WHITE LION'S POV
"The devil has arrived in all his glory. Now can we begin his judgment for we would send him to hell tonight." Another voice said, and all the lights in the room turned on almost blinding me.
I put my hand over my eyes to prevent the light from sipping through and rendering my sense of sight incapable.
The room was small, like hell, which was a stark contrast to all the lights in it.
There was only a small golden chair with a flowery head iron rest. By the far right were TV's connected to CCTV camera's. I could see the empty compound on it, void of every human activity of any kind.
By the wall was a painting of a dark knight. I realized then that no one was actually sitting on the chair, but they were all around me. Huge men on suit.
Some familiar, some not.
"Jide!" I called, my voice laced with anger and question. Something was not right, nothing was.
I felt like tiny objects were crawling up my skin and someone was using my heart to play ball.
My eyes darted to all the blank faces in front of me, but the very one which I had expected to see was absent.
I would turn around to look for the bastard had I not been surrounded by a dozen men. Half of which I could take down without much fatality but the other half I wasn't so sure.
I turned around to see a small passage just by the right of the room, Jide was standing by the side now a smile on his face.
"WHAT IS GOING ON?" I spat, confusion searing through me in seething form. "Where is Nelson."
Footsteps from behind me started dull my senses as they came closer to me.
My heart beat pounded in my head as I met the man standing before me. "Nelson." He had a smirk on his face, but a bit of relief washed through me seeing that my people were also here.
I have always asked them to think on their own and maybe they were doing it now. Hatching their own plan.
I hated that I was not let in on it hence bewildered, but I was finally grateful to have them use their brains.
"Speak of the devil." I said, as I pointed the gun at his head. "And he will come to you."
"Who is the Devil?" Nelson asked. He was all tall, huge man, with pointed features and a pale almost white skin.
His suit clung to his body just like the sleek white hair on his head. It was my first time meeting him and if I didn't have to kill him I would have found him intriguing.
"The one who goes to hell today." I replied. "Where is my right hand man?"
My eyes were sedated on his as I watched in anger, while he laughed out loud as if I had asked something so amusing he just could not believe it.
"You have no man left Lion." He scowled, amidst dark chuckles.
I snarled, immediately pulling the trigger of my gun, "Well I will find him myself then."
In my anger and confidence I did not expect the clashing of iron to my head from behind me.
A man must always have an eye behind or an ear sharp enough to replace it.
Pain erupted through out my body like a volitive volcano. The gun on my hand was kicked out and I sprawled down to the floor in one loud thump.
The one slung on my shoulders was also removed by a huge cold hand.
My heart beat raced as my eyes started to meet another darkness, this one existing behind my eyelids.
Agony seared through my entire body as I gasped for air. Then I saw her.
Mira was smiling down at me with those full lips I never could stop kissing.
My eyes flew open at once and I crawled back up to my feet only to see myself surrounded, but that was not what knocked the breath out of me.
It was the people surrounding me that did.
"No one surprises any member of the Lion gang isn't it?" A familiar voice taunted coming from behind me.
It was a voice that I could tell even in the depths of any darkness.
My heart stopped and I could feel tears well up in my eyes.
I inhaled, winning at the pounding pain in my head.
Slowly I turned around to see Marcus walking up to me with a dangerous smirk on his face.
"Mar..." My voice trailed off. His name had suddenly become too heavy for me to utter. It was a big rock threatening to drown me.
I was in a nightmare, trapped in deceitful light. All these light around me were lies.
Darkness was all it was now, in my veins, in my heart. A steady blackness, like a pool of abyss.
"Welcome to the party lion. We've waited a long. Long. Time for you." He laughed as he stepped passed me and strolled to the chair in front.
"What is going on?" I said, through clenched teeth. "Speak before I cut your tongue out and feed it to the dogs!" I yelled, and for the first time my voice held not just power but fear and anguish.
The men around the room, mostly with different faces all tried to come after me.
Jide and Ufoma, two of the other familiar faces around flexed their muscles as they stared dagger into my skin. This time they were not here for my protection but for my execution.
"Don't hurt him yet." Marcus said, stopping motioning for them to take a step back.
We glared at one another for a short time – the only motion between us were promises of violence and bloodshed.
"I repeat. What is going on here?" I asked.
This time I made sure to Bury every other emotion in my voice. I needed an answer and I needed it now.
