The Gang Leader's Obsession

Chapter 129

Ch. 129 / 185 Jun 03, 2025

WHITE LION'S POV

"For two weeks we have hoarded, and gathered, and watched like deer's in the thick dark forest. We have waited and we have been ambushed. Three of our brothers were shot by this people, almost erased from the world and certainly erased from our fight."

"They have stepped on the tail of THE Lion. They have woken the demons that sprawl within me, within us. And we shall pour out our aggression on them. We would tear them, limb for limb like the predators we are!"

"We are Lion! Kings! And this Town is ours!"

I closed my eyes as the memories of the speech I had given before my men and I started to head out of my mansion evaded my senses.

Marcus sat besides me while Sophia had insisted on taking the front passenger seat.

Either she was trying to avoid sitting with Marcus or she wanted to delude herself with being in charge.

I had let her do as she pleased only to inside that Ogaga was to drive us since I very well didn't trust him yet.

I exhaled as I involuntary tightened my hands around my gun.

Thoughts of Mira were starting to crawl up from my chest to my senses, I tried to bury them, but they were like my demons. They could not be hidden or defeated.

"You seem rather quiet." Sophia said, turning back to stare at me. "What's going on in that mind if yours My King." She purred as she locked eyes with me, giving me those flattering gaze of hers that always had a way to make me smile especially in times when I didn't want to.

"Lion does not speak during missions." Marcus replied, his face lightened up as he spoke. "But I do my princess."

"I am not your princess desist from calling me that." Sophia spat.

She turned back and hissed, "That's why you are not king." She mumbled more to herself but I heard her and I was sure that Marcus did too.

I placed my hand on his thighs and squeezed it reassuringly. The last thing I wanted was for him to lose his head when we were so close to ending this mission.

I gave him a slight nod of the head as my eyes locked with his.

He knew what I was trying to say. That he would prove her wrong and he would soon be king.

There was something dark in his eyes as he smirked in an attempt to assure me that he was still here both in mind and in body.

The darkness around him was a welcome abyss. He was loyal and that was all that mattered.

I could tell that Sophia was daring him and I kind of loved every thought of it.

I remained silent as I looked out the window, welcoming the dark Saturday night filled with surprises and desire.

The moon was full today as though it was the birth of a wolf, the dawning of a new Alpha.

This could only mean that Marcus would return to who he was or someone even better. I couldn't wait to fight side by side with him in yet another massacre.

The more we traversed through the road the brighter the moon shone. I looked over at Marcus to see a daring smirk on his lips.

The Jeep made a rickety noise as it came to a halt signalling the beginning of the end.

I got out of the car followed by Marcus and Sophia.

We closed the door with a loud bang as Ogaga drove forward.

Ogaga was to remain in the car on my specific instructions.

He was young and I did not quite trust him yet considering the fact that he still feared that I would kill him.

The cold night breeze hit me even underneath my bulletproof and suit but I didn't shiver from it. Rather I shivers at the thought of not being able to see Mira again.

My men all jumped down from three different vans that had driven behind me.

They surrounded me as we all ran into the bush.

The road we were in was thin and tree lined mostly by tall palm trees.

There was a clear bath that led to his house one we had steady formed from the beginning of the siege.

As we walked further into the bush through the path, Small touches were used to light the way by some of my men who were in front.

The adrenaline in the air started to kick in filling us even more with blood thirst.

I closed my eyes for a second adjusting the light between my eyelids with the darkness around.

The light, Mira.

We were at the end of the forest now and there was a huge gate which led to a rather big swimming pool.

There were lights at several polls around the mansion, white lights which Illuminated the darkness of the night.

From where I stood I could see several men on the roof, holding a riffle with searching alert eyes.

Several others were around the pool, their eyes on the others that were sitted at the small round table placed at the garden on the right side of the huge compound.

I would have loved to take out the light and embrace blackness but my eyes were becoming quite sensitive and we were not well equipped for it. It was just 2014.

Hopefully things started to get better for gangs later on but for now light it is.

I grabbed the small gadget that the DPO had given to me that could open up an electric gate. It turned of the light at a small range if placed on it.

"We go in, in five." I whispered harshly to my men.

Marcus and Sophia were by my side and I could hear their steady unfamiliar heartbeat.

I looked at each of them one at a time first at Marcus who was at my right then at Sophia who was on the left. "And we do not fail."

"And when we come back we take all the women we want." Marcus said out loud and causing the other men to laugh in agreement.

I gave him a reproachful look then. "Women are not booze or cigarette. They are not spoils of war, pets or things. They are humans." I said through clenched teeth.

"If you want to fuck a woman you have to woe her. I let you guys talk me into kidnapping some before it would not happen again." I spoke out louder this time, my tone one of finality.

"Right now what you all should be thinking about is fucking the men behind those Gates." I added.

Silence again filled the air and without waiting for a reaction I stood up and placed the gadget on the gate.

The gate opened and the shooting began.
