The Gang Leader's Obsession

Chapter 167

Ch. 167 / 185 Jun 03, 2025

"Well lets start from nationality? How old you are? Your best color? Your favorite food? Your best moments? First Love? Last...." I was babbling so much, eager to ask as many questions as I could.

"Woah. Woah. Woah. Are you a secret agent?" He laughed, shaking his head as if he couldn't just believe me.

"I am not."

"A journalist, maybe?

I chuckled. "Why would you think so?"

"Aren't the questions a bit too personal and thought after?"

"Are they?"

"You tell me."

I swallowed hard, starting to feel ahead of myself. I had indeed bombarded him. I needed to take it slowly, but I just wanted to know. I needed to know the truth about him.

With shaky hands I clutched my glass and brought it to my lips tasting it slowly and then gulping down half the content.

I had waited and longed for this for so long I just could not wait anymore now. My body was on fire for him.

Noah watched me intently and my whole body felt like it was being caressed softly and longingly.

I couldn't stop the blush that crept up my face and I knew that he would notice it as I had become even much fairer than I had been before.

A shy smile slipped out of my lips and I dropped the glass willing my heart to stop racing so fast.

"For a moment there I thought you were going to choke again."

I shot him a death stare and he burst into a fit of laughter raising his hands up "in a wait a bit" gesture.

I mumbled something under my lips that I couldn't even tell as it didn't go along with my mind. Then I rolled my eyes as I couldn't stop myself from being amused by him.

"I love watching you. Like I'm taking a snoop into a secret world and I love trying to stop you from choking."

"Fuck you." I giggled.

He smiled broader as he leaned back on the chair. "I'm from Nigeria. My best color is grey and my best food is anything that taste nice. First love yes, and I've never stopped loving her since I first set my eyes on her."

Our eyes locked and my heart trembled. Unknowingly my eyes started to travel down his lips to his broad shoulders, his biceps.

I immediately caught myself stopping my eyes from taking all of him in for my own benefits.

"Then why are you out to dinner with me?" I shrugged, staring into his eyes.

I could hear my heart pulsate in my head, pleading me to just surrender to him and give it all up.

Pleading for me to give up my past.

"From Nigeria, to one of the richest men in the world. That's awesome, really?" I praised, with an indent tone of suspicion which I was sure he caught on to.

"Inherited most of the things I have" He smiled. "And I am smarter than I look."

"Indeed." I cleared my throat for lack of what to say as I was indeed sounding like a secret agent and it didn't help that I dressed so professional.

"So tell me do I look like a long lost lover cause if I do, you should know that I look like so many people." He said with a sly smile. He was giving me hope yet taking it away in the same sentence.

Everything was swallowing me up and messing with my mind but I started to enjoy his gaze soaking it all in as it calmed me down.

I grunted as I looked over at the counter only to notice that we were really now all alone.

"So tell me about you." He voiced out, filling up the silence of the now chilly restaurant.

I felt his eyes move over me. From my eyes to my nose, cheeks, lips. The curve of my neck. Slope of my shoulders, my chest. The tiny bit of cleavage just peeking out from my red dress.

We locked eyes across the table and everything around us simply faded away as we get Lost in the depths of each other's eyes.

I could feel his desire for me which almost matched with mine. But our desire was not lustful. It was calm, deep, insurmountable yet controlled as though we were both holding back for different reasons entirely.

I barely noticed the waiter as she placed the first course of meal between us. A simple plate of fruit and cheese.

"Well there is nothing much to say. I'm quite the simple girl."

"Well I find you intriguing even in your simplicity." He said, softly. And at that point I wanted to fall into his arms and be there forever.
