Chapter 57: Alpha Benson's Caprices

Darian's POV

Once the guard brought the news about the soldiers who were heading towards the pack, Ciara and Richard left immediately, without even allowing me to join them.

Without hesitating I immediately stood up and was about to go after them but Elena's voice stopped me immediately.

"Please be careful out there," she said to me with a worried tone and I smiled at her before approachng and kissing her on the forehead and to my greatest surprise, she didn't even push me or resist.

"Don't worry, I will be very careful, I'm not going to die again," I said to her before pulling away, but as I was about to leave she hugged me tightly. Even though I was a little bit surprised, I hugged her, I still can't believe that she was the one told me that she hated me, but right now, she doesn't even want to let me go, I must admit that Luciana killing me wasn't a bad thing after all, instead it's blessing in disguise.

After some minutes, she finally freed me, but she kept on avoiding my gaze, probably she was a little bit shy.

"Don't worry dear, I will be very careful, I promise," I said to her before walking away in order to know the soldiers that were coming here and their real motive.

On getting there I saw Ciara, Richard and her soldiers standing in front of the pack as the soldiers were approaching and in front of them were two people who looked familiar, even though I still couldn't remember where I saw them for the first time, I knew that I had seen before.

As they got to certain distance, the she-wolf and the werewolf that looked familiar ordered the soldiers to stop, with that they came down from the horse and started walking to where we were standing.

As they were getting closer, I immediately remembered who they were, it was Anastasia, Alpha Ethan's mate and Alpha Ethan's Beta, but what is she doing here or does she want to confront me for killing his mate that kidnapped my mate with Alpha Benson.

As these thoughts were running through my mind, she approached us with her mate's beta and together the both of them prostrated themselves before us, at least that was the first sign that they didn't come for war, but if they didn't come for war, then why is she here?"

"Greetings Luna Anastasia," I greeted her in reply while prostrating myself.

"Greetings Anastasia, it's been a while," Ciara greeted in reply as she was staring at her as if she saw a ghost, probably she too thought that Ciara was already dead, I too thought the same until when I met her.

"Stop staring at me like that, you should actually be telling us what brought you here instead of wondering how I'm still alive," Ciara said to Anastasia.

"I'm sorry for that, I heard that my son came here and caused problem for you people and I'm here to plead on his behalf," Anastasia said to Ciara and I furrowed my brows in surprise while wondering about what she's talking about.

"What's she talking about?" I whispered to Ciara who was standing beside me.

"Actually, her son came here with his vampire friend, they wanted to abduct your mate because you killed his father," Ciara said to me loudly in a way that Anastasia could hear it.

"Hope you killed him?" I asked Ciara with a cold tone.

"Not yet little Bro, we only killed his vampire friend, we were awaiting your arrival before killing him too," Richard said to me with a wicked smirk.

"The what are you waiting for, go get him out so that we can kill him immediately, no one messes with my mate and goes unpunished," I said to Richard with a cold tone.

"No, no please Alpha spare his life," Anastasia begged us while kneeling down.

"He's just a kid, he didn't mean what he did and I wasn't even aware of it, if not I wouldn't have allowed him to do such thing," Anastasia begged us while kneeling down.

"What do you think, should we free him," I asked Ciara and Richard and they looked at Anastasia who was still kneeling on the ground and heaved a sigh.

"Well, why don't we bring him out so that he can do the apologizing himself, he got himself into the mess and he's the one who's supposed to be apologizing not his mother," Ciara said to me and I nodded.

With that I commanded one of the guards to go and bring him out of the dungeon.

After some minutes, the guard returned with the young werewolf who was bounded with chain and looking unkempt, with how he was looking one could think that he had spent almost a month in the dungeon while he haven't spent up to three days in dungeon.

Once his mother saw him, she immediately stood up from where she was kneeling and ran to him,once she reached where she landed a hot slap on the cheeks.

"You stubborn child, how could you do this to your mother, you haven't even been crowned as the Alpha and you are taking nasty decisions just like your father," Anastasia thundered angrily at him while fuming in anger.

"I'm so sorry mum, I never meant to hurt you, I was only trying to avenge dad's death," he said to his mum with a dejected tone,meanwhile we stood there silently observing the whole scene.

"Will you keep quiet my friend, now go and apologize to Alpha Darian for all the problems you caused in his pack," his mother commanded him.

"Never mum, I will do everything you ask me to do, but I will never apologize to the person that killed dad," he retorted immediately.

"Foolish kid, I killed your dad because he kidnapped my mate and you were about to do the same thing he did, you should be grateful that your mother came here before I heard of you, if not I would have sent you to where your father is," I said to him with a cold tone.

"That's not true, my father never kidnapped your mate, Alpha Benson said that you attacked them by surprise," he said to me and I shook my head in disbelief.

"You don't know who Alpha Benson is, don't allow him to use you the same way he used your father and if you meet him, tell him that I'm coming for him," I said to him before walking away.
