WHITE LION'S POV
"Judgment." Marcus spat, he walked over to the chair and unbuttoning his suit he sat down, his eyes not leaving mine, neither did his smirk leave his face.
"Judgment for who? Where is Nelson?"
"Dead."
All the light in the room and even the one that sipped in through the window could not drown away the darkness in his eyes as he glared at me like one who wanted to end his long lost enemy.
He was like a different person, psychotic and mad. There looked to be an eternity of madness in his eyes. A psychotic rage.
"And so you would be soon." He added as he got up from the chair, buttoning his black suit as he did. He looked very much different. So different.
Almost as though he were tormented by legions of demons.
I could not deny the rage in my heart, the anger, the surprise and the pain as he continued to walk up to me only stopping till we were few inches apart.
But what prevailed amidst all was curiosity.
Why would he betray me?
"Look around you Lion You have been defeated. And like every other protagonist you have been caved by your own weakness; unrelenting trust and unparalleled confidence. Didn't your father ever teach you not to trust anybody?!" He chuckled, then he started to laugh out loud as if he had suddenly lost his mind.
"I mean that's the first thing he was meant to teach you. Never to trust anyone. Maybe he was not so great a man. After all I bet he had paid the policemen who had shot him dead when he wanted to escape. Like father.... Like son." He spat.
Rage overpowered every other emotion in me turning off reason.
I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, "Don't you ever speak of my father in such a Manner of I promise you that your death would be so painful it would be a myth!" I growled, crashing my fist into his jaw so hard he fell to the ground with a loud thump.
I was heaving now sweat dripping down my face as I watched him struggle to get to his feet. There was blood on the side of his mouth and he licked it out, taking the remaining with his thumb.
"You will pay for this LION!" He bellowed jolting up.
There was fire in his eyes right now as he spoke. "Or Mira would." He smiled, knowing that he had gotten me by the heart by my very own weakness.
Mind games would be too risky given my disadvantages against him now so I decided not to play it.
Marcus stepped a foot in front of me, but this time more boldly. He was trying to train me to fear his step. I bit down on my impulse to grown and acted as if I had frozen.
I would not give him the reaction he wanted.
He laughed as he took a rushing step in and tried to cleave my head. Ready for it, I leapt away and swung my fist again to his jaw.
He fell to the ground this time and his men and mine surrounded me. My face contorted into a deep frown as I prepared to engage them or die trying.
"YOU ALL WANT A TASTE OF ME?! COME ON. COME AND GET ME!" I dared, clenching my fist in preparation for a fight.
"No need to do that." Marcus laughed making his way between the bodies that stood before me.
"I know just how to make him pay." He spat out, blood staining the corner of his lips.
My eyes remained steady on him not wanting to be caught by surprise again.
"I am white Lion, Marcus!" I said slowly, "I would always win."
He smirked as he moved closer to me now. His brown eyes lit with consuming fire.
"Your death shall be written in history books and mine would be by it as the man who broke and killed the great White Lion! Your end will be so magnificent the devil will applaud."
