Alpha Benson's Pov
Before going to Alpha Ethan's pack to ask him for help, I had doubted that he would agree to help me out, but I was surprised by the way he agreed to my proposal after I informed him that I know where to find Alpha Darian's mate; all I have to do now is listen to this condition of his and see if it's okay with me.
“So, Alpha Ethan, what is this condition of yours?” I asked him with an inquisitive look.
"If I help you capture Alpha Darian's mate, we will both rule half of his pack together or even take over his whole pack; don't forget, two heads are stronger than one," he said to me, a wicked smirk hovering over his face.
"You are right, my friend, and there is no way I'm going to rule half of his pack alone if we both work together to capture his mate," I said to him, and he nodded positively.
"I'm happy to hear that, Alpha Benson, so tell me, where is this mate of his hiding?" He asked me.
"I heard from a reliable source that she's hiding in Moonlight territory," I said to him, and immediately he widened his eyes in surprise.
"Which Moonlight territory are you talking about? Is it the one that is ruled by a Lycan king?" He asked me with an inquisitive look, and immediately I nodded positively.
"Have you gone crazy, Alpha Benson? We can't just go there and capture her without any valid reason. Mind you, the king of the pack is even more aggressive than Darian, and they are not under the control of the Alpha Council . Going there is just like jumping from the fry pan to fire," he said to me in a terrified tone.
"Come on, Alpha Ethan, why do you always react like a she-wolf? You are a werewolf and an Alpha, so act like one," I scolded him angrily.
"I know that I'm an Alpha, but not in the face of a Lycan. I hope you see how aggressive Alpha Darian is. I have been hearing rumors that his mother was Lycan, so he got Lycan blood from his mother, and that's why he's that aggressive and ruthless," Alpha Ethan said to me, but I rolled my eyes at me.
"I don't know where you heard that rumor from, but I don't care, and that's not the reason why I traveled all the way to your pack," I said to him while feigning to be angry.
"Ok, I'm sorry, Alpha Benson. Do you have any plans because I don't want to engage in anything that will put my life in danger, and just as I told you earlier, I have a family and a pack to take care of?" he said to me, and immediately I nodded.
“Currently, I have a plan,” I said to him confidently.
“Ok, and I’m all ears,” he said to me.
"Currently, we are going to defeat the Lycan king with the help of the witch that is hiding in your pack,"I said to him, and immediately he furrowed his eyebrows at me while feigning to be surprised.
"What are you talking about, Alpha Benson? I don't have any witches in my pack; I chased all of them away when the Alpha Council asked everyone to chase away all the witches in their pack," he said to me while feigning to be sincere, but I chuckled softly before shaking my head in disbelief.
"Are you sure there is no witch in your pack, Alpha Ethan?" I asked him, a cunning smile hovering over his face.
"Okay, there's one, but keep your voice low; don't you know that even the walls have ears?" he said to me in a whisper.
"I'm aware of that, Alpha Ethan, so can I see the witch?" I asked him.
"That will be at night; she doesn't accept visitors in the daytime," he said to me, and I nodded positively.
"I can wait till nightfall; after all, I'm not in a hurry," I said to him, and he nodded positively.
"While waiting, can you explain everything to me in detail because I still haven't gotten a glimpse of what you are planning?" Alpha Ethan said to me with an inquisitive look. With that, I signaled for him to come closer, and once he came closer, I started explaining everything to him.
Elena's POV
After successfully declining to share the same room with Richard, I was finally given one of the unoccupied rooms in the palace, and happily, the room was furnished with everything that I needed. After laying my baby on the bed, I started arranging my belongings in the room.
I was still arranging my belongings when Tricksy Mind linked with me.
"Hello Ana, why are you arranging all your belongings in the room? I hope we aren't going to stay here for long." She asked me through the link.
"Actually, I don't know Tricksy, but in the meantime, this is our new home," I said to her through the link, but I could sense that she wasn't happy.
"What is it, Tricksy? Don't you like it here?" I asked her through the link.
“No,” she replied frankly.
"Why?" I asked her inquisitively.
"Because of the king, I don't like him; he is saying that we are his mates while our mates are in the Wolfeenwood pack," she said to me through the link with an angry tone. With that, I heaved a sigh before sitting down on the bed beside my baby.
"I understand how you feel, Tricksy, but mate, don't love us; he doesn't like..."
"Yes, he does," she interrupted me immediately.
"I can feel it, and it seems like he's around," she said, and immediately I furrowed my brows in surprise.
"What do you mean by mate is around?" I asked her before I started hearing a familiar name screaming Richard's name from outside.
At first,I thought that my ears were playing games on me, but when I approached the door, I immediately recognized the voice—it was Darian's voice.
Once I recognized the voice, my heart skipped immediately; Meanwhile, I could feel Tricksy jubilant in joy.
