Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 61

Ch. 61 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

The next phase of the competition had come and the students of the Moonlight school were bemused over Amaya's absence. Hours turned into days, days turned into weeks, yet, she was not found. Devastated, the school proprietor, Florida, and another panel of judges were seated at their tables and watched as the third phase of the competition was about to start.

"Amaya would have gone for this phase!" a student muttered beside Florida. Florida's memory of her missing daughter flashed back.

The contestants from other schools had brought their participants, and they were ready to go for the third phase skills challenge.

Suddenly, Amaya showed up on the school field…

The school field was silent for some minutes as Amaya ran up to the school field full of energy. "Amaya!" Voices resounded her name in surprise. Florida stood up on her seat and looked at her daughter with wide eyes alongside the proprietor. As the realization sunk in, a wave of emotions swarmed the students as murmurs had now taken over the aura. Some gasped, others blinked in disbelief, and a few could not help but shed tears of joy. Amaya's return was nothing short of a miracle, and the atmosphere was reignited with a newfound energy.

She moved straight to the school field and joined the contestants, substituting the girl who represented her school. Just as Amaya substituted the girl, a round of applauses loom over the field. The stakes on her were high, and the atmosphere was charged with excitement.

She approached each obstacle with great precision, effortlessly conquering obstacles on her path, and outpacing her opponents. The cheers of her schoolmates echoed through the school field as she was leading in the ongoing contest while her fellow contestants struggled to keep pace. Some were visibly fatigued, while others faltered under the pressure. Amaya, however, remained focused, drawing upon her well-honed skills.

Amaya won the game for her school once again, and applause from the students of her school boomed once again. The proprietor clapped his hands in joy and students started approaching her for greetings.

Florida was the first to break free from her stunned state. Without a second thought, she rushed towards her, her steps quickened by a surge of overwhelming emotions. The moment she reached her, a spontaneous burst of hugs enveloped her, and this didn't pass the presence of Latina and Aya who were now sad that she returned.

"The fool is back. How on earth was she able to escape? Our plan didn't work!" Latina whispered in Aya's ear. Aya nodded, and responded.

"She would learn the hard way this time!" Aya gritted her teeth and said.

Amidst the hugs and tears, friends bombarded her with questions, their words tumbling out in a rush.

"How did you escape?"

"Where have you been?"

"We thought you were gone forever!"

Questions like these kept revolving around her ears.

Amaya, wearing triumph on her face, managed a small, enigmatic smile. She responded.

"I cannot explain it all now," she began, her words measured, yet filled with conviction. "But I knew I had to come back, for all of you."

Florida hung her hand over Amaya's shoulder and motioned her toward her office. As they were going, the proprietor walked up to their front with an obvious smile. Florida rolled bad eyes at him.

"Welcome back, Amaya! We were so bothered about your missing. See me in my office later. I and some elders need to see you. Enjoy this moment with your mum. And congratulations again." The proprietor said with his hands in his pockets, yet, Florida's eyes were full of sneer.

Amaya and Florida got to the office. Florida noticed Amaya's sullen look and asked her about it. "What's wrong with you, Amaya? You should be happy you are home! Have a seat and tell me about your abductors."

"Mum, tell me the truth about the prophecy!" Amaya asked her mum. Her mum took her hands off her body and asked.

"And why do you need to know?" Florida asked in annoyance. She seemed to be shocked as Amaya asked the question. She was not expecting it.

"Just tell me, mum!" Amaya screamed, tears coming out of her eyes.

"I am sure that scumbag father of yours has told you lie, isn't it?" Florida asked, having known that she had probably seen her father."Yes. I have seen my father and he has told me everything about me," Amaya responded, tears coming out of her eyes.

"What did you want to know, Amaya? I did everything I did because of you!" Florida screamed back at her.

The prophecy was a revelation that Amaya would be a great fighter who would fight packs and dominate them. She was destined to be a more powerful Lycan, one that would be greater than Florida, but when Florida heard of this, she tamed her from diaper, and that was why she was called a human. She was born to possess a rare beast, but Florida tamed her because she didn't want such a life for her. Florida had always wanted Amaya to become a medical doctor like her, and that was all she wanted, nothing more. However, even as Florida had tamed her, Amaya was warned not to come closer to a Lycan or fall in love with any Lycan as it might awaken her other abilities. That was why she got her light ability retrieved with Cena. However, though, Amaya was sad for Florida changing her fate.

"Don't let that wicked father of yours put negative words in your head, Amaya. You are not a fighter but a peace-maker," Florida said to her face.

"I am not a peace-maker, mum. I am destined by the moon goddess to be a fighter and there is nothing you can do about it. I will stand by my father and fight the packs in our territory," Amaya responded and walked out of her mum.

Two days later. Since none of the three boys, Cena, Dax, and Jeremy could rescue Amaya, the school proprietor had made it a choice for Amaya to choose who she wanted. Amaya chose Jeremy, not because she was now falling in love with him again, but because she wanted to use him secretly to achieve her wants. She was at a party with him, partying alongside her classmates.

Amid the vibrant school party, Amaya laughed and chatted with Jeremy. The cool music provided a lively backdrop as they shared a moment of joy.

"This party is amazing, Jeremy! I can't believe we are having so much fun," Amaya said.

"Yeah, it's great. But you know what makes it even better?" Jeremy asked.

Amaya grinned, anticipating Jeremy's response.

"Being here with you. You make everything more exciting" Jeremy said and sipped from his cup of wine.

"Thanks for the drink! Cheers!" Jeremy said.

The party was booming when they heard a loud growl from behind. They turned behind to see Cena vomiting blood in his hand, struggling for life. Moments later, Cena collapsed onto the floor. The place erupted with screams and noises as students around them reacted with shock.

Cena was rushed to the school clinic and they found out that he was poisoned with silver particles which would reduce his strength and make him unconscious for days. However, the investigation kicked off as they began to search for who poisoned the drink. Meanwhile, Florida was happy that he was unconscious. At least, she knew he would not be with her daughter, Amaya, again.
