Black put the phone on speaker so I could listen to their conversation. I wondered if he did it to help me or to taunt me. The latter was more probable.
"Don't tell me that this is your new game Mira. Whoever you are please give Mira the phone and tell her that her food is getting cold and she won't be allowed to make a new one if she comes home late from wherever she went to."
My mums voice echoed in the room, a sword that pressed through my heart. She thought it was a joke. At that point tears fell down my cheeks uncontrollably.
The thought of putting my mum in danger was just too painful to bear. I wished it was all a joke like she thought.
"I have your daughter here with me and I need you to..."
"Young man I am a very busy person and I have no time for games, now if you will excuse me I have things to do." She cut in.
"You can call me Black." He said, finally putting a name to the face. "And Ma.. I'm busy too....Extremely busy... and this is not a game. You want proof?" Black asked, smiling at me. I averted my gaze and fixed it on the door. I was going to find a way to leave without my mum risking her life. I just had to get out that door.
"Mira baby come over here." Black said with a sickening sweet voice.
I rolled my eyes refusing to move or say anything.
She won't believe him if she does not hear from me.
"Mira baby come here!" He called again, his voice increasing a notch. He really was very impatient.
My hands trembled. My heartbeat could be heard across the room. I exhaled. But I still didn't move. I felt like I was glued to the ground. A statue.
Black shook his head angrily when he saw that I was not going to obey him.
"Mira baby!" He snapped, stretching his hands for me to take. He glared at me daring me to ignore his hand and that's exactly what I did.
"Young man you are Lucky I am in a good mood or I would have had you hnted down even if you lived on the edge of the world or in another planet. And when I find you, you will be locked in a room far away from the rest of the world and the key thrown into the ocean. Now next time...." My mum kept shouting. I could tell how angry she was.
She didn't like people playing games with her especially if they used her children as pawns.
However her threat annoyed Black so much I imagined steam coming out of his ears.
I suddenly regretted being disobedient.
I should have learnt how to fight from Scar, but I thought that he would always be there to save me.
Black turned to face me, his nose flared in anger. "You slut!" he yelled. Before I could breath out a word he was inches close to me. He grabbed my hands and pulled me to him. The phone was still on, meaning my mother was listening. I knew my mum won't hang up until she was sure that it was really a prank.
Black held my neck with his right hand, strangling me. I tried to breath struggling and kicking, but it only made his grip stronger. The more I fought the stronger he held me and the angrier he became.
"Let go of me!" I cried out. He let go of my neck and griped my hair pulling them back forcefully. I yelped out in pain.
"Now tell your mother that you are here!" He growled. I moaned out in pain as his hand pulled my hair even harder. "Tell her now!"
"Mum....." I choked out but I couldn't get the rest of the words out of my mouth as my body exploded with pain.
"Mira.. Mira!" My mum called out loud, panicking. "What are you doing to my daughter! Who are you?"
"You will find out soon. Just come to the address I will call for you now. When you come you will find out everything you need to know and come alone. Take note that if you disobey any of my instructions your daughter would be dead before you even get here.."
"Mum don't come its a trap..." I interjected, shouting as high as my voice could go amidst the pain that was exploding in my body from being gripped by my hair.
Black angrily pushed me to the wall and my head crashed into it. I fell down slowly as blood tricked down from my forehead into my lips.
I touched my head and looked at my fingers.
Blood.
My vision became blurred.
