"Mira." Scar whispered softly as though my name belonged to a god and he, he was meant to worship it.
He held my hands more firmly as if he he was afraid that I was air and if he didn't hold me tight enough then I would disappear.
His voice was soft and pleading and so goddamn erotic.
Those damn, seductive, deep voice sent a tingle straight down to my core almost tearing me apart with several emotions.
Jesus!
I had missed him so damn much! His face, his scars, his everything. The way he towered over me, a god that could protect me, always.
A god that broke his promise to you, a small part of my mind whispered reminding me of why we had been apart in the first place.
I met his burning gaze with one of my own even though my heart was racing so fast.
I had completely forgotten the reason why I had come downstairs in the first place.
"What is it Scar? I thought I made it clear that I didn't want to see you anymore!" I hissed, venom laced in my voice.
I tried to pull my arm away from his grip, but his hold was tight.
My body shuddered in fear that I would give into him and anticipation of what It would mean for us if I did.
"Scar let go!" I said through clenched teeth, still struggling against him albeit weakly. "Now."
"Please talk to me Mira. Can you just stop avoiding me, I'm begging you. Just give me another chance."
His eyes were pleading seriously with me and looking at them made me weak.
I averted my gaze hating that the light in the staircase was on.
I didn't want him to notice the desire in my expression, but with the light on there was no running away from his searching eyes.
I exhaled, eyes darting at anything but at him.
The yellow light of the stairs made the grey painted wall look almost ethereal or maybe everything just looked beautiful because Scar was here with me.
"Let go of me scar!" I seethed. This time I successfully pulled my hands away from his loosening grip and turned to leave, but he held me back.
Maybe even if he didn't, I wont still have been able to leave.
"Please can we just go back to the way we used to be. I swear I'll do anything for us to be together again." Scar whispered.
He bent so his face was few inches away from mine.
On one hand, I wanted to start a painful journey up the stairs knowing that I couldn't go out again with how dishevelled my entire being was, thanks to Scar taking me off guard.
On the other hand, I wanted to embrace him but I was too torn to do any.
"You chose your secrets over me, you broke my heart. I never want to see you again. Never! Please leave!" I half screamed, shocking both him and me.
I took a deep breath that didn't make its way to my lungs, thus almost choking the life out of me.
But I was determined to fight this to the very end even if it kills me.
I had started climbing the stairs when his voice stopped me, forcing me to turn around.
My eyes lingered at his feet, studying his black boots too scared to look up into his eyes.
"Do you... Still ... Love... Me? You had said you loved me that night, Do you still feel the same way?"
He sounded like he had been broken by my rejection. He asked a question he wasn't ready to know the answer to, yet he needed to know the answer.
I looked up to meet his eyes.
He was so scared of what my reply would be. If he was so scared of it why then did he ask?!
He was looking at me like those three words 'I love you' were all he needed to keep living.
I wanted to say 'I love you Scar with all of my heart that it kills me to be away from you like this. That it practically leaves me empty to push you, but that would be me giving in.
I just couldn't love a stranger.
I was doing what was right for us.
A relationship with secrets was bound to fail and if I genuinely wanted us to work as much as I knew I did then I had to do this no matter how it hurts me.
"I don't...any..more." My voice trailed off.
In a second he was on the fifth step with a destabilized, overwhelmed me.
My breath stopped the moment he took hold of my frail shoulders and slightly pushed me against the hard wall.
His right hand was afterwards placed on the wall just by my shoulder level stopping me from walking away.
"Look into my eyes Mira and tell me you don't love me and I would leave." Scar demanded.
I swallowed, feeling my legs beg to give way underneath me. He was demanding the impossible and I wanted to believe that he already knew that.
My entire body craved to feel his pressed against mine, to feel his hands on me and all over me.
My eyes rested on his arm, on the clear muscles on it even though he had tried to hide it with a hoodie.
His hands looked so strong reminding me of all the things he could do with them. Just the thought of this knocked the breathe out of my lungs and I found my eyes darting upwards slowly. My entire being craving to look into his eyes.
But when my eyes finally met his I could not speak. I could not breath.
His whole body emitted a kind of passion that was choking.
I could feel the wetness in my core dripping down to my red panties just from breathing the same air as his.
I craved his touch, his lips, his everything.
He pressed his left hand on the wall completely locking me into him. I shivered as I felt his breath on the crook of my neck.
Slowly and sensuously his lips moved to my ears, "Look into my eyes and say you don't love me Mira." He whispered.
I couldn't do it.
Those eyes of his were my damnation and I knew better than to keep looking in them.
