The Gang Leader's Obsession

Chapter 119

Ch. 119 / 185 Jun 03, 2025

"Mira." Scar called, sighing loudly either from relief or happiness.

His voice immediately softened almost sounding weak. "Why are you here?"

"Couldn't leave you alone now could I?" I asked with a smile, completely forgetting about my dream, his scary voice and my doubting mind. Scar was a good person and I knew he wouldn't lie to me or use me.

I believed so.

"You don't sound so happy to see me were you expecting someone else to play nurse?" I teased.

A low chuckle escaped from his lips.

One that I could hear loud and clear signalling that he was just behind the wooden wall.

His voice was so deep and sexy it was almost sounded unreal.

"Is that your way of asking if I'm single? Well I am baby and I would love to be your man."

I laughed out loud to mask the sudden jumping of my heart with fervour both from love, fear and so many other emotions.

He just had a way to get to me.

"You wish." I said amidst laughter. I heard him retreat and I took that as a cue to hurry up my bathe.

When I was done I draped over my body the long gown my mum had packed for me so that I looked decent and Scar would not touch me

If only she knew.

But I didn't mind though. She was just a mother trying to protect her child.

The gown made me look so small but it was red so I just sucked it up.

I packed my clothes and toiletries back into my bad. Tying up the dirty and the neat ones separately.

Then I tied my hair up with a rubber I found in my bag since my mom had forgotten to get me a comb and the hair was still wet.

"You look beautiful." Scar complemented immediately I walked back into the room.

I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway. I would never get used to complements as long as they were coming from him.

Beautiful was a word that many had used to describe me many a time that it no longer had any effect on me, but with Scar it was different.

The sun from the huge windows settled on his face and his Scars started to look feint almost as if they were cleaning off.

I walked over to him and tried to touch his face, but just like before he held my hands stopping them before they could feel his Scars.

"Don't." He whispered looking as if he really wanted me to, but couldn't let me.

I smiled sadly, "How do you feel?" I asked, trying to calm him down once again.

"Fine. The bullet just grazed my skin. How are you? I can't believe you stayed with me through out the night." He said with a smile. He took both my hands in his and kissed it. "Thank you my love. Thank you for staying."

Tears gathered in my eyes at hearing how genuinely grateful he sounded for so little a gesture from me. I really wanted to caress his cheek to touch him.

I wanted him to know that his Scars didn't mean anything to me. That I loved him despite it. But I had to respect his insecurities about it.

"I would never leave you." I smiled. He wrapped his hands around my waist and drew me close to him so that I was trapped inbetween his legs.

He rested his head on my stomach as I caressed his short hair lovingly. "You mean everything to me Mira. Everything."

The Doctor chose just then to walk in startling the both of us.

"Good Morning Li...Scar." He corrected, when his eyes met mine.

What did he want to call Scar? I wondered. Lion?

Lion.

Ken had called him that.

So also that man yesterday. The leader of the Robbers. Why? Did the Doctor know him?

"Good morning Doctor." Scar replied, letting go of me.

I could tell that something had upset him so suddenly. I just couldn't place my hands on what it was.

I didn't know if he was mad at me or the doctor. Was he angry that the Doctor had almost called him Lion?

"Good morning Sir." I greeted, as the Doctor walked further into the room stopping at the foot of the bed.

There was a trace of fear in his eyes that quickly disappeared when he spoke to me.

"Can you excuse us please. I need to check him Privately."

"Sure." I nodded, carrying my bag. I pecked Scar on the cheek, "I will be right outside if you need me."

He nodded and smiled but I could tell that he was still upset.

I closed the door gently behind me already eager to see Scar again as if I had not just spent the night with him. There were so many questions I wanted to ask him, so so many.

The same nurse from yesterday night came to view almost startling me.

Why were they all acting so suspicious?

Are per morning her face was painted with even more make up than yesterday night, it almost made her look hideous.

"Good morning." I hurriedly greeted, leaning over at the door.

I didn't want her to think that I was listening in on the conversation going on in the room. Something I didn't plan to do.

"Good morning." She replied, stopping right in front of me. "Due to some circumstances you have to leave this floor to the down floor."

"Why?" I asked, curiosity laced in my eyes as I slung my bag on my shoulders.

"Instructions from the doctor."

"Please Follow me." She added.

A part of me wanted to fight her for I really wanted to be here waiting for Scar incase he needed me, but another part, the more reasonable one knew it was better to just go with her to keep the peace.

However, I knew that it wouldn't be for long before I came back up to check on my man just incase they were planning to do ANYTHING whatsoever to him.

He was my responsibility as I was his.

But, thoughts of this quickly took second place in my head as I arrived at the first floor of the hospital.

It was not Jampacked per se but it was full with people; limping, crying begging people. I wanted to puke reminded once again of the reason why I hated hospitals with everything in me.

The Nurse closed the gate that led back upstairs leaving me feeling trapped as I watched people stare at me with Inquisition.

I would have to blend in with them and the thought of it was anything but beautiful.

"Just great." I mumbled as I walked further to the waiting room, sighting an empty chair that could serve the purpose of keeping me away from others.

I couldn't wait to go back to Scar.
