Four weeks later!
"I'm going to strangle Sammie with my bare hands when I see her," Colton mumbled, connecting the glass of whiskey to his lips.
Theodore laughed. "Calm down dude, you will see your Girl soon." He assured.
Placing the glass cup on the table in between them, he spoke. "I hate myself for imposing that they have a Girls day out or night out. But really, there's nothing bad in wanting Mia to spend some quality time with her friends but your strong-headed woman had the nerve to turn the night out to a weekend vacation."
Theodore chuckled. "Are you this vexed because you've been sex-deprived for three days? Hey, I miss my woman too!!!" Theo said while Colton rolled his eyes.
"Besides, you gave Mia the permission to go. You could have just said NO."
"How would I have said NO? You know how manipulative Sammie can be. Not only did she order me to let go of Mia, but She also made me book the best hotel for them in Paris and she lured me into buying their first-class plane tickets since they refused to go with the jet. But that's not the point. Our women deserve the world and I don't mind spending so much on them. But why did she have to take away Mia's phone?"
"The last time I talked to my Girl was on Thursday night when she called and said they arrived safely. And then Sammie collected the phone and told me she would be ceasing Mia and Hailey's phone and they would see us on Sunday evening when they return to New York."
"That's pure wickedness! Sammie knows how much I'm attached to Mia. I haven't seen or talked to my woman since Thursday evening and you expect me not to freak out?"
"You have no idea how I've been dying for Sunday to come. Here we are at the airport, only to hear there was a delay and that we have to wait two hours more. Like hell will I allow Mia to leave my sight again!" Colton said, then gulped down the remaining whiskey in his glass cup.
Theo chuckled. "You're not the only one who misses your babe. I miss my fiancée too. The last time I heard from her was Thursday night too and then the text they sent us earlier today when they were about to board the plane."
"I guess they decided to do away with their phones because they know we would be disturbing them. This is the most that Sammie and I have gone without seeing or talking to each other. Even if we fight, we settle in the next few hours. It's so hard to stay mad at each other."
Colton sighed, massaging his temple. "These three days felt like HELL! I was literally looking at the clock every hour. And for some weird reason, it seemed the time was even moving slower than usual. I'm never letting Mia go anywhere without me again."
Theodore chuckled. "What if Mia wants to go on another vacation with Hailey and Sammie?"
"Then we will go with them!" He answered almost immediately.
"I mean a Girls' time vacation." Theo clarified.
Colton shook his head. "No more Girls' time Vacation. They can always hang out in New York City. I won't be consenting to anything outside of New York."
"I feel Sammie did this to me on purpose to frustrate me. No doubt she won. I'm going to kick her ass when I see her."
"I might as well kick Mia's ass too," Theo mumbled. "Sounds interesting right?"
Colton glared at his best friend, earning a chuckle from Theo.
He sighed, running a hand over his face. "I'm sorry for acting like a brat. I just miss Mia so much."
"I know." Theo smiled. "Don't worry, they will be with us soon. It's painful that we spent three days without talking to them or seeing them but sometimes, I think trips like these are healthy. Just another means to remind us of how much our partners mean to us. I'm sure they had fun and I'm very certain that they miss us too."
Colton nodded. He and Theodore got to the airport almost two hours ago. Since they were told they would have to wait a while since the plane coming from Paris was delayed, they went over to the VIP waiting room.
"I've been wanting to ask. Now that Natasha is in jail and would be there for most of her life, how are her parents holding up? I mean, they are very close to your parents."
"I'm sure Uncle Troy and Aunt Mary are heartbroken but they have no choice but to live with it. Natty is the dumb one who decided to make the issue public. She also went as far as sending people to kill Rebecca so Rebecca wouldn't expose her."
"Her actions have no doubt affected her family's image. People no longer want to do business with them. I don't think my parents are in contact with them either. Not that they now despise their childhood friends because of what happened. The point is, even Uncle Troy and Aunt Mary are ashamed to mingle with friends including my parents. It's so unfortunate that Natasha brought so much shame to them. If only they didn't spoil her while raising her."
Theodore nodded in agreement. "So when do you plan on asking Mia to marry you? It's been years since you bought the ring."
Colton sighed.
Theo frowned. "What are you afraid of?"
"I'm not afraid." He whispered, avoiding looking into his best friend's eyes.
"You sure? Your reaction is telling me otherwise."
"Mia loves you so I think she's going to say Yes. Besides, you guys live together now so what else could be stopping you?"
Colton shrugged. "I'm trying to take it slow but truth be told, I'm a bit nervous about it."
Theodore chuckled. "Where did your confidence go?"
Colt sighed. "It's not that I'm chickening out. We have forever to go so there's still plenty of time to get married. Let's just say I'm waiting for the right time."
Theodore nodded. "All the best, bro. I hope the right time comes soon. It will be a dream come true to watch you marry the love of your life." He winked.
"Between you and Caleb, I don't know who is more of a pest."
Theodore laughed. "It's definitely not me."
