The Gang Leader's Obsession

Chapter 135

Ch. 135 / 185 Jun 03, 2025

I struggled to fight out of the grip of the man. But he held me tighter the more I struggled. He succeeded in gagging me with a hanky.

I looked up at him through teary eyes. He was towering over me. All of them were, but he was different. He was broad, handsome and much more refined unlike the other two who looked like normal street touts.

I still had no idea what they wanted from me and my mind was becoming hazy due to lack of sleep.

He lifted me on his shoulders like I was a sack of rice and carried me out of my room.

When we got outside I found my gateman sleeping soundly on the concrete floor.

His head was resting back on the rubber chair and a small wooden stool was in front of him with bottles of drinks splattered around.

There was still no evidence of Scar. He was not coming. Not anymore.

The other two men opened the small black gate and I was carried out.

A gust of wind hit me immediately the leader stepped out of my compound, the other two men locking the door behind him.

After I realized how almost helpless the situation was, I settled for being happy that they didn't touch my family, hopefully they were all still soundly asleep. I had to believe that.

After resting a bit I started struggling again to be free of my captors grasp but he was stronger, soon my hands grew limp from fighting. It didn't feel like I was hitting him rather it felt as if my blows were nothing more than mosquito bites to him. He didn't so much as flinch no matter how much I struggled.

"Keep quiet!" he growled under his breath as he threw me into the boot of his car that was packed metres away from my house.

"You better pray that your family doesn't wake up. For The mercy that was given to you doesn't extend to them!" He warns, closing the boot.

Thick darkness soon embraced me. I could hardly breath in the trunk and kicking and hitting didn't do me any good. Instead it left me exhausted.

I suddenly started having flashes of me being in the same situation. It was as if the memory of the same incident had been buried deep in me. It came as flashes which was followed by a painful migraine.

I held my head and cried out, fueling the migraine.

When I closed my eyes I saw two girls crying and holding on to each other. I saw a man pushing us into a truck. They were carrying us somewhere but where?

I tried to remember more but the car came to a halt, pulling me out of my thoughts.

The trunk suddenly opened and I inhaled deeply. Pain seared through my entire body as my lungs rippled with exhaustion.

Again, I come face to face with my kidnapper. Only this time there was no light which made him look more like a frail shadow.

A nightmare. My nightmare.

"Who did you think will save you?" he whispered. He held my waist and pulled me out of the car, again carrying me on his shoulders.

"Your Scar is not coming to save you!" He added, and my heart twitched in pain. Tears well up in my eyes but I couldn't let them fall.

I knew that he was only lying to me. That he was only trying to break me but I was not weak.

Scar would save me, he always does. I tried to assure to myself even though there was doubt in my mind because something just didn't feel right.

Who were those girls I kept remembering and where have I seen them before? I asked myself but no answer came to mind. It was clear that I could not remember them, but I didn't understand why it was so.

I never forgot a face so why didn't I remember theirs. Unless it was during the time I was supposed to go to Port-harcourt. But the doctor told me that I was unconscious almost the whole time.

The man continued to carry me deeper and deeper into the forest, scaring the life out of me. The deeper he went the harder It was for me to breath.

The night was pitch black as the moon was hidden behind a thick cloud.

I squinted my eyes hoping to recognize something, anything but I couldn't see.

The man who was carrying me switched on a torch while the other two guys stayed behind him like bodyguards. Soon we arrived at a small hut.

He pushed the door open and dropped me on the floor.

"Rest this night. Tomorrow you have a lot to do or it may just be this night who knows? Just say your last prayer little girl, your luck has run out." he said, removing the tie from my mouth.

"Bastard!" I spat.

"That I am." He smirked. "But I am the least of the bastards you should be worried about. Their are more and they are all coming for you."

He locked the door leaving me in darkness.

I immediately went to looking around for anything to hold on to but I could only make out a bare room. There was only one window where a small light came from and a measly, grimy mat at the corner of the room.

I started kicking and banging on the small wooden door hoping one of the men would come, but no one came. I gave up on it and looked around for a chair or something high that I could step, so I could jump out from the widow.

But there was nothing.

At the end fatigue won and I slept.
