WHITE LION'S POV
A huge parlour was the first thing I walked into.
It was more of an open space with very few furniture's.
Everything was gold, the walls, the tiles the furniture's but it didn't give any air of purity.
Instead the open parlour emitted an air of aloneness, of death and cold abyss.
The wind howled in through every one of the huge windows just above my head level, as if trying to express it's own confusion at the sudden sieze-fire.
I, myself, was confused, One minute the bullets were raining holy hell down on us in a never-ending bombardment, and the next, nothing.
No movement, no bullets, no wind, no people. It's like they just vanished, or were never there to begin with.
But we were here. My men were somewhere and so was Nelson's.
I knew that I was not alone even now.
Chief Nelson was known for his sick mind games and I would not play into his hands.
Soon darkness enveloped me causing a chill to run down my spine.
My senses became hypersensitive with all the lights out. I could smell the blood, sweat and fear hanging heavily in the air.
The tiles got colder beneath my feet, making me feel as though I was thrown into the deep ocean.
The only light that shone in the rather dark huge parlour came from the open window.
The moon illuminated my path but I could feel tension rise within me, almost flushing away my courage like ocean waves washing ashore.
Lions fight till their death.
I sucked in air. The situation was dicey, but I couldn't give up.
I was here to win or to die trying.
I thrust a slightly shaky hand into my pocket to take out my small torch.
My eyes could not adjust to the moonlight, and the huge hall though huge felt choking.
I darted the torch a little upwards to the side, squinting my eyes a bit to make out something, anything from the dark room.
The yellow light afforded me a bit of clarity as I caught sight of a huge staircase by the side.
Exhaling, I turned back only to be hit by a gust of wind coming through the open doors, and again there was silence. My hand remained steady on my gun as I made my way through the stairs.
The thump-thump of my heartbeat, pounding deafeningly through my head was the only sound I could make out as I made my way up the many stairs.
Upstairs, there was a huge hallway which was deadly quiet, still and devoid of life.
My hand instinctively pressed down on the torch light turning it off.
Immediately it turned off I made out a light just as the end of the passage. It sipped from underneath the huge door.
This could only mean that there was a room there. One where Nelson had taken Marcus to or at least one with people who could give me answers to the silence.
Where were all other of my men?
Where is Sophia?
I flipped the torch back on when I heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps. Only they sounded so far away.
Again, I checked my six, making sure that nobody was behind me or around me.
The last thing I needed was to get jumped. It would have devastating effect not for the jumper not for me though.
Lion.
Lion.
Lion.
You are the King.
Do not forget!
The louder I chanted this in my head the more I was filled with waves of overwhelming adrenaline.
"Nelson I'm coming for you. You have only one chance left to surrender before I end you! Come out now and kneel!"
I yelled, irrational courage searing through me, leaving me helplessly incapable of resisting the overpowering wave of emotion within me even amidst my confusion and doubt.
For the first time in a take-out I felt the darkness of fear hovering around my head because now I had something to lose now.
Mira.
I have to see her again! My love.
A Lion never gives up, runs or retreats, especially without his people.
Slowly and steadily I made my way down the huge hallway, "Nelson. Its over! Surrender!" I yelled as I kicked the wooden door open.
"It is over you say. It has only just began." A voice sang, pride and glee dripping down like drops of water on a fountain top.
