everything will be Fine. I'm sure you will hear from him soon."
"Do you think Natasha was referring to you? I mean, the reporter mentioned that Colt kidnapped a certain boyfriend, tortured him, then handed him to the police. You said you've not heard from Crishtoph since he broke up with you. Do you think Colt dealt with him?"
"I have no idea, Hailey. Colton and I never really discussed Christoph. In fact, I don't think he mentioned his name until yesterday when we argued. I'll never trust what Natasha says. She's evil and even though Colton dealt with Christoph, I can say he deserved it. All I know is that Colton is not the bad guy here. God, I feel so useless not being able to do anything for Colt."
"You still don't have his Siblings' number. Do you?"
Mia shook her head. "No. I only have Sammie's number. She's Theodore's girlfriend. Theo is Colton's best friend. We met in Sicily. I don't know if they are back in New York because they were on vacation too. But I'll still drop a message for Sammie just in case."
"Please do. Is there a way you can take the rest of the day off? Or you're sure you will be able to concentrate on work?" Hailey asked.
"I don't think I would be able to concentrate and also, I just came back from emergency leave. I have so much to do. I don't want my Boss to think I don't take my work seriously."
Hailey sighed. "Okay. Please stay strong for Colton. Don't go to the web for any misleading information. I'm sure Colt will reach out to you. You can try Sammie too. Let me know if anything comes up and please, cry no more."
"I'll try. Thank you, Hail." She sniffed, reaching for some tissue paper on the table.
