White Lion's POV
A FEW WEEKS AGO
Ken was going to die by my hands that I was sure of with everything in me. With my very existence I was sure of the fact that I would be the one to end him but not now.
I wanted to humiliate him first. I wanted to destroy him both physically and emotionally. I was going to make a statement with him and after him no one would dare move past what I had requested ever again.
My phone rang reminding me that I had one in the first place. It had been resting on the table the whole day.
If there was any urgency Marcus would come over to Mira's home and inform me of course without drawing attention to himself or to me. That had been the instruction.
It was bad for business not to take the phone with me all the time but considering that it was among the most expensive phones in the market I couldn't take it out to meet Mira. If she saw me with an iPhone my cover would be completely blown.
I clicked on the receive button and pressed the phone to my ears while I tried to steady my heartbeat.
"Lion." Sophia's voice buzzed through the phone making me pinch my nose in frustration.
"What is it?" I snapped.
The last thing I wanted was to speak to any one. Not only because I wasn't in the mood, but because I didn't want anyone to see through my voice the pain that was threatening to crumble me.
Sophia exhaled, probably sensing how on edge I was feeling but continuing to speak anyway.
"We have chief cornered but we also have less than thirty minutes to get this information from him before we become the hunted ones. And Lion he looks really adamant on not giving us the whereabouts of Mr Nelson..."
"What do you want me to do then Sophia?!" I spat, cutting her off.
"Marcus is there. There is a reason why I have asked you two to work on this, Don't you think? Get the job done by any means possible."
She exhaled, not daring to contradict me.
I was about to hang up when I realized how good a distraction this could be for me.
It was either I continued to torture myself or someone else and frankly speaking I loved the very idea of showing a little bit of power just to remind myself that I was WHITE LION. The most feared gang leader in the entire country and beyond, and Ken would know this. He sure would.
But for now I needed first to remind myself how it used to feel like to be completely heartless and immortal while at it. How it felt like to be death.
"I will be right there." I informed Sophia not mixing the sigh of relief she let out at my words.
Chief Nwabueze must be really giving them a tough time.
I dropped the bottle of Whisky on the table and picked up the telecom, "Jide mobilize three men. We are going for business now."
"Yes Boss." Jide said a bit too loudly. There was something in his voice that made me uneasy, but I didn't want to worry about that.
Just then I got a text from Sophia.
Sophia: We are at platinum bar. VIP section.
I smirked at my phone as the thought of feeding my pain with violence started to look very appealing.

WHITE LION'S POV
A FEW WEEKS AGO
It took Jide ten minutes to get to Platinum bar at a speed that I was impressed with.
I had chosen to take the black BMW which announced my presence. This was to prevent the Police from stopping us on the road because of the high speed Jega was blowing.
Sophia had seemed to really need help and that I was willing to give to her. We were paid millions to execute this deal properly and I did not want to blow this up.
Considering my plans to finally get out of all this, money was exactly what I needed now, and I couldn't fail a job. That would dent my image which was something I could not afford.
I blanked my mind and put on an emotionless facade one that was befitting for the situation I was about to handle.
We stopped in front of a huge red gate and It opened up letting us into a building in the high of the city.
I stepped down and walked up the three stairs that led to the club. The bouncer immediately took notice of me and pushed the door open.
I had cleaned off the make up on my face and dressed up in a black suit. I painted three straight lines on both sides of my face something that helped conceal my identity a bit and drew fear from people.
Stepping into the two story building that held men who wanted to enjoy the graces of women of all shapes and women who wanted a lot of money, All heads whipped to my direction.
I was in between Jide, and Ufoma one of my men who had the height and muscles to go with his heartlessness.
They were almost as tall as I was, so sure our presence was dominating. Even the bouncers at all pillars of the hall had their eyes focused on us in fear.
The Bar smelt like, sweat, sex, alcohol and all things drugs, but through all the ecstasy I remained the centre of attention.
All eyes seemed to be focused on me as if their spirit somehow sensed that I held all the powers
It could have been my eyes drawing them in although that was debatable as they were covered in lens or the mark on my face. Or Maybe Audrey was right and something in my presence just screamed danger.
I took the stairs at the right close to the door, not minding the eyes that bore holes into me as I walked over to the Room for the VIP
They could only stare but none would dare confront me.
I had been to the VIP section before, it was where I had had a meeting with one politician a few months ago so I knew the way and my men followed behind me.
That first door on the hallway held the most important personalities, thus I knew this was where Chief Nwabueze was.
Jide kicked the sliding door open flexing his fist. He always felt the need to prove himself. He was all muscles but hardly any personality.
Most gang leaders would like it, but not me. I wanted a mind, senses and a soul along with stealth, maybe not a heart but a soul nevertheless.
And that was why Marcus was special.
"Boss do we go in?" Ufoma asked flexing his muscles. The light on the hallway focussed on his features making his nose appear bigger and his head looked like it would fall of his head.
I stepped in almost smiling when I remembered how Mira had insisted that I stayed with her at the DPO's office. I wondered how the expression on her face would be if she saw Ufoma under the blue light. She always seemed to never know how to hide what she was feeling, at least from me. I thought of her smile as I walked into the office knowing that I would soon be with her.
The VIP one room had a pole on a small stage and black couches arranged in a circle with a glass table in between.
It was a small dimly lit room but it sure served its purpose.
Chief was sitting on one of the Sofas and Marcus sat across him tapping his legs impatiently.
Their eyes took me in as I walked in.
Just then Sophia came forward from a corner where she might have gone to, in an attempt to call me again.
Marcus stood up obviously not expecting me. He and Sophia were still not getting along that much was obvious.
"Lion." He whispered and Chiefs eyes settled on me. A look of fear passed his expression, but he quickly regained himself.
"So more back up Huh. You little boys think you have it in you to break me. I who have been in this business before your father thought of fucking your whore of a mother." He spat.
He was putting on a green shirt and black pants and there was a cut on his left eyebrows which told me that Marcus had hit him.
He sure had his wife worried sick about him, but was over here fucking numerous women.
His eyes were bloodshot and his tanned skin rough. It looked like he was having a good time being on the high. Something in me seethed at the thought.
I hated men like him. Men who had no regard for their wives and children. If he did he would not be here subjecting himself to numerous diseases.
I flexed my jaw as I felt my body heat up in anger despite the blazing air conditioner. "What an unlucky day you have here, Mr Nwabueze." I spoke, with fake amusement.
Marcus made way for me to pass.
Moving past him I walked over to the table knowing that I would enjoy this business more than it was healthy.
He had just called my mother a whore. No one dares to do that. No one.
