Darian's POV
"Yes, Darian, I know how you can defeat the supreme Alphas, but trust me, it's not something you are going to like," she said to me, her lips curving in a cunning smile, and immediately I furrowed my brows at her, wondering what she's about to tell me.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked her with an inquisitive look.
"Actually, if the supreme Alphas were able to beat the hell out of you the previous time you went there, it's because they are triplets and they have the ability to merge together," she said to me, and immediately I frowned at her.
"They didn't beat the hell out of me, and secondly, we didn't even engage in a proper fight; if not for how they vanished right in front of me, I would have really taught them a lesson," I said to Ciara confidently, and immediately she chuckled mockingly at me before shaking her head in disbelief.
"Noted Packless Alpha Darian," she said to me sarcastically. "Do you mind if I go on with my explanation, your highness?" she asked me with a mockery tone, and immediately I rolled my eyes angrily at her.
"You can go on," I said to her with a frown.
"As I was saying, if you want to defeat him, you have to merge with someone too in order for your strength to fit theirs, and fortunately for you, you have a twin brother who you can merge with," she said to me, and immediately I gave her a serious stare.
"I know what you are thinking about, Darian, but that's the only solution, unless you don't want to recover your pack from the supreme Alphas," she said to me with an inquisitive look.
"Come on, Ciara, isn't there any other way? We both know that Richard won't agree to help me out, especially when it's about something that has to do with my pack, the same pack he was denied," I said to Ciara, who sighed before standing up from where she was sitting.
"You asked me a question, Darian, and I have given you an answer, but if you think that the answer I gave you isn't satisfying, you are free to go and seek an answer elsewhere," she said to me before approaching me and patting me on the shoulder.
With that, she started heading towards the entrance of her chamber.
"By the way, Darian," she said to me, and immediately I turned around and looked at her.
"I know that you are happy because you have found your mate, but the both of you should stop defiling my chamber with your romance and kisses in my corridor. If the both of you want to make out, then get yourselves a room; if not, you will be the one to suffer my rage. I don't know what Elena sees on your ugly face that is attracting her towards you," she said to me before rolling her eyes angrily at me and walking inside.
"Did she just say that my face is ugly?" I asked myself while touching my face.
Adrian's POV
"Adrian, please slow down," my brother's voice sounded from behind as I kept on riding my horse faster ahead of him.
"Adrian!!!" He screamed once again from behind, and immediately I sighed heavily before slowing down in order for him to catch up with me.
"Seriously, Adrian, why the speed? Are we in a horse-riding competition?" He asked me while panting heavily, and immediately I chuckled mockingly at him.
"No, of course, little brother; I just wanted to see for how long you can keep up," I said to him, and immediately he rolled his eyes at me.
"By the way, can you tell me where we are heading?" He asked me with an inquisitive look.
"Not yet, Justin; we will be there soon; it's a surprise," I said to him with a warm smile, and immediately he frowned at me.
"To be sincere, Adrian, what we are doing isn't right; mom is going to have a heart attack when she discovers that we sneaked out of the palace, and secondly, there isn't any guard with us; what about if something bad happens?" He asked me with an inquisitive look.
"Come on, Justin, we are grown ups already, and we can protect ourselves. And about mom, if she finds out that we aren't in the palace, she can simply mind link with us, and we will tell her that we are just strolling around," I said to Justin, who was still giving me an unsure stare.
"Let's get going, Justin; the earlier we go, the earlier we return," I said to Justin, who hesitated for some seconds before following me from behind.
After another thirty minutes of riding, we were finally getting closer to the destination, and I could already perceive the scent of the people I was looking for. Meanwhile, I could see the fright written all over Justin's face as he started perceiving the scent too.
"What with the strange scent, Adrian?" Justin asked me while catching up with me.
"I don't have any idea, bro," I lied to him while riding forward.
We were still moving forward when some strange creatures suddenly came out from nowhere and surrounded us.
Their eyes were red, unlike ours; they weren't glowing; they were naturally red; their claws were shorter than ours, but they were sharp; and they all had long fangs.
Once we saw them, we immediately flipped from our horses and landed on the ground.
Without hesitating, we immediately brought out our claws, and immediately our eyes glowed red as our wolf hair slowly covered our faces.
"What on earth are these creatures?" Justin asked me through the mental link.
"They are called vampires, and be careful, bro; they are very fast," I said to him through the link.
"So are we?" He said this to me before howling at the vampires on his own side, and immediately they howled at him in return.
"Let's pounce on them," I said to him through the link before howling at the vampires on my own side.
"With pleasure, bro," he said to me, and immediately we dashed towards the vampires.
