The Gang Leader's Obsession

Chapter 161

Ch. 161 / 185 Jun 03, 2025

Stepping on the stairs of the massive building, so massive that my eyes could not meet the top, I felt someone watching me from behind.

I turned around to see a pair of beautiful purple eyes and my heart skipped a beat. He reminded me of white lion but white lion was dead so it couldn't be him.

The eyes I saw belonged to the most beautiful man I had ever seen. He was as white as snow, his lips were so red it was sinful and his short hair was just as white as his skin.

His beards were neatly carved just like his perfect eyes brows.

The man was clad in dark blue suit I could tell was very expensive. He emitted an aura of class and affluence that was intoxicating and seductive.

He had a look that could definitely stop any woman in her tracks just like it did me.

I didn't mind stopping to talk to him as I was quite early for my interview. An hour Early to be exact which was because I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to work in the biggest shipping company in the country especially not when I was offered an interview without even applying for the job.

"Hi." The gentle man said, walking towards me with a smile that caused my heart to stop.

At that point I felt something that I had never felt for any man except Scar. It was as if I knew the man from somewhere, like he was my long lost lover. I wanted to rush to him, to hug him but then I controlled myself.

The urge for him was as unexplainable as it was confusing.

His eyes on me didn't help matters, it made me nervous to the bones. I suddenly felt unworthy.

"Hi back to you," I replied with a smile. The building had three steps you had to climb before you could get in through the large glass doors, I was standing on the third.

"I'm Noah, and you are?" He asked, climbing the second stair. His face was a few inches away from mine causing my heart to beat recklessly in my chest.

Noah. Just like.

Stop over thinking things its been four years!

I struggled to give a reply as I would hate for his first impression of me to be that I was dumb. I wanted to make a good first impression, but I failed as the words that came out from my mouth were all gibberish. I

n my defence my mouth spoke what my mind thought and my mind wasn't exactly doing a good job of thinking in that moment, not with his presence.

"Mira.. Mira, " I stuttered, embarrassed with myself. I couldn't explain why my hands and feet were trembling. I lost control of myself.

"Mira?" He repeated, a look of familiarity in his eyes. "So Mira can I take you out while you wait for the interview to begin?" He asked, climbing the third stair.

He was now a few inches close to me and I could not take my eyes of him. His eyes were too familiar to be just a coincidence.

"Scar!" I mumbled, tears staining my eyes.

"What did you just call me?" He asked, looking utterly confused.

"Nothing... Forget it." I replied, almost immediately.

My heart kept beating so hard and fast in my chest I felt that I would pass out.

I looked down at my fingers afraid to look into his eyes again.

All my body parts kept screaming. Run Mira or drown but I chose to turn a deaf ear to their pleas. Instead I asked him a question of my own, mustering enough courage to look him in the eye again. "How do you know that I am here for the interview?"

"Answering a question with another. A true Nigerian." He chuckled. "Well if You must know, it wasn't that hard to perceive. You do not look like a customer here and you are definitely not an employee."

"So you know all the employees?" I asked cocking an eyebrow. I tried my best to look serious but I couldn't remove the smile on my face no matter how hard I tried. I loved how he looked at me like I was a star.

"I'll definitely know if someone as beautiful as you worked here." He smirked. "So what's the answer to my proposal yes or yes?"

I giggled at his insistence.

"Or." I joked. His pouted causing me to laugh out. "Yes, but we have to come back in thirty minutes time and no more."

"No more baby, no more." He replied.
