Darian's POV
"So you finally found out?" He asked me with a smirk. "You are right little bro, she was never my mate," he said to me, confirming my suspicions.
"Damn you Richard," I said to him before punching the cage once again and immediately the who palace shook violently.
"You see Darian, I was on the tree that very day when the rogues that were after her told her that they were sent by his mate, and when she asked them who her mate was, they told her Alpha Darian and I didn't need to think twice before knowing that they were talking about you," he said to me but I ignored him and continued punching the cage angrily, all I wanted to do was get to him and teach him a lesson that he won't forget.
"Once I saw her, I knew that was the perfect opportunity to pay you back for you and dad did to me, for denying me my birth right, for making me look like the bad person, and trust me Darian, I succeeded, I portrayed as the bad person you are and I would have marked her if not because of your damn friends who came here looking for her. I wish I did Darian, I couldn't have waited to see the look on your face when you finally discover that I have taken from you the thing that is more precious to you, I couldn't have waited to see you live with the pain for the rest of your life..."
"Shut up!!!!" My voice echoed through the whole palace as the cage shattered to pieces and immediately smoked filled the whole corridor, only what could be seen was our glowing eyes.
"Finally, feels good to be free," Richard said while grinning like a maniac.
"So tell me Richard, did I hear say that you were going to kill me?" He asked me while grinning ear to ear.
"I'm not only going to kill you Richard, but I'm going to make sure you die painfully and miserably," my voice grumbled mixed with that of my wolf and immediately Richard bursted into a round of laughter and the same time he started shifting into his wolf form.
"Come and show me what you got little brother," he said me and without I quickly took my complete wolf form and dashed towards him.
I have heard many times that Lycan were more stronger and faster than Werewolves but as long as I was concerned, that wasn't my business, all wanted to do was hurt Richard in a way he will never forget, whether he was a vampire, Lycan or Wizard I didn't care but what I didn't imagine was that I was no match for him; after effortlessly struggling to secure one strike against him, I found myself flying in the air and crashing on the wall that shattered and crumbled on me.
"What is the problem little bro, thought you said that you were going to kill me, so how come you are flying around like a bat," he asked me while laughing manically.
"Actually Darian, I think you should tell me the names of your friends that attacked my pack because it's because of them that I didn't complete the marking process with your mate," he said to me and immediately I howled angrily while pushing away the the rocks that were on me.
"I mean I was close to marking her, her scent geez, they were amazing,and then came the part when I placed my fangs on my neck, I almost went berserk, the pleasure was intense, I was slowly..."
"Shut up Richard," My voice grumbled, the thoughts of him trying to mark my mate was running me crazy; as I was still fuming in anger, I felt my claws growing more stronger and longer, even though it was painful and agonizing, I could feel a wave of energy running through my veins.
"Argh!!!!" I screamed in agony as my wolf started growing more big than before and to my greatest surprise my fur slowly changed from black to golden including the colour of my eyes.
I could clearly see the shock written all over Richard's face knowing that only Lycans had golden fur and golden eyes when in the wolf form.
"What the hell," Richard muttered in surprise.
"Seems like I just upgraded, never knew that I had mother's gene running through my veins too, thank you for helping me to unlock this new potential of mine," I said to him while grinning ear to ear.
"Shall we?" I asked him before dashing towards him, he was in still in shock till the extent that he didn't even notice me coming, he only realized what was happening when my two huge feet slammed on his chest, which sent him crashing on the wall.
As he was still struggling to get up I dashed towards him giving him a punch that sent crashing on the wall once again, but this time around the wall wasn't too strong to support him, and unfortunately for him too, the wall was facing outside the palace. Once he crashed against it, it crumbled and immediately he fell out from the building, mind you that we were on the second floor.
Without waiting for him to reach the ground, I jumped out too, falling on him and with much anger burning in me, I kept on punching on the air until we made it to the ground.
Once we reached the ground I kept on punching him on the face ignoring how disfigured his face was due to the fact that I wasn't giving him the opportunity to heal. After punching him to my satisfaction, I brought out my long sharp claws ready to finish but I stopped immediately my claws reached his face, I kept staring at him angrily while panting heavily.
"What are you waiting for? Kill me already," he urged me but I remained silent while staring daggers at him.
"Go on, do it," he urged me further but I remained silent while panting heavily.
After some minutes of silence, my claws slowly went in back and without uttering a word to him, I stood up from him and started walking away. It's true that I hated him for what he did to me but he was still my twin brother and it's out question that I take his life and secondly killing him wasn't going to solve my problem, my main problem is finding out which of my rival Alphas took Elena and my pup and saving her before they do something stupid.
