Darian's POV
What on earth is wrong with you Darian, why are you being a thorn in the flesh for me?" Richard asked me while fuming in anger.
Actually when my men and I got to his palace, his guards didn't allow us to pass, possibly because of what that transpired between their Alpha and I; we had to fight ourselves inside.
We were still struggling with his guards when Richard came out fuming in anger.
Once he saw me and my soldiers, he glared angrily at me before signalling his guards to let us in.
"You made me a thorn in your flesh when you took my mate into your custody, if you had allowed me to leave with her the first time I came here, noone could have abducted her," I said to him my voice raising in anger.
"So the reason why you came here is to remind me that your mate was kidnapped because me right? Well I'm very sorry Darian, I mean very sorry and I take the blame for my action are you satisfied?" He asked me with a sarcastic tone and I nodded negatively and he frowned.
"Then what else do you want, do you want a compensation?" He asked me with an inquisitive look and immediately I glared angrily at him.
"Then what do you want?" He asked me as I was still staring daggers at him.
"Do you mind describing for me a little bit the werewolf that caged you and abducted Elena," I asked him and after some minutes of silence he started describing him for me.
"Alpha Benson," I muttered angrily to myself as he was still describing him for me.
"It seems like you already know him?" He asked me and I nodded.
I was already suspecting him but I had my doubts since Ciara told me that the person made use of black magic, I never imagined that Alpha Benson would go to the extent of using black magic just because the supreme Alphas promised to give half of my pack to anyone who finds me.
"Now that you already know who is detaining your mate, I think you should start going," he said to me while faking a smile.
"Not yet, I still have another question," I said to him and immediately he sighed heavily before placing his palm under his chin.
"I'm all ears Darian but I won't be answering any another question after this?" He said to me and I nodded.
"Did you see him leaving with Elena? Because with the position in which I saw the invisible barrier, it's impossible for him to walk through it with Elena without breaking the portal," I said to him.
"Actually I was asking myself the same question too, I only saw him entering the room in which Elena was with her baby after breaking the door but how he got out of the room with her is something that I can't still explain, and the windows weren't damaged meaning that he didn't pass through the windows," he said to me.
Once he explained that to me, I immediately remembered how the supreme Alphas vanished right in front of me, surely that was how he left with her.
"Do you have any idea of how they left the palace," he asked me jolting me back to reality and immediately I shook my head negatively.
"Ok now that I have answered all your questions, I think it's time for you and your soldiers to start taking your leaves," he said to me.
"You are right Richard but I have one last demand," I said to him and immediately he started breathing fast and his eyes started beaming dangerously.
"Chill bro, I said a demand not a question," I said to him and immediately he closed his eyes in order to calm his nerves.
"What is this demand of yours Darian?" He asked me while peering into my eyeballs.
"Actually, I want you to assign me some of your soldiers," I said to him and immediately he chuckled drily before shaking his head in disbelief.
"And why should I do that?" He asked me with an inquisitive look.
"Because I need to go and rescue my mate who was abducted all thanks to you and I don't have enough soldiers with me, and this can also be an opportunity for you to take revenge on those who damaged your palace in such manner," I said to him and he nodded positively while grinning ear to ear and just in just in a twinkle of an eye the smile disappeared from his face and was replaced with a frown.
"That's really a good reason Darian but I'm not doing it, it wasn't necessary for you to mention the revenge part because you don't actually care about it, all that matters to you is rescuing your mate; so do me a favour and get out of my palace, I have had enough with you and your problems, your mate is no longer in my custody so please leave now that I'm still saying it peacefully because I won't bother having a rematch with you after our previous fight," he said to me with a calm but warning tone.
"I will be taking my leave Richard and thank you for your help, but as long as I haven't rescued my mate, I will keep on coming back," I said to him before heading towards the exit accompanied by my men.
After leaving Richard's pack, we started heading back to Ciara's pack; actually I have already known that he wasn't going to accept to assign his soldiers to me but at least it was worth trying, I already know who is behind Elena's abduction but the only problem is how I'm going to rescue her from Alpha Benson with only twenty men and even though Ciara accepts to assign some of her men to me, that won't still be enough because her men aren't skilled in fighting wars, and I'm sure that Alpha Benson isn't going to hand me my mate over to me without war.
