The Gang Leader's Obsession

Chapter 146

Ch. 146 / 185 Jun 03, 2025

My brothers and I hugged each other After we confessed our undying unbreakable love for one another.

Family was the only thing that hadn't failed me and for that I would forever be grateful.

I went into the car where my mom was waiting to take me to school and to the new house she wanted me to stay due to her paranoia and courtesy of her new friend Elizabeth.

By the looks of it we were heading towards the direction of my school. I recognized the road and the sign post but against my better judgement I decided to say nothing about it.

I had thought the church would be outside the college turns out it was not.

The road was tiled and hardly would you see any boreholes.

My college was a private school owned by the former president. It was the best university in the country. A school for the elite.

Everyone who attended the school came from a family who had money and over the last year my family had become one of those family's who could be counted as those who had money.

Mt mum's final break through became when she was appointed as the commissioner of Delta state. At that point my dad had realized what he had done to himself by leaving us but by then he was already married to the other woman.

However, he still shamelessly decided to come back. When he came back to ask for forgiveness neither my mum nor me or even my brothers heard him out.

My mum threatened him with the new found power she now had and then she threw him out of the house promising to lock him up should he ever dare to return.

As a coward that he always was he never returned. For a week my mum had cried about it. It had affected her more than she expected but soon enough she got over it and moved on.

Now she was dating the minister of petroleum who was also a divorcee whose wife and child had died during a plane crash.

He had only one little daughter now and I loved her like I loved my brothers. They were planning to get married and I could not be happier for my mum. I loved the minister just like I should have loved my dad. He was a great man and a great father.

And the best thing about it was that he was my mums childhood friend who had always wanted to marry her, but back then my mum was thinking that he wasn't going to be loyal or good to her because he was from a rich home.

She wanted a kind and a gentle man who she could grow to love and grow to be successful with that was why she chose my dad over Mr Chidalu but it turned out to be just the opposite of what she had imagined.

Luckily enough my dad left to allow her pick the pieces of her life. I couldn't be happier about it. It is a classic example of when God closes a window he opens a door.

Everything was working out for the best for my mum and I was so happy for her and even my brothers who now got to have any game they wanted.

They were now having a swell childhood and I was so happy for them. Even if I missed out on having money to play around with when I was a kid I didn't hold it against my mum.

When my mom offered to take me to Ocean wave I could not have objected not only was it the best school around it was also not owned by a church or a pastor so the difficulties which students who go to private school encounter in Nigeria was not one I would experience. It made me so happy that I could have my freedom, the best life and the best education all in one and it was exactly what I was getting.

It was close to impossible for you to attend Wave university without you being rich considering the fact that our school fees was over five million naira and I won't say it's much, the school looked like paradise and I had the money now.

The town where the School was located in Abuja was built by the president for the elite in the countries capital. The town housed mostly government officials ambassadors and top businessmen.

A town for the rich a school for the rich and a girl that was me exploring it.

I had been wild since I got here going to clubs at night, drinking and smoking but my mum didn't need to know that. I still had to remain the perfect daughter to her.

Right now she was taking me to the place she said would be safe for me considering all the stories that had been going around about a Civil war breaking out. She wanted me to be somewhere safe because obviously when a war starts they would start from the leaders.

She had prepared a Visa for me and my brothers but she wanted us to finish schooling in Nigeria before she would fly us abroad.

That is my brothers would finish their secondary school here and then do their university which includes my new sister, abroad. While I on the other hand will do my college here and my masters abroad. She wanted me to travel out though but I couldn't leave yet. I was waiting for him to show up.

"Mira did you hear me?" My mum asked causing me to break away from my reverie.

"Sorry mum, what did you say" I ask looking up at her, a smile on my face.

"Are you sure you want to go with me to this place?" My mum asked, for what felt like the millionth time. "I could get you a house and bodyguards if you want."

I really now looked at her and I couldn't help but to admire her.

Age did my mum a lot of favors, her grey hair made her look more beautiful and her skin was spotless. She was too fit for a woman her age. Too hot I must say. And the gown she was wearing now made her even hotter. It was no surprise to me why I was so beautiful anyone born from my mother just had to be beautiful.

"Yes I want to go with you. You said he is a priest right?"

She nods.

"That's even better he can pray for me." I reply smiling.

But deep down I knew that there was no saving me.
