Ciara's Pov
It has been over two hours since Darian and his soldiers left for Wolfeenwood pack, if it depended on me, I would have asked him not to go but knowing how stubborn Darian was, asking him not to go would only be a waste of time, for now, the person I'm worried about the most is Elena, I know that all this will be hard on her, getting back with Darian after everything he had done to her in the past, all those past images will always come playing in her head anytime she sees him, only if she could find it in her heart to forgive him and also forget about the past and try to concentrate on the present and also what the future reserves that would be really beneficial for her and also for her child and in addition to that Darian have really changed for the good, he's no more ruthless and fierce like before and that's one of the reasons why I'm always helping him whenever he needs my helps.
With these thoughts running through my mind, I sighed heavily and started heading towards my chamber, where I knew Elena would be with her baby.
On getting to my chamber, I noticed that she was sitting on the wooden chairs, breastfeeding Richard, and she was also lost in her thoughts; she was lost in whatever she was thinking about that she hadn't even noticed when I entered the chamber.
"Are you okay, Elena?" I asked her while placing my hand on her shoulder, and immediately she jolted back to reality.
"What were you thinking about?" I asked her before sitting down on one of the wooden chairs opposite her.
"Nothing," she replied brusquely while adjusting herself so that Richard could lie face-to-face on her lap.
"Or were you thinking about your mate?" I asked her with an inquisitive look.
"No, of course, I wasn't thinking about him; why should I be thinking about him?" She asked me while avoiding my gaze, and immediately I smiled at her.
"You see, Elena, among all the whole gifts that the moon goddess gave to us, the one that I love the most is our ability to know when someone is lying or saying the truth, and the both of us know well that you are lying," I said to her, and immediately she sighed heavily before raising her head up and looking at me.
"Ok, I was thinking about him. He came here this morning and told me that he would be going to our pack to fight against the supreme Alphas in order to recover his pack, but I didn't give him a reply," she said to me while avoiding my gaze.
"Why didn't you give him a reply? Are you still angry at him?" I asked her, and she nodded.
"But I saw the both of you kissing passionately yesterday morning, or didn't you like the way he kissed you?" I asked her, and immediately her cheeks became red as she kept on blushing while avoiding my gaze.
"I'm waiting for a reply, Elena, or isn't he good at kissing? You know you can confide in me; I'm a woman like you," I said to her with a reassuring tone.
"Of course he's good, and that was the first time I have been kissed passionately in such a manner. I didn't even want it to come to an end, but you interrupted us," she said to me while avoiding my gaze, and immediately I smiled at her.
"Ooh, sorry for interrupting your passionate moment," I apologized jokingly, and she smiled at me in return.
"So if you didn't hate the way he kissed you, then why don't you want to forgive him?" I asked her with an inquisitive look.
"I don't know, I'm just confused. There's this part of me that wants to forgive him and forget everything he did to me in the past, and then there's this other part that doesn't want to forgive him, and it always makes me remember all the terrible things he had done to me in the past," she said to me, and I nodded positively.
"You see, Elena, I can't ask you to forgive him, and I can't also ask you not to forgive him, but I just want you to remember that we all make mistakes, sometimes terrible ones that might even affect others. But the question is, did you later recognize your mistake and are you sorry for it? So just follow your heart,if you want to forgive him better, but if you don't want to, too," I said to her, and she nodded before faking a smile at me.
"But do you think that he's going to be alright, because I have this bad feeling that something bad might happen to him?" she said to me, and immediately I faked a smile at her.
"He's going to be alright, Elena; Darian is a very strong werewolf, and I'm sure that he will come out of this victorious as usual," I said to her reassuringly.
"Thanks a lot, Ciara. I don't know what I could have done without you. Maybe if I give birth to a female pup, I will name her Ciara, she said to me, and immediately I smiled at her.
I was about to give her a reply when I heard the howling voice of my soldiers. From the look on her face, I'm sure that she too heard it, and whenever my soldiers howl that way, it means that there's a problem.
"What was that?" She asked me with a frightened tone while trying to calm her child, who had woken up and started crying because of the sound.
"I don't have any idea," I said to her before standing and rushing towards the cupboard in the chamber. Without hesitating, I brought out the brown powder that was used in creating the invisible cage.
Without hesitating, I spread it around her in such a way that it formed a circle with her in the middle.
"Do not walk out of this circle in any circumstances," I commanded her, even though I knew that she could never come out of it and no supernatural creature could get in.
With that, she nodded, and immediately I returned the powder to the cupboard before I started heading outside as the sound of the howling kept on getting louder.
