The Gang Leader's Obsession

Chapter 127

Ch. 127 / 185 Jun 03, 2025

WHITE LION'S POV

I walked back to my seat feeling all the ideas and schemes entangle my brain in an endless ropes of plans.

I leaned down until I could once again bask in the comfort the armrest gave to me.

"Do they live?" I asked, staring up at Marcus. "The three idiots." I clarified.

"They are stable for now. The doctor did a good job.

I scoffed, "Incompetent and as stupid as he maybe he knows to do his job well."

Marcus stifled a laughter and I smiled in return.

"Well boys I can see that I am not needed here so I would take my leave." Sophia said with a sour look on her face.

Ever the feminist.

I chuckled a bit bringing my hands to my lips to stifle my laughter as my eyes focused on the arm of my chair.

"What's so funny Lion?" She hissed.

I chuckled harder and shrugged still not looking up at her until I was able to control my laughter.

"Your voice I suppose. You sound almost like one of those weak girls you hate. Are you losing touch Sophia?"

She rolled her eyes, "I see that my irritation amuses you."

"It does, Love. Your anger is unwise hence the amusement it breeds." She gave me a pointed girl eliciting a chuckle from me.

"Marcus would fill you in after Sophi. Do well to have a good night rest."

"I wouldn't wish the same for you." She scowled, as she took of out of the room in a bout of anger.

I laughed a bit at the confused expression on Marcus's face. "Go to her mate. She needs you, those feisty eyes."

"And you seem to be rather calm considering the level of failure presented to you on your return."

"Failure is always a stepping stone to success friend. Learn that."

"Nelson right about now thinks he has us cornered. I am no where to be found and three of my men are down. This is why he would never suspect the darkness that would engulf him tomorrow night, a blackness that would be blood thirsty and vile and one that must swallow him up."

Marcus smirked as he moved further to the table and pressed his hands on the edge.

"What do you have in mind Lion?" He asked, locking eyes with me.

I gave him a pointed glare although it was quite amusing to watch the glint in his eyes at my words. "I have a lot but go to your woman because who can tell if you would meet her again tomorrow."

Marcus sighed and stood up straight. "Sophia is anything but my woman."

"The Kings hand does not give up. He is as fierce as the king. You are a wolf. Act like it." I stared straight into his eyes searching for the man I knew. "Because if you don't get your act together then I would have no use for you anymore."

There was fear in his eyes before it became void of every thing emotion just like I loved it. "Tomorrow we dine with blood."

I gave him a half smile and leaned back on my chair as I rested my head on the arm rest. "As it was meant to be."

I shut my eyes to the thought of the violence and bloodshed that awaited me tomorrow and he was gone by the time I reopened it.

****

I could barely sleep thanks to my worrying mind.

Tomorrow I knew that I would have to unleash again all the demons that Mira had tamed within my heart, without her knowledge.

I didn't know if I wanted to have my demons brawling again after a while of trying to subdue them, but I did not have much of a choice anyway.

The room was cold and so was my huge bed. I missed watching Mira sleep on it even if he had happened only for one night.

She was such a beauty. So vulnerable, yet so alive and free even when she was asleep.

She knew just how to make me feel like I wasn't a monster. That I could be saved and be something even more.

At least she was one person who had not failed me yet considering all the things that had been happening all around me.

Marcus was starting to disappoint me and I didn't know if it was just because of Sophia or some other reason.

If it were anyone else I would have killed him or sent him away to suffer, but Loyalty was everything to me and Marcus had proven his loyalty more times than I could count.

More so, I believed in him. He was vicious as he was full of life and stealth. An innocent ripper one that I needed by my side as he was in himself.

I had personally gone to check the lake house mansion myself and had drawn a map of it just like my father had taught me.

My men had watched from afar scared that I would lash out on them but I had just been with Mira and she was my calm.

Now that I looked at the map I knew how tomorrow would turn out to be. Indeed it had been a goof choice to go over there.

My afternoon had been productive even though I wished that I didn't have to leave Mira.

I exhaled at the thought of her suddenly feeling an unbeatable desire flow through my veins.

It was a desire to be with her. To talk to her. A desire to have her in my bed, underneath me, by my side, riding me. In any position she would want.

She had been naked and just a door away from me today and I didn't do nothing.

I could have seen her perfect body, her perfect form. But I couldn't ask her to give in to me when she didn't know what she was giving in to, when she was still underage.

I couldn't give her all of me yet and It would be selfish to ask her for all of her. I had been too selfish with her and I couldn't continue to toll in that line.

My life had been full with imperfections I wanted everything about us, about our love to be perfect just as she was to me.

I should really sleep, my eyes were threatening to close in on me, but my mind was alert with thoughts of Mira like it wasn't past 12.

My phone was just within reach on my bed and I tapped on it to turn it on.

Immediately it did I saw her, the love of my life.

There on my screen was a picture I had taken of her while she smiled at her brothers.

She had been putting on a black gown that day, a gown that had fitted her shape so perfectly.

She had looked so sexy in it, so ethereal and sublime.

Her brothers were telling her some story about school while I watched her smile from a distance wishing that I was there with her but I knew better.

It was one of the days after we had fought and I had promised to stay away from her, still I stalked her whenever I couldn't bear the torment of not seeing her for a day.

The day I took the picture had been the first time she smiled genuinely after we fought and I had been so jealous of her brothers.

I was jealous of their stories, of her clothes that hugged her body instead of my hands, of the faint lip gloss on her lips where mine should have been, of everything around her even the ground she stepped on.

That was when I took the pictures hiding between two buildings. I wanted a part of her with me no matter how dangerous it was.

I could only catch the side of her face where there was a tiny dimple when she smirked, and her lean but shapy hips. It was the only picture I had of her and it was my best.

She was my calm soothing music. My Everything.
